  1. Was the rf x7 used? If not I'll give you 300 shipped
  2. Ditch the T5's and go with some CPI or Shearers and then get a +4 to +8 swingarm. I doubt they are going to do anything other than cleanup on the cylinder but even then if you set it up right you might get into the upper 80's low 90's. I would only get a +4 if you still plan on dune riding.
  3. Great... made me look at this damn picture... White snake, smashing pumpkins, b-52's, white zombie, led zep, eagles, 50 cent, guns & roses, black flag, and maybe garbage.
  4. What the hell you talking about annoyingly loud??? You sure it's not all the race gas your smelling when we are out cruising the dunes?
  5. Justin your crazy... having your rear shock serviced should not cost more than 80 bucks which includes new oil. I have not noticed my rear shock getting any worse than when I had it rebuilt a few seasons ago. It could be that your nitrogen has been leaking out slowly (would be your luck huh) and that could be why you feel that your shock is in need of a rebuild. Matt I will be having my rear shock serviced hopefully before the next dune trip and I plan on having the spring changed out again to something that will work with the +6. If you would like to save a few bucks and buy my spring off me I'll make you a deal on it. It is an Eibach spring.
  6. Matt as in Wallrat got the Chrome swingarm... I still have the silver vein powder coated one for sale.
  7. The best I can get with the everything installed on the bike...
  8. Maybe this will help... if you want closer pics let me know. I think you can figure it out by the pic though.
  9. Let me guess... it was warm 80* or so and there was no breeze at all. Where were you riding when this happened? I had the same thing happen to me about 2 months ago at Gordon's (I even have a cool head). It was an o-ring that caused presurizing of the coolant system. You have a head gasket leak for sure. Check how tight the head nut are.
  10. These guys are probably thinking he sat there can gouged out a hole in the liner. If it was just a little slip and it was low enough on the cylinder (under the port roofs) I would not worry about it. Take some 600 grit and lightly go over the marks to be sure there are no burrs sticking up and run it. If you look at some cylinders that have been ported you will occasionally find some cylinders where the guy got lazy and drug the port chamfering bit across the liner to the next port. I've seen it a ton of times.
  11. Sorry guys... Matt stole it before you had a chance!
  12. I have a +2 CHROME Lonestar round housing swingarm for sale... Has twin row Lonestar bearing carrier that was just packed with fresh teflon inpregnated grease. I just did a quick polish job on the brake caliper mounting bracket but there is some wear on it that is visible (I'll try to get better pics soon). Chrome looks good but has some light scratches and the bottom under the carrier is a tad dull from being riden in sand. It also has a new swingarm pivit bearing kit that includes the inner sleave and the outer dust caps. Does not include the chain slider or the mallet! $475 OBO + shipping. PM me or email [email protected] Hope these pics work Silver vein swingarm not for sale yet... currently on my shee until I can get a new +6
  13. I'll be there 10-12 somewhere in wash 3 area I believe... I'll come back and fill in the details after I get everyone informed.
  14. no they are for 7/8" bars only.
  15. Preload is exactly what it says it is... how much load the shock has on it before any suspension movement. You need to add in compression dampening to slow down the shock so it doesn't bottom out as hard. Like mentioned above you are not using your full suspension travel unless you do lightly bottom out on the biggest jumps.
  16. The life flight that I saw was for a sand rail accident. One confirmed fatality and 3 others that had to be extracted. The rail was reported to be driving very fast and hit a kiddy track.
  17. Indubitably has the most info about what happened but we'll have to wait until the NY group gets home to get the real details. I know I heard the story from a couple of the guys but like Pete I will hold back info until someone with first hand knowledge can tell the story. We noticed someone else being life flighted out on Sunday around 2pm... the dunes have claimed too many already and we still have the second half of the season to go.
  18. I think 99% of all broken top cases are caused by owner neglect. If you don't check your chains and sprockets for wear and adjust the chain for proper tension your asking for a broken chain/cases. If you buy junk no name chains and sprockets off ebay again your asking for trouble. Spend the extra few bucks and buy good chains and name brand steel sprockets. Install them properly and clean, oil, and visually inspect everything from the swingarm, axle nuts, carrier bolts, sprockets, chain, and even engine mounts.
  19. About .030 new unused about .020 used.
  20. Hydro Dynamics is the company that makes I-shocks. They seem to be reliable so I wouldn't expect their a-arms to be any different. I know they are selling them really cheap right now too.
  21. 1 bottle of engine ice will fill a completely dry banshee and will fill the overflow with a little to spare.
  22. JT I just wanted to let you guys know ahead of time that they removed the large dumpsters from Glamis. They now have the small dumpsters that are like the ones behind small retail stores. I know some of you are thinking big deal... well it is. The problem is these small dumpsters get filled up really fast. Once they are filled you can not put any more in (lid must stay closed) and most likely a ranger or sheriff will be on site to make sure everyone takes their trash home. This will pose a problem with all you people coming out for the week since no one can dispose of your trash. It probably won't be a problem during the week but after the weekend they will be full. Hopefully they will empty the dumpsters a couple times during the weekend. If you have any questions let me know. Sorry to be a bubble burster but we have the tree hugging fairies hovering overhead every weekend looking for any reason to shut the dunes down.
  23. Get some 6 ply tires... and as Walrat said... a rock plate/gouge guard for your swingarm is a good thing to have. Let me know when your planning on going... I may take the pit bike out for some bashing.
  24. I should have read your first post a little more closely.
  25. What do you mean by 3 over? The 795 series pistons only come in half millimeter increments ie.. 64.0, 64.5, 65.0... Your displacement will be one of the following 373(64), 379(64.5), 385, 391, 397 Anyway I think you end up with 155 mains CGL needles 4th clip and 45 pilots. 69HP sounds good to me.
