  1. Buy them raw and fucking polish them!
  2. Interested in package deal on stator, flywheel, cdi....
  3. There is, or at least there was......
  4. To answer an earlier question, yes a stock head can be set up to accept stroke.
  5. Huh, I don't know your mods. It's a shame they aren't listed because a lot of guys that can help will blow right by this with out k owing your bike. After all, it's your bike not one of ours....
  6. Synthetics made for 50:1 will make excessive heat when mixed at 32:1 or even 40:1. I was always skeptical of their ability to protect at the 50:1 ratio but it seems to work for many. I prefer castor type oils at 32:1 in my race bike though.
  7. Shit, they were jamming those grand prix's out the factory door.
  8. Uhh, you sure? Lotta long travel banshees are 17" shocks.
  9. They are every bit of the same quality as the Weisco as they are manufactured by them. Get your clearances right and chamfer the ports after bore/hone and they are great for budget motors
  10. How do you like those dial a jets? I really wanna do power jets or a dial a jet for cold weather stuff. Tired of tearing the carbs apart every day at the lake. One day it starts out sunny and mid 30's and humid, by the end of the day it's 2 and dry as hell. Then the next day it's the opposite so I gotta re jet for the first ride and then the weather flips so Intake the carbs off again.
  11. No stainless bolts for the suspension stuff! It can shear off.
  12. You're fine if you're not over 50". Even some 50" trails aren't 50" though. How wide are the trails you ride?
  13. My brother taught me that back in high school. Been using that method on everything from pussy to cabinetry.
  14. Good luck. I ran one on my stock stroke big bore and it sucked! It always needed parts or tweaking....
  15. There is a thread about this about 4/5 posts down after my post now.
  16. Cool head: runs a tad cooler, allows for proper domes that burn more efficiently and at your desired compression and are swappable for different set ups. Where as the stock head needs to be machined and cant keep being re configured. Radiator: sheer physics, bigger radiators cool more. Simple. Billit impeller: almost never fail while stock impellers are very known for having issues like melting, snapping at the shaft, or losing fins. To boot the move more coolant and really do drop engine temps. All in all, who ever told you that shit is quite wrong. Just sounds like some one who has had semi stock banshees on and off for years and has never really looked at the aftermarket other then what their local shop sells at the counter. I've met so many guys with banshees who swear they have the baddest bike around till we ride together and they see this website. Then I have to deal with the constant regurgitated misinformation that they find on here.
  17. Why so many dud threads in this section?
  18. You sir are a prime candidate for a yfz450 hybrid! How bout a timing plate?
  19. Well that settles that debate... Even with him sleeping at the tree.
  20. On that particular list I only know one name I'm not familiar with but I'm not sure if they handle porting or not and don't really care. But every other name on that list claims to do their own shit.
  21. Cant vouch for any of Jim's work on cubs, but my stock cylinder set up is just tits! Rob at RDZ has some sketchy past, but his shit flat out hauls! I am in Michigan so I see a lot of his stuff and almost all of it is drag stuff and it never dissapointed any one but the guy behind it.
  22. Ugh, and I get mad when people put "what oil" threads in the flat track section. This needs to be moved.
