  1. PM's sent to above three and everyone else so far that has wrote. The pipes I have decided not to sell till after I have tried them with the new motor. If I want a different powerband I will then sell them. Sorry. Items I am in need of are, 4 mil long rod crank, pro desighn head or one that will take pro desighn domes, and bigger carbs. If you have any one of these items and are willing to deal on trades or trades +/- some $$ ......shoot me an offer and we'll see if we can work something out.
  2. Have any of you guys tried the new Mother's powerball? I have heard some really good things about it. I guess it is basicaly the same as the Flitz system and about the same cost. I did find however that you can get them for alot less than I have seen online at Autozone. I havent bought it yet but I might here in the next few days. I was thinking this might work realy well for polishing up exaust ports too.
  3. Wanted to update that Odaen came through and did indeed pay for the new pistons. NO QUESTIONS OR ARGUEMENTS!! If more people in this world were as honest as him, we would all lead a much better life. THANKS BRUCE!!
  4. I have the following items for sale off of my 2002 Banshee. All Items are in excellent condition. I will take Paypal, Credit Cards, or cahiers check/money orders only. Stock Cylinders, not bored or ported, in superb condition! (if wanted I will incude stock pistons in perfect condition as well. I will also have the cylinders honed for the cost of labor if desired) Stock Crank, same thing, in superb condition.* Stock Head, excellent condition, no pitting at all. This head could be possibly milled .030". The guy I bought the quad from said it was but he is an ass hat so who know's? If someone can give me measurements to take, I could measure it and see. ^^^^ above items for sale seperatly or together. If bought together I will do all three for $350.00 shipped to anywhere in continental U.S.A.. Stock Swingarm great condition.* Stock carbs with TORS. Possibly, I havent decided for sure yet on these. FMF Fatty Gold's, Chrome. Has some scuffs on em where my daughters shoes metled on them but could be buffed off easily. I have the FMF power core 4's for these as well. I will sale the whole set, pipes or silencers, or trade for a midrange type pipe in simular condition. * these items still on bike and wont be removed till sold.
  5. dogboy, Sounds like your on the right path. Sounds like your wife is in the right frame of mind to. I say take it slow and really get to the roots of the problems. Alot of times people are scared to say what they feel only to find out the other person is feeling the same to. It finally comes out in the open and they find out that both parties desired the same thing. A hug and a kiss and a true heart felt "I love you" is all they wanted to hear alot of the times or simply spend an extra half hour with each other just visiting like you used to when you just met instead of infront of the TV. Little stuff like that often can make all the difference in the world. I wish you and the MRs. the best of luck!!
  6. I think what he is getting at is that the intake provides more torque through the powerband. If you have more torque on the topend, your going to feel it. I have been looking at this set-up on Ebay a few times. I like the looks of it better than the trinity. Reason being, the longer intake runners should act like a velocity stack.
  7. The video is posted in the videos section. It kicks ass!!
  8. wouldnt the buyer still have to come up with the money tho?
  9. Also interested in the Lectrons. Send email to dfunds650@msn.com PLEASE Are these setup to run Alch or gas? Do you know if they are 38 or 40mm?
  10. Basically methanol is the same thing as alcohol. When your using the methanol from the rigs you need to filter it before putting it into your quad. Other than that it's good to go. You need to make sure your machine is ready for it to. You need to drain your tank, lines, and carbs after riding each day unless you have the propper fuel lines, gaskets, ect that are alch/meth safe. It will eat anything up that is standerd rubber if left in contact with it for extended times. Once all is drained it's best to purge your system with gas for a rinse. With a 2-smoke I am not sure if you need to run a top lube in addition to the 2-stroke oil mix or not. Probably wouldnt be too hard to figure out. Also you have to guard Methanol like a hawk. Meaning it is a complete magnet for moisture so you need to make sure it is completely sealed from the elements while it is stored. Thats another reason to drain it out. It will draw in moisture from the breather hoses and stuff. The big power gains come from burning twice the amount of fuel. It is also high octane so it works awesome on higher compressions. It wont do you much if any good to mix Meth with gas. The gas your running probably already has a small amount of methanol in it as it is. Methanol will offer zero gains to use it like NOS. Not the same thing at all. Methanol/Alch is also a major pain in the ass to try and get it to run with NOS as well.
  11. I watched a quad burn to the ground for that reason. My first thought was the floats in one of or both or you bowls might be sticking. I had the same syptoms on another quad that were the same and thats what it was.
  12. Thanks Ducman, I can tell, this carb thing is gunna drive me insane. The more I think about it the more the larger carbs seem to make since to use. They can flow more air than the smaller carbs can. Gunna be a bit more tricky to get jetted as it will be using smaller jets than what most people would use. They should deffinatly help maintain HP at the high elevations. I like the sounds that I have read alot on here that the single carb setup produces a much better bottom end. Thats what I am after. I am thinking about finding a Trinity setup without the carb and then getting a large Lectron, like maybe 44mm. The 44 is very common in the DS650 world so I know I can find one for a decent price. Then mod the intake to fit the 44mm. OR I could find some bigger than stock carbs like the 34's or whatever and still do the dial-a-jet. The way it would work is I would basically jet the carb to run at highest alt.. Then I would use the D.A.J. to add additional fuel as I drop in Alt.. D.A.J. also claims that they add more fuel instantly for a stronger holeshot in racing. It actually kinda works the same way as the Boondocker Nitrous does. They also claim to eliminate dead spots throughout the powerband that you will see from moving from one circut to the next. Makes since to me. I dunno but I will get it figured out one way or another.
  13. I agree with this real and mature response. The pills cant cover your whow's from marital problems. It does sound like that you have had depression tendencies before though and YES depression can ruin marrieges and even lives. This is no laughing matter. I was on "happy pills" for a little over a year as i was going through hell in my life and it all took me down HARD. But then when things started to get better, the pills didnt seem to work the right way. I soon felt as if I had no emotions, I was just there. Couldnt feel really happy either, just flat across the board. I got off of em the right way and havent used them since and feel very good. I will say without a doubt the pills saved me. I was under so much stress that I would go into axiety attacks and would feel like I was in shock or even having a heart attack. Scary as hell. If I would have kept that up, I dont know what would of happend to me. I suggest working together with your wife on your problems with some good counceling. It isnt going to hurt to talk to your doctor and get you something to help your nerves and emotions. By being in control it will help with you fixing your marriege and yes your wife needs to do the same, her pills are not working right and before she goes switching I recommend getting a second opinion form a specialist. Some doctors will just throw drugs at you hoping for the best. __________________ As for the smart guys on here, sometimes people need these drugs for more reasons than just being depressed. Someone that has experienced severe head trauma will most likely never be the same. This is the case with my Dad. I would give anything to have my Dad that I had five years ago before his car crash. He really struggles in life now as he has severe depression from brain trauma. It's no laughing matter. I do agree though, too many people are on them for no reason.
  14. Not gunna happen, dont have the $$ to sink into a 4 stroke so I have to make this quad work.
  15. I talked with Packard racing today about the lectron carbs. I have been thinking on the Lectrons for thier ease in jetting for altitude. Like I have said, I can go from 5000 ft to 11,000 feet in the same ride within an hours time here in Wyoming. This is a major pain in the a$$ on the stock carbs so I have been looking for alternatives. He suggested going with the 36mm Lectrons. I was shocked that he would suggest such a big carb. I will have a 4-mil stroker with Redline racing dune porting, FMF fatty pipes, cool head, +4-7(he also recomended the +7) timing advance, and lightend flywheel. I got thinking, would the larger carbs help flow more of this thin air? Maybe making the quad less finicky to altitude? I also considerd having Jeff at FAST bore my stock carbs and then run the dial-a-jets in them. How do you think would work Jeff (reminder, I am the guy from Wyoming that goes to St. A's)? The biggy is DAMN those lectrons are spendy, $540 is alot of dough!!
  16. Now thats cool. I might just have to look into that!!
  17. As I posted in "for Sale" topic: I have had dealings with a couple of guys on here and feel that props are due to them. First off Odaen, I seen he has a few other items up for sale and if I needed em I would be all over them. WHY? Because he stands behind what he sells. I bought his cylinders, pistons, and domes off of him that were on his 4mil stroker motor. The motor wasnt taken apart yet when the transaction was completed. Once apart we found that the pistons werent in as good of shape as we thought they would be. To make things right he stepped up and basically paid for me to get new ones. CANT BEAT THAT I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE!!! Bruce your a good man and look forward to getting this new monster up and running. Second 68Charger, Now I know he is in a tussel with another person on here over a transaction. This was my experience. I bought a swingarm from him. My funds were in different accounts than the ones I needed to use. It took me almost a week to get the funds all shuffled around to work how I needed them to. He was patient and trusting. I got the money to him and he imediatly sent it out. Swingarm was perfect and well worth the $$$ I spent for it. I think he was honest to the fullest extent. thanks Brad
  18. Right on, it takes a man to admit he messed up. Your alright in my book. Hey you might want to let your friend know he is wrong on the 180 day thing. It is 60 days. Here is the excerpt right off of the B&C website: Official measurements cannot be taken until the antlers, horns, skulls or tusks have air dried at normal room temperature for least 60 days after the animal was killed. If the trophy has been frozen prior to cleaning, as is often the case with skulls, the 60-day drying period begins once the cleaning process is complete. The drying process for trophies that have been boiled or freeze-dried starts the day they are removed from the boiling pot or freeze-drier, respectively. In the case of picked up trophies, the 60-day drying period also applies. If it is clear from the condition of the antlers, horns, skulls or tusks that the trophy has dried for more than 60 days, one does not have to wait another 60 days from when it was found to measure it. However, it is necessary to enter the approximate date the animal died on the line provided for the date of kill on the score chart. Trophy owners may be asked to provide a brief history for
  19. All of the above, thats a great start. Get your flywheel lightened while you have your stator off.
  20. Thats what I was looking for! Thanks C.E.J.!! sounds a bit riskier than I want to get. Like the idea of not having to use the clutch lever though, much faster.
  21. Thats a fantastic buck, a true trophy, but I hate to break it to you, it is a long ways from being 3" short of the record. Especially in ID. Maybe 3" short of it making the book. It takes a score of 180 to make the awards book. Basicaly a honerable mention book. To get into the all time book it takes a score of 190. That is after they have dried 90 days none the less. When I first looked at the pic I guessed it to be in the 170 range. I may be wrong on my guess but I doubt it. Sorry, not trying to be an ass but I will call BS when I see it.
  22. I would appreciate if anyone on here would enlighten me on what exactly an override tranny/clutch whatever it is, and how it works. Thanks.
  23. What is the typical cost to have your cylinders bored? I found a really good deal on a set of 795 pistons for my stroker motor but they are 64.5mm so I know I would have to have my cylinders bored. How big of a bore can you go before you have to resleeve the cylinders?
  24. DAMN, I wish that was my Shee! Now I have a quad to look up to when I do mine all up this winter.
