  1. I read that the PS3 is going to be 32x more powerful than the current PS2 and 10x more powerful than the X360. Like 1.6i said though, I havent bought a game in 3 years, so what do I care. No time for playing games with a family, work, and quads.
  2. Do the nerfs make it hard to shift? Also are the foot pegs on these bigger than the stock pegs? Reason I ask is I have size 14 feet and the stockers feel like I am standing on a twig. I am also concerned there wont be room between my shifter and the nerfs for my foot. I do run my shifter one spline higher than stock position already tho.
  3. Is the crank a 4mil long rod stroker crank? If so would you sell it seperatly?
  4. I wish it would work for my stuff, I need a 4 mil though. What would it take to get mine from a +4 to a +7? I already have three sets of domes for a +4 and the cyls have been ported and timed for a +4.
  5. I have no comment on the dealings with Fast but I will say this. I bought the +4 swingarm from Brad aka 68Charger. He was patient with me as I moved my funds from one acount to the next and finally got the money to him as I promised. He shipped it right out and I recieved it today. I would have zero holdback in doing business with Brad. I feel as well the swingarm was a great bargan and is in excellent shape as well. THANKS BRAD!!
  6. I should add, I will also sale any of these parts seperatly if your interested in any of them. Make me an offer.
  7. Thanks for the reply's guy's. I wondered about polishing the intake as I did experiments with my DS on polishing the intake side of things. It seamed to increase the top end some but the bottom end torque went to crap. I seen a show once on how sharks swim so fast. They have a surface on their skin simular to that of an orange peel. This caused actually less contact with the water as they would swim at high speeds. I know some Nascar teams have played with and do use a orange peel finish on thier cars for less drag. This increased thier speed and fuel economy. I think the same would apply to motors as were my results. I will have to grab the cyl's off the shelf and take a closer look at the exaust side and if they were not already done, they will be! Any suggestions on a procedure to polish em up? I dont have access to the tools I had when I did my DS.
  8. I am looking to see if anyone would be willing to trade me for my stock cylinders in excellent shape, stock head (possibly shaved .030" over), stock crank, and a stock swingarm for a 4 mil long rod stroker crank? I will consider any real offers, jokers need not bother me!!!! I am also looking for a cool head. Already have the domes for the stroker that are for the Pro Desighn head.
  9. Just wondering when you see ported, and then you see ported and polished. What is the difference? I mean duh i know what polishing is but is it like polished to a mirror smooth finish? Or is it just a nice smooth finish? How much gain is there between the two options and what is polished if you have the polish done? Just curious as I have my new ported cylinders sitting here and all winter to polish em up if it is worth it.
  10. ATLEAST!!!!!! Welcome to the 4m. The guys here have been really good to me so far.
  11. You must not have gotten my P.M. a while back. I am in Evanston.
  12. I have been looking into this as well. Looking in the UT area tho. Found one place that will do it but has to be sandblasted first. A buddy of mine is getting his done so were talking about going in together and buying a sandblaster. If we do this, I will let ya know. If we get three of us bringing our stuff in all at once, we might get a better deal. I will keep ya in the loop as I find out more if ya want.
  13. I got my stuff in the other day from Odaen. They were ported cylinders by Redline Racing, 795 pistons for 4mil stroker, and 3 sets of domes. Everything looked pretty good. One cylinder had a few wear streaks in it so I will go ahead and do a freshening hone on them both with new rings for the pistons. Thats where I am not sure what to do. The pistons were in a little rougher shape than he thought they would be when he pulled it apart. They have some good scratches on the sides of them in a few spots. Not to the point that they looked ruined tho. Kindo looked like I could take a 3M scotchbrite pad on my die grinder and carefully polish them out. being careful not to overheat or take out too much material. The scratches aslo make the bottom ring tight in the grooves. But I think one cleaned up they will move freely, unless thats how they are on a Shee. So my question is, Is it bad to refinish the pistions and use them again? Or should I just get new pistons? If I do get new, do they have to be modified to work with the porting? Being newer to the 2-smoke world, not as sure what the pistons should look like used. If this was a fourstroke piston, I wouldn't hesitate to clean it up and put it back in. I want to add, Bruce (Odaen) is standing behind what he sold me and if it is determined I should get new pistons, he is going to go halves on the cost with me. THATS AWESOME!!
  14. I forgot to add, definatly do the pipe for it and if you can do any porting, like just some cleanup a bit. Makes a huge difference on those 400's. I also recomend calling and tlaking to a few of the Polaris mod shops and check what spring combo your running in your tranny. That will also help it a bunch. None of this is to make her a power house quad, but will give her the power to get out of situations she might find herself in on the dunes.
  15. Right on! You got the perfect quad for her. My wife has a 96' Polaris Express 300 that we got for $1700 that is no kidding in show room condition. Took her out on it a few weeks ago to the dunes and she really liked it. Easy for her to handle, easy on the backside, she loves it!
  16. HMMM this is new compared to what I had been told. Been told by several builders, yes even the ones on here to go with spacers. They ALL said that it will smooth out the powerband so its not as peeky? Sounds of it, they are full of it eh?
  17. Having the same problem right now. I found a number of things on my quad. Now remember this was as it came from the guy I traded for it. The stock carbs' slides were switched so they were not working right. He had the the idle screw on one side all the way in and on the other side all the way out. It was missing the balancing tube between the 2 carbs. Yep it ran like shiz. Forget even trying to start it cold with kicking it. Fixed all that and it is much better but still wouldnt start. 80lbs of compression will do that though. Check your compression, it's an easy check.
  18. Congradulations! Nothing like being a daddy.
  19. LMAO, You guys are rough!! I gotta stay on there good side (the inlaws). They hook me up with a enclosed trailer anytime I want, A full heated shop to work on stuff, ect. So I figure making my machine non-earspliting when I am with them, it's the least I can do LOL. My father-in-law though is just chomping at the bit though to take the Shee out and open her up. They are way way cool people, I got lucky.
  20. I will only be running it when I am rideing with my family. I am usually in the lead and just feel bad about all the elders of the family having to listen to the obnoxious noise that this thing makes. They are put putters and ride to see the scenery and enjoy the outdoors. It is mostly just out of respect for them. Any other time and it will be normal open silencers.
  21. I fuggin hate cats and that is just flat cruel!! I hope someone firgures out who this person is someday and gives him a couple of Beavis shots to the nards!!
  22. MAN!!! Being someone that likes things done right, I can see this thing is going to cost me a small fortune!! With going to the 4mil long rod and if I decide on doing the NOS, I bet I will need one of these eventually. The next things on the list first though is a cool head and I have decided on the single carb set-up as well for the bottom end torque I am after. Back to the subject......So do these make the clutch handle alot harder to pull? Might have to go to hydrolic clutch if thats the case, I have messed up tendons in my hands.
  23. Does anyone know if the Toomy silencers will work with FMF fatty headpipes? I want to be able to use the Toomey 2.5 hush kit but dont want the t-5's due to them being a top end pipe and I want a lower to mid pipe as much as possible.
  24. Man you got that right!! I bought a 96 Polaris Expres 2-smoke 300 for my wife that is more cherry than some new quads off the floor I have seen and I got my 02 Banshee for less than HALF of what i paid for my DS when it was new in 2001. I will have my Shee done and her quad, and a trailer to haul them in for less than what I gave for the stock DS. Yet alone after I finished modding the DS and My Shee when its done would SMOKE my DS
  25. LICK EM!! I did a search and didnt find the info I was looking for. I am not a newby to the forum world,I am a 30 year old seasoned duner that is just new to the banshee world because I rode a DS650 and a 400EX before that. I fuggin hate it when smart asses like yourself tell people to do a search. Parts change, people's opinions of the parts change, ect. So a little redundancy doesnt hurt anyone. Go Fugg a goat and leave the banshee talk to those on here that are gentleman enough to answere my question. Thanks for the replies guys!! Cept yours BBB
