  1. all the more reason for me to stay away from it then. I despised most of the people I went to school with.
  2. Toomey, I couldn't agree w/ you more. I work for a school district so I see it every day. I've had the same conversation a couple of times and said the same thing as you just did. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who sees what I see. sadly I forsee to getting much worse long before it gets any better. as a matter of fact I was working in an elementary school tonight and the kids are animals.
  3. I say screw the gas companies. lets all just switch to alky. I got the plans for the still. what we don't use to ride, we can drink(prob. go blind in the process, but oh well.).
  4. I was wondering about that too when I saw both of my sisters's accounts, cause I know neither one of them is 14. especially since the older of the 2 was 14 when I was a senior in high school.(that was many many moons ago.) Guess I'll just have to sign up an account.(grumbling.......the things I do to stay in in the loop..........grumbling some more.)
  5. $100 bucks say their parents will all go, "But they are such good kids", "there's no way they could have done this.", "I didn't know there was a problem. they always seemed happy". Same bullshit everytime.
  6. like the freakin' Holland tunnel. Haloo.............haloo..............haloo
  7. I'd like to know how she burned the outside of her leg on the pipe.
  8. check the "for sale " section. someone has a set for sale the other day. it might still be there.
  9. My favorite is still exploding a capful of tap water. And yes the cops do look at you funny when you demonstrate it to them after the neighbors call them about you lighting M-80s.
  10. yea eBay was rampant a while back with the same type scam. alot of quads were targeted like that. by the time the check bounced the bike was long gone.
  11. ain't nothingwrong w/ that not a problem. plenty of room to practice(so long as the owner don't plant corn in it this year.
  12. this is starting to sound like a nice upgrade. now if I could only find that article agian that I saw some time ago about mounting YFZ a-arms on a Shee. the guy cut the rear mounts in half and moved one part like 3/4 of an inch (can't remember if the front went forward or the back half went back farther) and used a longer bolt and a spacer tube to mount the lowers and flip-floped the top arms(left on right and vice-versa).
  13. Hell either one can come ride w/ me. I got 2 and I could use the company. everyone seems to keep leaving my hanging the last couple of times out.
  14. Better??
  15. I don't think so. if I remember right, I think they are 2 different sizes.
  16. I'm telling you it's at least a 90% chance that it's gonna be something so asinine and simple, it won't funny. It almost always is. when I installed my 2 into 1setup, I unhooked the TORS and did a p-brake removal while I had the bike stripped down. after I put it back together, it would start on like the 2nd kick cold(didn't even do that when brand new) and idle perfect(didn't do that new either) but would go Bwwaah and bog right down when I hit the gas. spent 4 days trying to figure it out and even re-installed the duals agian thinking the Lectron waqs messed up, and it did the same thing w/ the dual. I even started to hook the TORS back up., when I noticed that I forgot to unhook the the stupid switch for the p-brake. A week of headaches because I missed disconnecting 2 little wires. Doh!
  17. just kiddin' usually they run about $2.50 a plug, give or take 5 or 10 cents depanding on the dealer. they come in singles or in 10 packs. I get the 10 packs, since I have 3 bikes that use the same ones and was having trouble carb probs with my R at one time and kept fouling them left and right. I alway keep a few floating around, cause ya never know when you'll need them, cause there is some cosmic law out there that says when you need them the most you won't be able to get them.
  18. Man, the last few years his grip on reality has gotten worse and worse. Soon he'll be like Michael Jackson.
  19. anyone heard from this cat? just wondering if he got rid of it or not, cause I got a guy literally chomping at the bit to trade his YZ for it.
  20. I love it.Hahaha!!
  21. Here's what I posted on how they work in another thread.
  22. these are probibly what you mean. http://www.thunderproducts.com/dial_a_jet.htm there are also ones called Powerjets, too. the style for the pick up is different but they both do the same thing. Here's how powerjets are installed. the process should be pretty much the same. http://216.194.105.243/powerjets.htm basically it's a rip-off of the technology that Lectron has used for 40 years in their carbs.
  23. personally I think they look silly. like a jetski w/ wheels(bad DW april fools cover). they prob go like a bat out of hell in a straight line. I kinda wonder how well they would turn.
  24. Too true, too true. thats how IBM went to crap. Too many cheifs, not enough indians.
  25. mine took 6 weeks to straighten out. but I disloacted it in 3 places.(shoulder joint, shoulder blade and collar bone). F'd it up REAL GOOD. slipped on gravel in a parking lot where I worked. tucked into a forward roll cause I couldn't catch my balance and landed square on the shoulder blade. I hit so hard, it pushed my arm around my side and I was touching my back from the wrong side(touch your right hand to your left hip and picture your elbow at about where your wrist is.OUCH!). Cracks/Pops like a mofo still to this day and the collar bone still slips out once in a while(mostly if I sleep on it wrong), but for the most part it's cool now. My advise is even if it feels good by the next time you ride, give it another week. It might not hurt, but it will still be weak. and like bigboybanshee said, ice and lots of rest for it.
