  5. here's a few pics of my fire road bike. i run it at a few of the local pits and tracks so i guess i can say it's a mx bike as well.
  6. as the topic title says, i'm looking for a set of pods and outerwares for my 35mm mikuni carbs. must be in good condition.(no burns ,rips or crushed filters) thanks!
  7. mikunis or keihins?
  8. cheater!
  9. checking "piston wash" is actually a real good way to check your air/fuel mixture on a two stroke engine where you can see directly down the plug hole. you are checking the size of the carbon deposit on the top of the piston. the bigger the deposit the richer the the mixture.
  10. what kinda car you got?
  11. i recently dealt with Sudco in Ca. they had everything i ordered and thier customer service was awesome. it took a week to get the parts, but considering where i live,(nova scotia, canada) this was fairly quick service. i run tmx 35's and i was impressed that they had the parts in stock .i would definately buy from them again.
  12. we're gonna need abit more info, like mods you got done and plug color.
  13. consult a reputable engine builder and have him do a port job.
  14. yep, i'd be in for a couple of hats and shirts.
  15. yeah, the samurai ipone is okay unless of course you are trying to mix your oil to a certain ratio like 32:1 or 40:1. they give you the option between 1% and 2% ( 100 : 1 and 50 : 1 ) with no other mixing instructions on the bottle! way to drop the ball guys! f'in idiots!
  16. for carb parts, i'd recommend Sudco. they have easy to understand parts break downs on thier website and usually have all the parts in stock. companies actually stocking the parts you want is extremely rare these days, incase anyone hasn't noticed!!! their customer service is also second to none.(they even ship to canada!)
  17. will be at the 6 mile brook pit on sunday at 12 noon if anyone wants to go for a run!
  18. will try to shoot a short vid on sunday so you have an idea on the sound of these pipes.
  19. i'm a fan of the 916. good low end power and they have that light switch powerband that hits all of a sudden. just don't ruin thier awesome sound by putting on the spark arrestor!
  20. in between diaper changes with my new daughter, i managed to get out and do a few heat cycles on the new motor. after that i took it out for a rip. lots of horse power! i noticed when i let off in 6th and then hit it again the revs would come up but the bike would not gain speed porportionally with the motor.sounds to me like the clutch is slipping a bit. are the clutch spings in an fzr 1000 interchangealbe with a banshee? there is already a barnett kit in it but it doesn't seem to be doing the job.
  21. shit! may have to duck out of the ride this week end. something big came up (see the " Uh Oh" post in the general discussion section) will try to get out for a quick run the following weekend in the same spot if anyones up for it. wife was due on the 22nd but she delivered on tuesday night! really wanted to get out for a run with you guys but this takes priority over just about everything.
  22. i think it's exit 19 if you're heading towards new glasgow. take a left at the top of the ramp, hang a right at the stop sign. theres a parking lot on the right and an old irving station lot on the left. either spot would be a good spot to meet up. i got the banshee together but i'm still trying to get spark.i hope to get it running today(saturday). maybe do a few plug chops and get it tuned.any problem with cops or lands and forest wardens around the pit? the bike is'nt registered or insured yet.
  23. more pics
  24. here's a few pics of the ASR's after they were installed on the bike. hope this helps!
  25. it says in the add "the original alien system" and then right below that it says they are a new system. wish these guys would make up thier mind. a 25% hp gain is pretty much they same power as the"originals " put out. they still look identical. no mods to the cones or chamber what so ever. phone DMC and ask if this is a new design or just the originals with new anodized silencers.
