i shipped my tranny out to have repaired cause of one on the dogs broke off a gear.greg went ahead and replaced couple of the other gears just cause he wanted it to be like there new still dunables and never charged me a penny more.also he throw me to new shifter forks and a set of heavier springs for them.they did this all in a week and half and had it back to me.my hats off to greg and his wife.also thanx to jeff at F.A.S.T for helping out
  5. not sure what kind of riding you do but kevin's dune port is really nice.you can save your money by just having him cut your stock head.might be a good idea to have a fresh top end if its 7 yrs old.thats pretty much going to take up the 500 i believe.later on think of a adjustable timing plate and carbs but not a must if your not dragging it.
  6. i'd say sell your drag cylinders you have now and get you a set of unported stocker.get them drag ported for a 4mil,don't run the nos, just put it on alky.have your stock head cut for the 4mil so you don't have to run the spacer plate.kevin did my motor last yr and to look at it minus the carbs it looked bone stock but made about 90 hp
  7. porting alone you will tell a big difference.main sounds good but don't think you will need that big of a pilot.
  8. tedd are you having a cub done by kevin?
  9. to me it sounds like a air leak or some kind of lean condition
  10. stock pilots,340 mains and needle in 3rd or 4th clip.that would be safe but kev could probly get you closer
  11. if you want to lean the needle then move the clip up one on the needle
  12. not sure what the dirt tracks are like there but on our dirt tracks out here ohtsu radial tires seem to work well for everybody.its a honda tire.here is a pic of one http://www.ronniesmailorder.com/eshopprod_..._OHTSU_TIRE.htm also turf tammers with rows cut out work good
  13. i leave in first gear but run a 18 tooth front sprocket.if had the money to put into a billet second i would change my setup to leave in second gear.but like dave said there is alot of different things that decides what gear to leave in
  14. thanx dave.
  15. do you put anything on the studs before screwing them in the cub cylinder?
  16. 3/4 OD with .058 thick for the bottom bars and 7/8 OD with .058 thick top bar.if your are running a shock on the back you are going to have to mount everything to the swingarm i believe
  17. i'd say save your money on a cool head and carbs for now and put it into a port joband just have the stock head cut.what kind of riding you do?carbs can come later.
  18. does any one have hotrods number?
  19. also make sure the choke tube between the carbs is hooked up and in the right spot
  20. the o ring the the outter bearing is broke in half.why is that put on there and if i need it where can i get another?
  21. forgot to add its a dunable overide and also the 2 shifter forks for that tranny shaft had some pretty nasty grooves in them. so i put 2 new ones of them into today
  22. not sure.its the 6th gear on the secondary shaft(one with sprocket on) and the ears slide into 2nd gear on that shaft
  23. i tore my cases apart today before assembling the cub and found that one of my gears that wcr cut for the override is broke off and was laying in the bottom of the case.i see where it come from and the weird thing is it looks like 6th gear, looking at my clymer book.its a 1-5 nuetral down.what is 6th gear used for?
  24. is the round house carrier with bearings?if so is it for a stock axle?
