  1. spend the money and get a slingshot that goes under your stock clutch cover
  2. do a search but i did the samething and came up with kevin herr at herrjugsracing.com.prices are great and costumer service is one of the best.let alone his motor kick ass.there is a good many of guys on here that are running his motors, including me.
  3. i'd say the leak down test is a must.just might be getting some air around the intake bots or something.also tear the carb apart that is on the side the piston is burning up.you might just have a main jet that has a little peice of dirt or sand in it. if you take it too kev i'm sure he will fix you up
  4. i did my own. not to bad to do
  5. if you get where you might part the motor out let me know.have a friend thats going to a 4mil and is looking for one
  6. i run it in my cub with alky and gas never had a problem.
  7. here is what i used and i think it would be safe if your jumping as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_ATV-Parts-...6.c0.m245.l1318
  8. i don't think a +2 is going to do much but worth a try.i would at least go +4
  9. if i remember right i believe i told you that you would need a swingarm next.lol.not sure how much traction you will have in the coal but ryan has a +6 on his and it seems to work pretty well with pretty much the same motor you got.
  10. yeah i should probly not say this but i have always had good luck with all the motors that i have had.but have had friends that has all kinds of problems.if i can give a hand to help a fellow banshee owner out i am all for it.these things a simple machines but sometimes will drive you crazy.when they are running like they suppose too, they are hard to beat.
  11. its funny how just a couple little things wrong will make that big of a difference.tony i was just happy that you left here with a smile, which you should have cause the shee runs damn well now.
  12. tony found that air leak and fixed that before he came to my house.it ran ok but just not right.i then checked somethings and found the pickup gap was way off and bumped the timming up.also we chaged the jets and gaped the plugs alittle different.it plan out rips now.he was very happy
  13. glad to here your pleased with it now.
  14. needless to say tony left here with one fast ass banshee today.i think he is not even thinking about selling it now.
  15. thanx kev.if he doesn't get it going today we will do our best tomorrow.
  16. i am going to do whatever it takes to get this thing right for you ,so you can sleep at night.lol.see you sat.
  17. i am running one and seems to hook alot harder on the harder tracks
  18. he is in cali but worth shipping them to him
  19. lol. i think they would work fine
  20. you should have alot more compression then what your coming out with.make sure the threads on the part that screws into the head is long enough to go the whole way down flush with the top part of the dome.the threads should pretty much be the same things as your spark plugs threads.i have made the same mistake on compression testers and read alot less then it really was
  21. you can pick a clutch up off of kev thats where mine came from i have now or you can get one of jeff's clutch's.as for what to espect well just hold on.hope you have a good set of rear tires so you can feel the power
  22. no offense utley but i would just have kev do you a motor jerod and go with a dune port.they are very dependable and you will have everything fresh.for the type of riding you do it would fit you best.plus to sell you stock cylinders your not going to get hardly anything for them.for the clutch i would run one of jeff's clutch's from F.A.S.T.and you can have your shifter star turned down.you could save some money and do that yourself.the stock carbs would work fine but could gain a couple more hp with some bigger ones.you will be very happy!
  23. not 100% sure but i think vito's made a piston that had a groove cut in the top of the piston.think i have read about them before
  24. i wouldn't think you would need smaller then a 42.did you try turning the a/f screw to richen it up or maybe just pull the slids up alittle
  25. you might want to ask around but i don't believe you can get 16cc out of a stock head.so go with the aftermarket domes for a cool or noss head
