  1. I have quicksands a-arms--will be getting a swing arm when the $$ comes in. Everything he has made for me and friends has been superb. Check out there website.
  2. I am with redline--always a ground issue with mine also. If they are the square ones made i think by peterson it seems like i have to replace the whole assembly every year or so. Our boat trailer lights was a real pain till i got some at pep boys that were of good quality--have not touched a light in 6 years--rectangle submergable ones--they are going on my quad trailer next time i have a problem
  3. I up'd the size pilot jet one size (48) and that did it--5kicks cold and shee started. I will have to remember this next year if i switch pilots.I have always run a 175 in summer and 178 main in winter months with no problems for 4 years now. My bike doesnt fairwell to bigger mains.I will keep an eye on the compression-maybe tester is off a little i have? Thanks for all your replys--
  4. Thanks for all the replys--I will try a bigger pilot jet tommorow. I remember putting in a smaller pilot jet 2 years ago in the spring but have never really ridden it in the winter since then(was down all last winter). I did up the main jet one size just to be on the safe side when it got to about 40 degrees or lower. Sucks having your 4 stroke buddies saying does your foot hurt yet-----I think i am going to disconnect their batteries next time before we ride thanks again
  5. REbuilt top end last year and had 160 psi in both cylinders. Now i have 145 in left and 150 on the right. Is that the cause of hard to start when cold(20 kicks). Is that a big enough drop in compression to put new rings in it. 19cc domes, v-force reeds, single carb at 200-500 above sea level. Once started the shee runs great. Just curious if its ring time?? Thanks
  6. I have a single carb and do the same type of riding in MI--I have never had 2 carbs but many friends have switched to single carb after taking a spin on mine. Try it and I bet you will not regret getting a single carb.
  7. I pay 150/yr for the shee and 119 for my polaris through state farm--500 deductable
  8. ahh--lost my voice all for a bears lost
  9. I dont know if that will work but i have some fmf silencers (power core 2s) if you need them.
  10. Most likely staying at sierra sands again--will put up a post in march.
  11. I have almost the same mods(no air box) and run 178 main and 48 or 52 pilot?? Seems like everyones jetting is somewhat different. One buddy has a 168 and others in the 190s. start rich and work your way down.
  12. when i bought my bike my fattys had shorter springs from a parts store than the long skinny fmf ones. i tried the fmf springs and seals would always leak. I put the shorter ones on and keep fmf ones as extras in tool box.
  13. i will be going to the dun-bar goodman trials this year---have a place in pembine wisconson. I usually fish but am bringiing the shee with this year. See if you can get anyone to take the ferry across the lake to michigan for trails and dunes. Met qquite a few people at dunes from wis that did that but is $$$$.
  14. will be there for sure--stayed at sierra sands last year on opening weekend
  15. buddy got it from rmatv dep pipes hi performance doorbell. IT has 3 different sounds-2 stroke(125 dirt bike sound),4stroke(craptor), or chime(annoying sound you hear when you go in and out of a store sound). Sound box thing goes in the middle of house and wireless button goes outside. both run off batteries. Pretty cool hearing a dirt bike sound when someone is at the front door. Girl friend doesnt think so. I would have never bought it but it was a pretty good gift idea. Anybody else get some off the wall gifts
  16. Seen your add in the paper the other day i believe. Call the trader (find it at gas stations) and have them take a picture and it will sell. cost me 40 bucks i think for a 4-6 six week pictur e add. HAd about 15 calls the first week on a 400ex and sold two weeks later. Good luck

    fmf silencers

I also have a set of power core 2s. Let me know if interested. Thanks
  18. I have a pep stabalizer and it works pretty good--never tried any others though. Mine has 3 holes for a bolt to go through for asjustment. i no longer get arm pump when flyin thru rough dunes anymore(a arms and shocks helped also
  19. I went to uti five years ago for hvac(heating and ac) only 10 months in illinois. It was a good school i thought. When i was there they griped alot about being on time and no sick days. I think it was 9 hours or 3 or 4 tardies and you would rephase that class over in a 3 week period. Just have good work ethic and you will be fine.
  20. My buddy and i will only be there on sunday and maybe monday(see how riding is). 3 other buddies will be there on saturday and sunday. We'll be in a white 03 f-150 black and red shee
  21. My quad came with a single carb and love it. For your type of riding it will definately help. Some of my friends think i have a woods port because of how early the power starts. If your riding trails alot(mud and water) i wouldn't recommend striaght on clamp kn due to fact it doesn't like water. It sucks going around every puddle
  22. thanks for the reply--maybe see you there--sounds like we will be camping
  23. some friends will be there sat-sun----i will be there sun and mon for sure-----as of now total of 5 guys--i am sure that it will change at least fifty times though. i have never been there before but heard its like the badlands. Is the drag strip open there all the time as well as the tracks???? hope to see some of you there.
  24. Going there this weekend and was wondering hows riding and is there any places to stay at in area--as well as good watering holes
  25. i have a 98 400l sport(besides a banshee)--same as a scambler----its great for my girlfriend who never rode a quad before and my dad. Had it for four years and only had two problems--chain snapped and starter went.
