  1. You still have the front hubs/rotors & spindles? I cant see the pics, what color are they?
  2. If it smells like heavy gas and premix, you need to check the syncronzation on your carbs and check the reeds and make sure you are getting ignition on that cylinder before you go off tring to replace a crank seal. But first, check bewteen the carbs and see if the choke crossover tube is in place between them.
  3. Which side is heavily smoking? What does the smoke smell like? Does it smell like heavy premix (gas/premix oil)? Does it smell like oil burning, like a car burning a lot of oil? Or does it smell sweet, like antifreeze. Check the level of oil in your tranny, and check the level of coolant in the radiator.

  5. Break it in on whatever timing you plan on running with the engine. Its seating your rings upon break in that you want to be careful.

  12. Didnt you say you had 180psi compression on a dune port, in another thread? As far as I know, the length of stroke has no bearing on timing. Assuming that you are running race gas, set it at +5. :beer: Edit: you will be moving your stator from your stocker over to the new unit. Dont forget to set the pickup gap to .020. I believe thats it. :thumbsup:

  14. I had cpis on mine before i started molesting it with my tools and fmf fattys before that. It ran a lot better, all throughout the rpms better than the fattys.

  20. Yeppers. Mine has gotten sand and grit in it so I have to replace it. It doesnt appear that you can get it out without destroying it.
  21. I'm going to tackle mine this weekend. Been kinda wondering this myself. Ya cant really pry it out with a screwdriver either. I'm guessing its gonna take a really steady hand and a dremel. :teehee:

  23. Yes. You need to strip all the seals off your cover. Push the impeller bearing and seal out with a socket. And do the same with the vent nipple on the bottom. And you can gently pry the kickstarter seal out with a screwdriver or something. :beer:
