What are they and how do they work? I was also told to look into a billet basket. Dont mean to sound stupid but not sure what that is either?

What compression is everyone running?

85 lbs, .30 milled stock head @ 6500 ft. LMAO YES it sucks to start it! -
Well guys the transaction is DONE. Bought Odaens set-up. Got dune/play ported cylinders by Redline, 795 pistons and rings, and 3 pairs of domes milled for the 4 mil stroker. I am pumped about this other than having to explain later why I will need another $450 to buy a crank to the wife but hey its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission right!! I already have FMF Fatty gold's. Odaen was running it on the stock carbs with excellent results so I am going to try that first. Already have the filters for them. I have the boysen reeds in it now but if I am not happy with the peformance I will get a set of the V-force 3's. I will get the timing plate and the flywheel done before i put her back together. What springs do you suggest? Are they necessary or only if you need em? Is a +4 swinger going to be nough for this motor? I weigh 270 so I am thinking it will. Wallrat, love the avatar bur it sure is distracting!

What is a h129 crank and where do you get one? I made Odean a offer last night on his stuff and just waiting to hear back.

PM me with the "hell of a deal" price. I am in Evanston so I could pick it up or something when you get it in your hands.

I am thinking of getting Odeans 4 mil setup. I would still have to get a crank either done or find one somebody wants to sell. Also would need to get a coolhead to go with the domes he has. So I know all together I would be in it probably 1K. Kinda seams like for that kind of money I could do a cub but then realised that is just for the cylinders. I would still need everything else. Thing is I want a reliable motor and would like to know if there is constant issues with a 4 mil or not? I beleive in doing things right so I wont be half a$$'n it on the install or anything. So what suggestions and experiences do you all have with them? A few other quick questions: What would a set of perfect stock cylinders and a .30 shaved stock head sell for approx? Just wondering so I can see the total financial picture. Would you still do a timing plate for the stroker as well as lightening the flywheel? Just dont want to be when this is all said and done.

Are the plastics cut on it?

Nirous can be done on a 2stroker, but you better know what your doing. You should run a good race fuel, in the 110 or higher octane range. Some dont but you get the best results with it. I would go with a little extra oil in the gas as well, it wont hurt anything and keep things lubed up a bit better with the higher heat your engines components will see. The easiest system to do is the Boondockers dry system. You will get more power though out of a wet system but much harder to setup and more expensive. Best thing to do is just start reading anything and everything you can about nitrous and then take it from there. Dont go into it blind. Ohhh and it is 100X harder to get to run right with methanol. Remember, Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD, you know you want to hit it, but your afraid of the consequences (and for good reason)!! Like said, Nitro is a whole nother animal in itself. You probably dont want to go there.

I am in interested in the swingarm and the paddles as well. P.M. me with an asking price and details on the paddles would be nice. Thanks. IF you can send a pic of the swingarm to [email protected] if you have some, I would appreciate it. -

Ok Thanks, I appreciate your help. One more question. how much does a cool head actually keep the motor cooler over a stock shaved head? -

So then maybe mix a few cans with 100 or 104 octane race gas 50/50 with premium and would be good to go? -

I am very familiur with the Boondaocker setup. Quite a few of my friends run them on there DS's and YFZ's. That is the system I will run. I previously had a NOS setup on my DS and it ripped with no problems but I think with the twin cylinder, the boon would be easier by far. Besides that, Idaho Falls isnt all that far from me, being here in Evanston WY. My buddy has a Shee and his flywheel is done and man I love the way that thing feels, very smooth powerband. His was done by K&T in Layton UT. So what carb is the bomb when you go to a 2 into 1 carb setup? Like the idea of the lectrons powervalve. -
I am looking to redo my new to me Shee this winter. As of right now I have the Bosen reeds, FMF fatty golds and Powercore silencers, Head milled .030" (supposedly, but I think so), and carb mount Uni filters. The quad has good power but I would like a smoother more grunty power. I ride trails 90% of the time and it isnt racing trails, were talking some rather rough stuff. Doing this I need a smooth powerband that has some gusto down low. Right now the STRONG pipe hit could be quite dangerous. So I am thinking a good trail porting job, reed spacers, lightend flywheel for smoother faster rev up, 4 deg timing plate, cool head with mild domes to run premium, new pistons and rings, and maybe the 2 into 1 carb setup with a dial-a-jet kit. I ride mostly at 7000ft, but can go from 4000 to 10,000 ft on a single ride so ease of jetting is a real concern and needs to be something i can do in a decent amount of time, like 10 minutes or so. I have went to the 13th front sprocket and think I will try a 12 and 11 as well. I am also going to get either a +2 sswingarm or the extender. This is for the hills we climb, the loss in cornering is of ZERO concern to me. Like I said these are not racing trails. I do still want to be able to switch out the tires and go tear up the dunes too. For the dunes I am thinking of a boondocker NOS setup for when I really want to go fast. So what do you guys think? I was thinking of contacting F.A.S.T. guy on here. Who else is good to deal with? I like having a few options. He who treats me with respect and listens to what i want and spend some time to help me figure out the best setup, I will work with and it will pay off for them to do so as I am the first person to say when someone treats me good and follows thru with it.

Are you still selling the plastics? Are those the purple ones you quoted earlier? If so I might be interested. Also would be interested in your nerfs. Let me know.
-
Sounds good to me. Like I said because of my back I dont do alot of air time or anyting and overall comfort with good handeling is on the top of my list. The nonadjustable stock shocks dont cut it for me. My ride is actually pretty good, but I could feel them fading on me this past weekend.

Do you still have the nerf bars?? -
Howdy all!! first post here. Deffinatly not new to the sport but new to the Shee world. I have been reading and hearing about this mod and the YFZ brakes as well. I am interested in doing both. My question on these shocks though is this. What is the ride quality like? I have been told the YFZ rides super stiff, Thats not what I want at all. So just curious if that is just the way the factory sets them up or if you want you can soften them up for more plush ride.? Stiff shocks on the dunes suck, It rattles your teeth out when riding. I also do alot of trail riding in rocky terrain. Stiff shocks would have me at the chiropracter's office in NO time! Looks easy to install, but I want to know the advantages and disadvantages ride wise. Thank you and looking forward to getting to know all of you.
