  1. The hardest part will be fine tuning the mid range transition. Find an EEK needle to make it work.
  2. Nobody else caught the stock pilot with CPI's and Pods? Get that swapped to at least a 27.5 pilot. It may eat a 30.... Definitely would with reeds. Domes, 20-21 CC wood wake it up, but the crank would probably fare better with a quick weld. If not definitely 21-22's
  3. Magnet on a metal rod slipped in to the trans shaft from clutch side. If it doesn't come that easy.... The rod has mushroomed on the actuator side and there is only one solution. Surprise, split the cases! Could have been done and back together by now. Don't let it scare you. You literally have three big pieces inside there. Lift the top case off and there are two trans clusters and the crank. Lift it all straight up and out and don't pull any of it apart. Just inspect it all. Maybe pull bearings off one at a time to feel if they are sloppy. Remove the rod and ball then clean parts as best as possible. Get a case of brake parts cleaner if you don't have a parts washer. Lay it all out on a clean rag/towel and spray it down till the fluid comes off clear. Clean the cases' mating surface with acetone to remove old sealant. Grease the bearings one at a time and drop the trans clusters back in. There will be pretty obvious grooves on the transmission where you line up the shift forks. Then drop the crank in. Now run a micro bead of sealer over the bottom case half surface. Drop the top on and start checking that your NEW case seals are still in place, same with little pins on the factory crank bearings. If all is well, start the torque procedure and move on to the top end or clutch and stator .
  4. Are you talking about those ridiculous brake lines or the swaybar? The best swaybars out there are the Rath bars. I think I would like to try one from Fireball as well.
  5. Yes, but not many folks have nitrogen fill stations.
  6. Cut always should face the back, pull the filters to see if it is actually sticking or not. Could be tha cable or throttle if it is. If it isn't sticking, you probably have an air leak. The later of the two is a good recipe for a melt down.
  7. Well, that means you have a decent tune up IMO. Richer bikes tend to start easier, but your pet idiot.... Uh friend is a moron.
  8. Me personally I know it works well on the few race toys, but for a guy like you it could really start helping your business in the long run. I would say a bucket would be a great test as you can do two teeth side by side and actually see the difference in wear. Plus you happen to have a fleet of Vehichles, how often are you purchasing rotors? Sharpening mower blades?
  9. Definitely piston then.
  10. Zilla, I suggest sending a tooth off one of the buckets you build. I garuntee you'll see the improvement on that.
  11. That's a good read for guys looking for a quick basic understanding of a lock up
  12. Not supposed to be a drag set up though. What is the difference in weight between a 450 motor and banshee motor?
  13. Not trying to get in the bash wagon, but this is correct. ALWAYS do a run down, check list, whatever you wanna call it. Or kaboom....
  14. Well yeah.... But a good machinist should have some pride and quality to their work and it should not look cobbled. I think it's totally possible for a weird looking set of cylinders to run nice, but in the 15 years I've played with these things, if it looks like shit, it usually is.
  15. I'm blown away, that is haggard compared to what I've seen out of there. I wonder if they got some "new" talent.
  16. No unless you got another frame.
  17. That looks nothing like any of the JSR work I have seen. Are we talking the same company in Kansas, EFI , pikes peak , john Stallworth? Because that looks like it is definitely someone still in their learning curve..... An imposter?
  18. Those are in rough shape! Chuck em. In their condition they are liable to crack and leave you stranded. In theory, those things can't hurt.
  19. Can we get the full specs on the set up? Maybe a photo or two? PM me if you need help posting a photo.
  20. Make damn sure that there is a Dryer on the compressor before the fill hose. Moisture will be the enemy inside those shocks.
  21. Is that just a drop in K&N filter? No lid on the box?
  22. It'll be fine. The guy is capable of proper engine assembly. He's just not the Porting Wizard that he has claimed to be. It will run alright. It won't Wow you unless it's your first ported set up.
  23. Those are nice as well. I like the Wicked stuff, but I'm jaded about not being able to get domes for my torque head.
  24. What can I say, it's built to PRODUCE!
