i just bought a 2001 4-door dakota. I think its the shit- my shee fits fine, though i do have to have the tailgate down. but thats no biggie. my only advice would be to get a truck that has enough power to haul a trailer-ya never know when ya might invest in more shees.

dont forget to get some reed spacers-good for another 5-10 hp

how high is your compression right now???? as long as you stay under 160 or so, you wont need race fuel.

im not sure if your gunna want to get bigger carbs yet-with the mods you have so far, they might not be worth the money... instead, why not get a Noss head and a rickey stator adjustable timming plate- both those mods combined would be cheaper then carbs. after you get it ported then bigger carbs will be a good investment. as for now, start with the basics and go from there. welcome to the HQ

your local yamaha shop should have a clymers for ya- as for instslling your shift pro-it's preaty easy.! i did my whole deal(complete clutch,shift cam, shift star, shifter spring) a few weeks ago without any experience at all. and it turned out AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just take your time and pay attention during disassembly.good luck
