good quality, aftermarket parts usually are not cheap. there are a lot of pros to getting a lockout clutch cover even if you dont have the lockout unit. main reason being able to adjust and change the clutch without having to drain the coolant and pulling the entire cover off the side of the engine.

are the carbs in sync? first off make sure they are in sync. start off, needle on middle clip, 25 (stock) pilot, 320 mains, air screws 2 turns from lightly seated. When i had fattys on my bike, i used a 340 main and it hit pretty hard. set one jetting circuit at a time. Get it idling and do a plug chop to see where you are on your mains then go from there.

all of the above. lol i wouldnt run out of frame pipes on anything other than the track or if you are racing across a a fairly smooth flat in the dunes. they are less restrictive than the inframes and as a plus, you have easier access to your engine.

i dont think i am missing anything but with the (4) banshee engines i have put together, they all have 2 (what I call, lol) regular rings on each piston. Maybe the 87 model was the only one like this of its kind?
