  1. well what is your exact address and your zip code i can look it up to see just how far. I am located near Kansas City so sounds like quite a drive but just get me your address and we will go from there. Also can you get some pics of it up on here, that would be helpful and anything that you know has been done to it other than what you already told me, if there is anything. Thanks Thomas
  2. I am looking for a banshee located near missouri, I don't mind driving a little ways but nothing over probably 2-3 hours. Just let me know what you got. It needs to be newer than a 90', and in pretty fair shape but doesn't have to be perfect.
  3. I done mine by hand also and like bigboy they are far from perfect. I couldn't imagine doing stock cylinders the trex were alot easier to do, not a whole lot of small spots.
  4. I know that Jeff at FAST sells them and at a reasonable price. Great guy to deal with too!
  5. Yeah I agree they do look better, that was my first choice but I decided to go with the cheaper on at the moment. Thanks man
  6. I am a cheap ass and just simply take a couple bolts out and drain what alcohol was left in the tank back into my jug and then put the tank back on. Then poor in the gas and start it up. I have seen what you are talking about and it looks nice, but like I said I am a cheap ass on that little stuff that I don't necessarily HAVE to have.
  7. Yeah and it's like $225 or something like that, that is what I originally wanted, then I found the armadillo one at half the price!
  8. yes but you don't run the bike until it runs out of gas, that is bad on rings. Once the engine starts running on gas it will just die by itself because the jets for alcohol are soo much bigger it in a way just floods the engine. You have to drain all of the alcohol out of the tank and then put some gasonline in their, you can't just poor gasoline on top of the alky and start it.
  9. I never used to purge mine after every ride then it blew up and i pulled it apart and the crank was rusted from letting the alky set in it, but anyways now I purge my bike after every ride and have never had to change the plugs from the gasonline fouling them.
  10. Thanks man, I really like the bumper alot.
  11. Here are some
  12. I had Andy at Grand River Racing do mine. I believe their site is grandriverracing.com, but not sure. You should really listen to what everyone else is trying to tell you though. There is alot more that goes into running alky other than just dumping it in the tank and going. Your compression has to be in a certain range, you will have to spend hours jetting it, after every ride you have to purge the alky out if it is going to set more than over night. Your gonna have to buy a pingle dual fuel valve which is around $100. You can forget about trail riding unless you only like riding for a couple of minutes. Granted I have bigger carbs than you but if I get 40 minutes on a tank thats good. You are also limited to a couple of different oils. Make sure you run the right stuff, synthetics will not mix with alky. I was told to run atleast +7 degree timing, according to your sig that means you would have to buy a plate as well.which is $35. The actuall labor to get it done costs me $100. Plan on investing on more than one set of jets, and everyone on here know that jets add up quick at somewhere around $3-$5 a pop. If you plan on riding in cold weather have fun kicking it a few times, I only had problems when it got down to like 50-60 at night. My suggestion to you is to ask yourself exactly what you want to do with your shee, If you add up the costs above you could almost get a play port from Jeff @ FAST. Which would be a much better choice adn probably run better than a bone stock shee on alky. Its your decision, just thought I would chime in a little. And as for me going to alky I don't regret it at all, but I think our riding styles are a little different.
  13. they will be fine, being sandblasted won't harm the aluminum at all.
  14. that is the same bike in my pics!!
  15. I don't have any real good pics, but here they are. It is a buddy of mines banshee.
  16. I bought a set of cylinders from him and it all went great, he even shipped them to me before I even payed for them to see if I liked them! Again great seller, I would definitly do business with him again. Thanks Ryan.
  17. sounds like to me that your shee has been crashed and the hoop in front of the tank has been bent so the holes don't line up. Mine lines up everytime, same goes with my bros; perfect fit.
  18. Hey Chase I'll vouch for you, everything I have bought from you arrives here right on time. Thanks man.
  19. on my stock motor i am using a head gasket that is from a 98' banshee. It was a customer of mine, when i rebuilt is bike, that had never been apart, i took the old head gasket and put it on my stock engine.
  20. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  21. haha yeah thats prolly true! :yelrotflmao:
  22. Oh come on Tommy you know you like it, or are you just worried it will out run your raptor!!
  23. umm....a couple posts up you posted $220 shipped.
  24. well do you have the stock shock with your +6 swinger?? If so that is why yours probably squats alot I am guessing that is what it does. Well the stock shock isn't strong enough for a six over. Depending on your weight you could probably just buy the heavier spring from cascade. But I weigh damn near 300lbs so I bout a QA1 Proma Star coil over shock from JEGS. Yeah sounds redneck doesn't it. I posted about it in this forum under "truck shocks on atvs" anyways works great for me and it is 12 way adjustable. I usually ride with it on 5 and for dragging i can turn it up to 9 and it is as solid as a strut. Also I only have $230 in the shock and spring. Compare that to a works or elka set up for my weight and my swinger!!
  25. here is a plus 6 here is a plus 4
