  1. I've been trying to get one of those here. They cost about R600 - R800 (+/-USD100) this side. What do they cost by you guys? As there is no stock here, I might look at getting one shipped over.
  2. Bump! Any answers? please?
  3. We def get ripped badly. Some of my mates have started buying stuff from the states and importing them over. I paid R1200 (+/-USD185) for a pro design filter with billet mount, how does that compare on your side. I see they are manufactured in CA.
  4. It does look like Joburg. Haven't seen any boards like that up here though. There was a guy caught at 285kmh on his GSXR1000 and the idiot actually stopped and got slapped with a 45k fine!
  5. All that shit freaks me out! Math's is freaking weird!
  6. So what's the verdict? Just how high does a banshee rev? I tried to hook up the rev counter this week end but couldn't get it to work. I got power so that I can set the peak for the shift light, but if I put in back into tach mode there's nothing. There's a green wire that the instructions say needs to go onto the negative terminal of the coil, which did not work! The rev counter has a switch on the back to flip from 3,4 or six cylinder, could this be the problem? What if I tried to double the wire up going to the coil and leave the switch on four cylinders? Any suggestions please? Worst comes to worst I'll just sell it to some one with a modded car or something. Luckily I picked it up real cheap!
  7. Hey nam! Is that 315kph pic from SA?
  8. So the rev counter that I got would work, as it runs to 11k? The instructions say that the wire has to go onto the coil, stupid question, does the banshee have a coil and where does it sit? I will def tell my bud with the kart to show me that 15k shit!
  9. The guy that told me it should rev to fifteen races a 125cc kart and he reckons he revs to fifteen.
  10. Hi Guys! Can anyone tell me at what rpm the shee peaks? I have bought a rev counter with shift light, and it only goes up to 11 thousand. Some guys are telling me it revs to like 15k. Any one on line that can tell me? Thanks in advance!
  11. That is funny shit man!
  12. I don't really know that much technically. But it def sounds like fuelling problem of some sorts which could be quite a few things! Wait till the other guys get online, there's plenty people out here that know a lot. It really sucks when the shee is having problems though!
  13. None! I haven't ever seen snow in my life! I reckon the closest is seeing pics and movies. Suits me fine though all I need is sand and mud!
  14. Yeah it sucks that there are people out there that are willing to steal other peoples hard earned money. I will have to start learning the shee myself!
  15. Needless to say I payed the guys! Def not taking my shee back there again, I phoned some of the other shops here and all of them also said I goty ripped. The one place even referred to the shop owner as "bullshit Belcher" on account of his surname being Belcher. That unnerved me a bit as my first impression was quite good of them. Will be getting a Haynes manual soon and get tinkering. I would have been better off buying the 28mm second hand! Do any of you know what I can put on the spot where the plating has started chipping off on the belly of my Dmc's? From now on I will first check with my fellow HQ'ers before getting ass raped by the work shops!
  16. No that would be South African Rands. It's like 6.5 - 1 US$. The biggest question is; is it possible for my needle and seats to wear out that fast?!?
  17. Welcome! Sounds like you have quite a few toys!
  18. A week after getting my shee back from the pipe change and dyno, the overflow pipes on my carbs would not stop leaking. So I clamped the pipes with some wire, just to finish up the week end. On the Monday I phoned the guys that waorked on my quad and asked them about this. They said it must just be dirt in my carbs and that I should bring it in. I only managed to get it in like a month later and by then my front brakes had sprung a leak too. After having my quad for two days I rang them up to see if they had found a problem, needless to say they did and already repaired it and charged R1800.00 without even consulting me. They said my needle and seats were shot, so they rebuilt my carbs with new gaskets and needle and seats. Some of the bill (R699) was steel braided hoses for the front brakes so that was fine. What gets me is that my bike is fairly new with maybe 15 hours on her. Is it possible to wear the needle and seat out that fast? To top it off, the chrome on one of my dmc's chipped off and they can't warrant it! I understand it's an offroad but for R5000.00 I would have expected them to be a lot tougher. Any suggestions to prevent that area from flaking further? And what do you guys think about the carb story?
  19. I have dmc aliens and they rock. Took my shee to 55hp and that's all I've done so far. The power improved right through the power band, and seems to peak better. Changing the air filter soon as well, not sure what's next on my list though.
  20. Any luck yet? I want to see that sh*t!
  21. How desperate can one be for an extra buck or two? Count me in!
  22. One industries and FX effex also make quite good quality ones and they are mad graphics too!
  23. Fcukn low life mofo's!
  24. I'm sure I'll find something similar in our super markets. If not I'll just get some fine steel wool. Will it work on the chrome surfaces as well without scratching it? There's some of my boots melted on to the bellies! If the steel wool donesn't work, I'll try this, I'm a bit scared of being to rough with them at this stage, on account they are only like 2 months new and they set me back like R5k! There's a guy on my side that does mag repairs and now he can add bead locks to the stock wheels and high polish them at the same time. Will find out what it costs and see if it's worth it!
