  1. i'm just finishing my build right now and never really had a chance to try em' out but here's a few pics.these are +3+1 ASRs.
  2. the larger i went in displacement(bore size) the more concerned i'd be with case porting. for a stock bore shee motor, i wouldn't even bother. at 68mm i'd start to consider getting my cases ported. especially with a dune/drag port. if your sinking big bucks into a 10mm engine or larger,i wouldn't bother running it unless it was case ported. but hey, thats just me.
  3. spindles - $40 calipers w/brakelines - $40 J arms and lowers $80 (these will need sand blasting)
  4. where is the ride going to be held? what part of maine?
  5. chalk up one more great transaction on jeff's list! good guy to deal with. thanks man.
  6. yep, i agree with " . " building from scratch is really expensive, assuming your on a tight budget. i've been there ,done that. you will get hammered on shipping and buying individual parts is expensive. buy an older a-arm rolling chassis or complete machine and go from there.
  7. are they cut for a stroker crank as well? i'm interested if so.
  8. worn out float needle? check for a groove or ring worn around the tip of the float needle. this may be causing your problem. lots of previous posts and info on this as well.
  9. got four frames in storage and ones got to go. the one i'm giving away has no papers/registration. i dont know where to look for serial #s on it. it is a J-arm frame and it's yours if you want it! looking for leads on a good used billet stator cover and billet water pump cover.
  10. i bought mine so i'd have something to work on and tinker with as well as throw money at.i've always been a fan of two strokes .i drive 2 stroke sleds in the winter so i wanted something with almost the same sound and smell to rip on in the summer(love that two stroke smell!) i wouldn't call the banshee an unreliable machine but it takes a bit more common sense to operate then a 4 stroke. you have the gas and oil mix ratio to deal with which may seem in convienient to some but its all part of owning a banshee. some people like the powerband and others don't. problems are a bit easier to diagnose with a 2 stroke cause there are less moving parts than a 4str. i'm sure i've got several thousand miles on my current engine without any major failures or mechanical problems. that being said the engine is now in pieces and is being rebuilt.(+4 crank, new pipes, porting, etc...) this site is also a great guide for any issues that you may run into and to do some research to see wether this is the right kind of machine for you.
  11. i'd be using some of that idle time to work on a new resume' if my job was that boring.
  12. check your messages, i pm'd you. thanks.
  13. also try a search on this one. theres alot of info in here on that subject.
  14. like the shee said, worn float needle or seat. time for new ones. inspect the float needle closely. a ring or groove usually gets worn on them. if this is the case , replace it cause its not sealing properly.
  15. just bought a box of lower end parts from minkia. if these are'nt in there i'll get them from you.i need an adjuster nut thats in good condition cause mine is trashed. thanks!
  16. anybody got one they wanna sell?????
  17. thanks man, but i'm look'in for douglas rims.
  18. need some small parts for my rebuild. these include: dowel pins for the cases, shifter adjuster screw, shifting fork shaft C-clips, and the shift lever shaft and mecanisim. any help on this would be greatly appreciated. i'd order this stuff from my dealership but it usually takes three weeks for the parts to get here. figured i'd try here first.
  19. not sure how old these are but my guess would be 2-3 years. they seat fairly flat. $30 is the price. heres the pics
  20. use Ipone full synthetic for that fruity strawberry smell!
  21. i use wiseco's in my sled engines and they have proven to be very reliable. used them in my banshee engine as well.
  22. stock carbs $40 stock crank $ 75 carb boots w/boyseen reeds on stock cages and crossover $40
