yep 69 mil is a big bore. are they stock cylinders or the vito's billet one. if they are stock see if there is a spacer plate under the cylinders.(kinda like and extra thick base gasket). are you running wiseco pistons? if you can still see the #s on it post them on this thread and see if they are 795s. these pistons are for the 115 long rod stroker cranks. not many people have the stock stroke cranks with a long rod. so youcan almost be sure its a stroker. or get out the measuring stick and check the stroke.
i bought a few odds and ends from him and i always got what i ordered. don't know what to tell ya. maybe wait a few more days and try him again. try PM'ing him on this site.
if you got the extra quid to spend , go for the +4 long rod(115). the longer rod is more for reliability(less piston/cylinder wear). not many people go for the stock rod length any more. you'll really be pleased with the power difference these mods will make!!! be sure to tell him you are going with the+4 115mm crank before he does any porting!
Yeah!!! something like that one.^^^^^^ i think "wallrat" did the original MS paint boost bottle dyno chart. it was a classic!
Quote > "So much power that i slapped yo momma!" absolutely brilliant!
yep i got em. they are a good trail/MX pipe. the DMC's reach thier peak hp/rpm a bit earlier than the Pro-Circuits. i took the bike out on the lake today and was wishing i had a pipe with a bit more over-rev . other than that i'd be 100 % happy with them. they also have an unmistakeable sound.something like a sportbike (gsxr 1100 maybe).
yeah but someone on here posted a really good dyno shootout that was put on by dirtwheels magazine that has more pipes on it.the test was based on a stock engine and they tried about 15 different pipes . i can't seem to find the post anywhere. it was a while ago.
try this http://www.angelfire.com/extreme2/yambansh...s/pipeinfo.html theres also another chart floating around this site somewhere with some more pipe info. try a search.
i enjoy hunting, target shooting, snowmobiling, sea-dooing, binge drinking and distilling my own alcohol! i also took up a new past-time about six months ago called diaper slinging. fun fun fun!!
a bit bigger on the pilot will definately help. maybe 27.5 or probably 30's .i don't know what to tell you on the needle though. i have a +4 HR crank but run fairly aggressive porting and compression + bigger carbs so i don't know how helpful my mod list would be to ya. take a boo anyway and see what you think. try checking out some other peoples mod lists and find a comparable set-up to what you have.shoot em a pm and ask what they are running for a carbs set-up.
definately start richer. CPI's tend to rev higher so they are probably a hotter running pipe. go up 2 or 3 sizes on the mains and start from there(imo). someone with CPIs should check in here soon.
thanks for posting this info! was always interested in how much of a difference there was between 1 into 2 and a dual carb set up. like the test showed, the reeds don't really make much of a difference on an engine with this small of a displacement. they only are claiming 3-5 hp on an 800cc tripple cyl, prostock snowmobile engine. we need more posts like this on the HQ. props to you snopczynski !
