  1. Negative, to low will make ya slow. These things need some height to transfer weight and actually hook up. The crazy low stuff turns, but very very rarely gets hooked up well.
  2. ^ ya, make sure the bike definitely isn't eating it.
  3. Definitely gonna agree that you should be running something different. If you must Use Mikunis, TM or maybe TMX. But there aren't gonna be many folks who have ran that so you may be alone figuring out Jetting. Judging by your post, you don't sound the most comfortable with that. Keihin PWK's or maybe some lectrons.
  4. Hope it looks nice with these new Full Flights.
  5. Those are actually damn salvageable. It's stupid, but none the less totally fixable. I wonder if they're even a matched set.....? Deck/Lap them even and make sure the bores are on point and clean them both up as evenly as possible. Then get domes and run it!
  6. Any one here running the RK Tek head for cheetah a cheetah set up? What other options are there for heads on these things?
  7. First, those cases are tight tolerance. You are nuts for aimlessly pounding them out instead of finding a press to use for 5 minutes. Second, when removing anything with heat, you don't torch the object inside that you're trying to remove. It's simple physics. Heat expands the metal, so by torching the bolt it swells inside the threads making it harder to remove. It also softens the bolt so it makes them easier to break off. TORCH THE SURROUNDING AREA. Third, fuck it..... You got it figured out.
  8. I've got to swing a leg over one of those Rudy Kurtz 370's. Pretty boss!
  9. Take a peak in the clutch lock up tuning thread. I vaguely remember a diagram being posted and it helps with 2 step, and other rpm accessories.
  10. 66mm is pretty much the standard in max bore for the stock cyls. There's a few fellas with them at 66.25-66.50mm, but make sure the tune is spot on or it won't live. If you can get away with a hone go that route with fresh pistons and rings. Maybe rings if your pistons truely are in good shape. With that bore and a long rod crank you should definitely be using the Blaster pistons, but make sure the head/domes are set up for it as the blaster piston has a different shape crown. As far as tune up, a 340 is a lot of fuel for stockers! Are they ported? If not, that will be a different issue. Give every detail on the motor set up and guys can help steer you toward the right jetting.
  11. Hey, nine powder colors later and it's almost back to original!
  12. The hill shooter would be the way to go IMO.
  13. The 350 main is what's ruining your day. It's way to much fuel. Sheester has just posted a decent starting point for ya. Maybe try a 30 pilot instead of the 27.5 if you have pod filters.
  14. Isn't it amazing how people think what they have is just fine or really runs great, till they actually try the good shit...?
  15. Pros: Install is easy It is rebuildable It is cheaper Cons: It's cheap You'll learn how to rebuild it often
  16. ASV = Best Streamline = Pretty good
  17. ^ No need for a site sponsor for that one. CAMATV has that covered! (had to cam lol)
  18. Spray bottle of soapy water will tell you what's leaking.
  19. Thanks for the education, btw FAST is in Kansas.
  20. That frame and upper A arms is just fucked. Maybe it was a J arm and someone just built mutant arms and mounts to make it work. None the less, keep your arms and find a decent frame. You are doing a ground up, now is the time to ditch that McGuiver mess and do it right.
  21. This is just "rediculous".
  22. Have the carbs ever been off for a good cleaning?
  23. My thoughts, he's a site sponsor. So regardless of whether it's done right or not, regardless if it's becoming a common issue, you will be flamed for saying anything bad about a contributing sponsor......... Ultimately, it's probably best to have someone else get ya some domes.
