    4mm Cub

    2 words.... Holy Shit
  2. the porting is gonna run more than $250 most likely. there's shipping, gaskets, and probably new pistons, a hone job, possible bore....... for a simple bolt on with no headaches or downtime, I'd put the reeds on, or save my money til I had enough for new pistons and such. if you didn't care about the length of down time, you could sell your cylinders and probably pick a set of used ones that have been ported for a very similar price. the cubs have put a pretty large surplus of ported stock cylinders on the market. people that spent a grand on drag porting are selling their cylinders for nothing, because nobody wants them anymore in favor of the cub.
  3. Thanks, man. Can't wait for the first ride review
  4. any sadness would probably be squelched heavily when it arrives from shipping. RNBRAD, what are your plans for it? gonna leave it as is, or gonna do some part swapping? I'd love to see that cub in that other bike
  5. I wouldn't call it animosity per se. It just gets old sometimes with people asking tech questions that always seem to turn into a sales pitch. MP Racing use to do it quite a bit in some of our local forums, and I felt the same then, not that I equate FAST with MP in any way. There was a guy on here a week or 2 ago, can't remember, and his clutch was slipping. FAST's response wasn't "have you tried this?", it was PM me, I got new ones in stock. I'm sure Jeff is a good guy. I don't want to discredit him. But as much self-promotion as he does, agin, it just rubs me the wrong way when it gets out of hand.
  6. Great, next year in the nicest banshee competition, RNBRAD will have 2 of the top 5 bikes. What a douchebag
  7. This thread progressed as expected. FASTOYS, are you a used car salesman on the side or somethin'? You just missed out on a sweet 7mm cub deal on planet sand. Guy was selling some for $675 a week ago. You can buy any variety of the cub from about any shop in the nation for the same price, so you might wanna go to a local shop. You can check out the casting that way. I know when I picked up my 4mm cub, I ended up taking the 2nd or 3rd one off the shelf, because the first one was casted very thin on one part of the exhaust flanges. The 4mm cubs will put out between 90 and 100 HP depending on your setup. If that's not enough, then pony up the $$ for the 7mm or wait for the 10mm's to arrive. The cost difference between a 7mm and a 10mm are pretty minor.
  8. VIPRacing on ebay will be tough to beat on hotrods cranks...
  9. I don't get the question... stock for stock, the 700 would be tough to beat piped, it would come down to who knew how to ride better. what I can tell you for certain, is that I've lost quite a few races to bikes I shouldn't have, and have beaten a fair share of bikes I shouldn't have.
  10. stock vs stock, the raptor would win. piped shee vs the 700 is probably a pretty decent matchup. I think the raptor since inception was yamaha's replacement for the banshee.
  11. happy b-day, man
  12. met a chick on the 4th this year in Florence. she had a yfz450, and she was all of about 85 pounds soaking wet, and she put the hurting to alot of banshees. she could ride better than most of the men out there. smokin' ass hot with a smokin' ass hot friend riding double. i'll never forget the screams and smiles when I let her ride my banshee. I was told that she was a Budweiser girl too.....dunno. the raptor's still a pile of shit too btw
  13. bad timing, man. would like them, but I'm a broke ass bitch at the moment.
  14. drag inframes? CPI's and shearers all around damn good pipe? T5's
  15. let me know if you have a layaway plan, accept food stamps, etc....... I'd sell blood and sperm (my own, and not mixed) for that bike.
  16. nice, man. had no idea that Georgia Pacific made rear struts
  17. modquad is a sponsor of the site. their covers go for 295, if I remember right. then hq members get 10% of of that, so somewhere around 265 for some good looking aluminum. cascade's are nice too, but you don't get the 10% discount.
  18. haha, I wish that was part of my stable. That's DemonShee's bike. One of the nicer bikes on this forum. Just sucks to see it for sale is all.

  20. don't forget our wager, denny
  21. before you change your gearing... Have you tried positioning yourself on the bike differently, like teabagging your gascap when you launch? You can also play with your tire pressures some too. You can double clutch your 2nd gear launches too. Just so many factors to consider. What mods do you have right now? What gearing? What paddles? What's the sand like (wet or dry)? Answering these will help us help you.
  22. that's really surprising to me, considering how much those things are. hotter spark prolly ain't gonna do jack for a gas motor.
  23. wtf is a fox airframe?
