  1. yeh man happy birthday, thats good that you have been sober for that long and can still be around it and not let take over again. It is also good that you can talk about it and know that it was wrong and deal with it. but i have to admit i like to party, i mean i do go to college, but i by no means have a problem. Just for fun.
  2. Damn, thats really good. Who did the porting on your bike?
  3. yeh no shit, i thought he said he was going to get it done the next day!
  4. I will have to agree with dajogejr too smalll of carbs. If you know someone that will let you barrow some bigger carbs to try them out do it. I had a buddy whos bike done the same thing it would really scream and then just sign off. It had some port work with stock carbs so we changed the intakes and put my 35's on when they were on gas and it pulled all the way to the top.
  5. yeh you have to take a picture of your shee and open it up in a program like photoshop and crop it to the size you want and add anything in the background. But then what i do is upload the pic onto photobucket and then copy the IMG link in my signature, and then the pic pops up like so......
  6. well with those cylinders you shouldn't be running an air box anyways. Also what kinda carbs are you running?
  7. holy shit, thats badass post some pics of that thing. If it runs anything like the ones at my local dirt track it should really scream. They run really low 4's to high 3's in 300 ft.
  8. will the track allow you to run paddles, or will it tear them up too much? Also how is the timing at your track does it record your 60ft time and et time and mph?
  9. well that sucks man, where are you located at?
  10. yeh that is kinda slow for your mods. What kinda track was it, dirt, sand, asphalt. This makes a huge difference also the track you were running on do cars run on it as well, if so the take off will be too deep for quads. what kinda tires are you running. Mine last year on gas and stock stroke went 5.5 and my brothers is bone stock except for 4 degrees of timing 17cc domes and rockets went 5.7 a couple weeks ago.
  11. cool, glad to hear you got it running better, also on your new plugs gap them to .023
  12. well i guess that every builder does stuff a little different, i was told to get my compression between 140-150, and 7 degrees of timing, but what ever works i guess. Last year i was running 210 compression and was told that is was way too much for alky.
  13. This guy is suck and idiot. I think that we should all just not answer any more of his dumbass posts anymore and maybe he will leave and quit posting stupid shit like this! Oh and night how about you put some diesel in your banshee and tell us how it runs.
  14. well good, glad you hopefully found the problem. A business card is also a good tool to use to measure the gap if you are somewhere and a feeler guage isn't present. But anyways let us know if it fixed it.
  15. well shit, thanks guys. the only places I checked around here was Westlake hardware and Clarke Tool. but I will look them other people up online.
  16. sorry buddy I have already bought the lower end.
  17. Does anyone know of a place that sells drill bits in the thousandths. I need a .114 and a .116 thousandths bit to drill my jets out. All i can find is 7/64 which is .109 then the next size is 1/8th which is .125 too big. Any body got a suggestion?
  18. yeh i am pretty sure he has the stock style swinger.
  19. How is your bike running with the new cylinders????
  20. you probably know this but just for a little more insurance, you air gap should be 18 thousandths. (.018)
  21. like everyone else has said I don't thing you would want to waist money on the stock carbs. But yeh when I went to alky i had to run +7 timing, compression between 140-150, pingel valve and take all the stuff out of the stock tank lid and drill it out, B8ES plugs gapped at .018, they put bigger mains pilots and needles and drill out the side of your carb and put in another jet for when you are wide open. and then everytime you are done running it you have to purge it, which gets kinda annoying but in my mind well worth it!
  22. Spray paint will work fine just get it sandblasted first and make sure it is clean and put a coat or two of primer then your paint it should look ok, just not near as durable as powdercoat, Oh and 1800 for that, unless you had everything replaced in your tranny sounds to me really high, or i need to start charging more for my rebuilds.
  23. I agree, a couple years back my shee made some fireworks out one side and it wasn't too long after that it really went boom!
  24. check to make sure you aren't burning any water. My brothers shee done the same thing last year, it was just really doggy down low but once revved up alot it would pull all the way through sixth like you say. I pulled it apart and it turned out to have a very small crack and cut in the o-ring in the head.
  25. well if it is like any other four stroke i have worked on, you have to take the tensioner out because it will not release unless you manually do it then when you bolt it back on then put the spring in and tighten the bolt you will here the tensioner go back to where it was, it's like a one way thing, there is a little lock on their you have to release.
