  1. I'm in the process of putting a blaster basketcase together and noticed the balljoints are shot. Can these be replaced and if so who has what I need and how's the install? Will banshee joints work also, I plan on running banshee brakes and the uppers I have are the older style that won't fit banshee spindles.
  2. I probably won't meet up with him again until January, we've got a ride planned at Windrock in Tennessee. In the mean time I'm shopping for a project 250r. The banshee doesn't really fit my riding style over the last year or two, I might part it out and buy an R.
  3. I've got 2, 3, and mx vs. atv unleashed so I'm sure I'll buy this one soon.
  4. I had mine glass bead blasted and it only cost me about $20. I lightly sanded them after that to get them smooth and then coated them with clear high heat engine enamel to keep them from tarnishing constantly. Looks good and has held up great.
  5. I was really impressed with it, but he couldn't shake my 450r. The 450r pushed his tires from behind all day. I know my banshee wouldn't stand a chance in the woods though. I'd trade the shee off for a really nice 250r if I could find one of equal value.
  6. I'm thinking it's ported too, he's not the original owner so he may not know for sure. I know it runs really good.
  7. Riding my banshee fell through since some stuff I ordered didn't come in, anyway I rode my 450r and his 250r runs really strong. It was pretty even against my 4stroke, especially in the woods. Those things are badass, I need to buy one when I get done with this blaster I just bought. Anyway, I've got a feeling my banshee will roast him on asphalt but lose on dirt. His just goes and pulls pretty hard, his power is all over like a 4stroke. I'm thinking his motor is a little fresher/ has more than he leads on though, it runs waaaayyyy to good.
  8. Your talking about ehs racing.
  9. Not sure of the model, but I'm going with aftermarket arms with ball joints to fit a banshee or yfz. I need the hubs, rotors, calipers and spindles to save me the headache of getting it all separate.
  10. Leave it to a Canadian to fly the rebel flag too, sounds kind of obsessed with American culture but is always so critical of it.
  11. Like the title says, need all the front brakes minus the lines. I need spindles, rotors, hubs and calipers for a blaster conversion. May be interested in the rear setup too if the price is right. If you are parting out a banshee and have this stuff let me know. Jared
  12. I forgot to add that, I did move the clip to the third/middle now. I'll probably go ahead and get the 48 pilot in there to, seems like the 50 could be rich even with the clamp on right now (I'm around 700 feet and I never have to use the choke to start it).
  13. I'm from Mesa originally too, went to Dobson High School and grew up on alma school rd. between guadalupe and baseline. White06shee, what part are you from?
  14. My current jetting is in my sig, I'm ADDING an airbox with no lid and a pro flow kit. I thought dropping from my 190 main to maybe a 185ish would do, just don't want to spend all week messing with it since I've got a big ride planned for the coming weekend. I've got plenty of jets to go down with, I think all the way to a 170 (doubt I'll need it anytime soon). Other than that I guess I can keep the 50 pilot and open the air screw up some. Maybe a 48 pilot? Jared
  15. Kind of a wierd item to ask for, but I need several billet aluminum spacers for various things in the garage, just like you would get with a skid plate or nerf bar mounting hardware. Round pieces about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick with a hole in the center. I called AC racing and all they will sell are the mounting kits as a whole. If you have several that you want to sell or can point me in the right direction it would be a major help. Jared
  16. It's not that his bike is really modded out like you can see, but he probably can put the power to the ground easier. I just gotta beat this guy, you don't even know. He heard from some guys at work that I could ride and told a few people it didn't matter what I did to my bikes, his R had never been beat...sounds gay, really gay. As a matter of fact a guy at work who wants to buy his first quad asked this guy for his recommendation and he said "they don't make any good ones, they quit back in 89 with the 250R"...aaaahhhhhh :: I need to get this on camera.
  17. Me and close to 30 others have a big ride planned for next weekend and I'll meet up with a guy I work with who's been talking shit for close to 2 years about his 86 250r. His bike is stock bore, unported with a tr5 esr pipe, rad valve, and a 38mm airstryker w/ airbox and he says it always runs real rich. He just ordered a new set of knarlies for the rear, I've got a new set of razrs on mine. Just wondering what to expect in a drag, mods are in my sig. I think he's running some fairly high gearing too. I can't lose to this b*tch or I'll die!
  18. Razrs are good tires, I'm about to have a set mounted today or monday on my banshee. I thought about the razr2's, but I like the idea of being able to break traction when I want to. I noticed alot of the GNCC racers will run razr2 fronts, but either regular razr or irazr rears. I've also had good luck with these tires in the past, other than 4 plys busting like crazy if you ride hard or anywhere rocky.
  19. irazrs for straight line traction, just plan on them wearing out really fast.
  20. I've got both too, my R has an HRC kit and a few other goodies and it's pretty quick. I wouldn't hesitate to race any mild banshee with it. I think it puts its hp to better use and gets better traction.
  21. Regular neoprene braces work good to keep the heat in, your only other option is true braces with hinges...I strained my ACL in high school and had to have one custom fit...cost the insurance co. over $1,000. 661 and Asterisk make some nice regular braces. I wear Thor force knee guards myself, but they're more for protection.
  22. I'm in north alabama, there's several in the cycle trader here for what you want to spend. If you're interested I can get you a copy, I think it covers Georgia and some of Tennessee too.
  23. Throw his name out there, I'd probably get a good kick out of reading all of his old posts. :shoothead:
