  1. I think you had better be looking at getting your cylinders ported. IMO a good, (3) mod 700 will give a stock ported, piped banshee fits all day. You get it ported and that 700 wont stand a chance, unless he's got a bit more done to it than the typical exhaust, power commander and intake.
  2. It sounds to me like you are golden then. Just keep an eye on it periodically.
  3. I thought it was a 3.75 and a 3.76. hehe Hey, some guys on ps are saying the lighting system was screwed up and a lot of folks were running crazy times. dave, do you think those times are still legit? Im not tring to start anything, just asking a question. from reading, those guys are running cougars, dm's, tripples.......I guess what im tring to say is, and pardon my english, they arent fucking around!
  4. At least the cooler survived.
  5. I've tried to look at that website and cannot see it for some ungodly reason. What designs does he have?
  6. I'd say the first part of that. From what I've seen here, looks like he tells plenty! :teehee: or he's a fat ass just like me. haha
  7. This is on your bike?
  8. i want to figure out how i can mount a tomahawk missile in my frame. i just want to have something that everytime before i launched it i could say.... "y'all watch this."
  9. I'll trade ya my blue plastics for yours so you dont have to cut yours up and paint them. lol bump for ya. fixin to send you a pm
  10. simple green, brake clean, anykind of degreazer. brake clean is the shiznit for the really bad stuff.
  11. Are you sure that its not the tranny shaft thats moving back and forth?
  12. that sure does look like travis' bike. i wonder if he ever got his new engine?
  13. You need a leakdown tester to check crank seals. You can make one by going to the parts store.
  14. you bolt em up to your foot pegs and they fasten to the cylinders with pipe springs.
  15. Or you can unwind the springs a little bit. That's what jeff does.
  16. i've been quit for 9 years now. Cold turkey. One of the best things you can do is find yourself a little hobby. something to help take your mind off of smoking. One of the things I did was teach myself to play guitar and video games. read a book, work on your banshee, jerk your gerk. Anything to take your mind off of craving the nicotine.
  17. That new frame you have doesnt really need a fender on it. I think it looks pretty awesome like it is. Well.......at least put an engine in it. LOL
  18. id put some red locktite on that flywheel nut. BTW thankyou for reminding me to do that!
  19. The whole swingarm length stuff has my mind boggled. I'm going to be looking for a wheelie bar soon. I bought travis' +8 and drag axle for the cub I'm building. I ran the arm and axle on my dune port before I retired it and I could still get the front end to come up a lot more than a foot off the ground. So im pretty sure its gonna be worse with a cub on it. You may need more than +8 or run a wheelie bar. or hell, both.
  20. congrats on your new engine. Having your carburetors in perfect syncronization is key. Is your cub ported or did you install it straight out of the box?
  21. I was told to set the adjustment to where the lever on the case pointed a little bit further to the stator side, past the arrow. Did you adjust the pull on your clutch lever?
  22. bump sounds like a heck of a deal. hadnt you just switched to running alky on this? what do you have planned for the next engine?
  23. No, the carrier, bearings and axle are just machined with tight tolerances. the inner races on the bearings have just mated themselves to the axle. its just going to be a real pain in the arse when they do go bad and you have to replace them.
  24. Unless you are going to drag race the thing, and I doubt your are since you are planning on using one carb, i'd set the timing to +5. You need to ask whomever is doing the portwork on jetting reccomendations and then fine tune from there. A really nice port job coupled with the 4mm of over stroke on race gas will definately be a really fun little motor.
  25. That would depend on what kind of fuel you are using. Do you know how much compression you have? I dont think i'd go over +4 if you running pump gas.
