I amin desperate need of a tranny!!! I will take the whole bottome end of the engine. You can pull the clutch and all that shit, but i want the cases, tranny and crank. Let me know on price and shipping to 89045. Thanks, Kevin
-
I put it all back together and am still having the problems. So, now I am going to split the cases and pull the tranny apart. I have never worked on a tranny before. Is this a feasible task for me, or do I need to take it in? I feel comfortable doing it. Just want to know if I am going to fuck something up before I go tearing shit apart. Let me know guys. All help is appreciated. 'Shee has been sitting for 2 months. I need to get this thing going. If you need some pics, let me know and I can get them.

So, I pulled off the side case today and guess what I found? A broken shift shaft adjustment bolt! Will this give me the problems I am having, or is this just the beginning?
-
Thanks. I'll try that tonight and let you know what I find.

Hey guys. I am having some problems with my tranny. First of all, I can't get it to shift above second gear and it is hard to get into neutral. There also seems to be alot of play in the shift shaft itself before it will engage either up or down. The shifting from 1st to 2nd is rough and difficult. Any ideas where I should start? Thanks for all of your help. Kevin

whats the best bend for handlebars on a banshee
banshee364 replied to peterlocal22's topic in Product Reviews
I put a YZ kill switch on mine and wired a toggle switch for the lights on bright. Mounted it behind the radiator. I have Pro Taper SE bars in the Carmichael Bend (MX). I have always had motorcycles, so I am used to the lower bends. This is a very low bend, medium pull back and pretty wide. -
Who does this port job and how can I get a hold of him? How much does it cost? And what setup are you, or whoever has this, running? Clutch? Heads, etc? I was going to build a cub this winter, but if this is producing nearly the same amount of power for half the price, I am interested in how much. Thanks.
-
Thanks for all of your input guys. I have been looking around and I think I might go with a Twister setup. I am not sure if I should have them build the egine for me, or if I will order the stuff and so it myself. What do you guys know about Twister setups? Their customer service and such? What type of clutch should I put in to handle the power? Thanks guys. Kevin I think I will try to run 100 octane fuel in this setup. Does that sound okay? What do you reccomend?
-
thanks for the input so far guys. chase, what kind and size of carbs do you reccomend? clutch? a 4 mil would be ok. i could live with that. should i go with a cheetah? cub? sorry for all the newb questions, but i want to do it right.

Hey guys. I have been saving for a couple of months and I have about 3k. I want to build a stroker motor, and everything else to handle it. I have never built a motor like this, so I am going to need some help. I am going to have to replace some of my surrent mods with stuff to accomodate the new motor. My mods are in my sig, so if you have any suggestions, let me know. Okay, so I don't want a huge motor, just something that will really kick some ass on the dunes. I was thinking like a 7 mm. What do you think? I haven't looked into pricing or who to even get the parts from, so I am really open to whatever you guys have tried and recommend. I am really serious and want to do it this winter. Please only respond if you are serious and have experience in doing this. I have worked on bikes all my life, so I will be dong most of the work myself, except of course for the porting, boring and such. Thanks for any and all help/advice.

pro design kill switch (tether) with dyna fs
banshee364 replied to DUB's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
just read the info that came with the dyna. it tells you right in the directions that it is fine to use a tehter kill switch as long as you hook it up right. i think you have to hook it up with a normally open switch, but i could be remembering wrong. -
I just had my frame and my wife's lt-250 frame PC'ed. Could not be happier. Looks sick and is tough as nails. It holds up way better than paint, and is thicker. It cost me about 120 per frame. Mine is done in gloss black and hers is blue with silver metallic clearcoat. It is well worth it. Plus, there is no prep work for you. You just tear down the bike, take in the frame, and they do all of the work. They sandblast it and then put it in a bake-off oven to clean all the oil out of the metal. Great process. I have pics if you want to see the finished product.

thanks, but i don't have a tors onmy bike anymore. i put on the trinity 2 into 1 a long time ago. anyway, i took off all of my electrical components yesterday and bench tested them. even the wires. all was good, so i put it back on, and checked and cleaned all connections with contact cleaner. still nothing. this leads me to believe it is the cdi. i ordered a new one last night. will be here on tuesday. i bought the dynatek fs programmable ignition. what are your guys opinions on this box if you have it? what kind of difference is it making inyour higher rpm's as well as botteom end? thanks for all your help.

this may sound like a really dumbass, newby question, but on the ignition coil, black to negative and orange to positive, right? thanks.
