  1. tis the season...
  2. 28's would be a good size. reeds may pickup a HP or 2, and should give you some better throttle response.
  3. I love the sound of CPI's. T5's are hella loud though, and shearer inframes are louder yet.
  4. That's not the only problem with them. I'd say pricing is largely fubar. They want $80 each for replacement ball joints and $8 per bearing. That's $416 to rebuild an otherwise perfect set of a-arms. You can buy a good set of a-arms new for another $84. To me that's just f'n ridiculous.
  5. buy it from a local builder, so they can take the old one off and press the new one on. there's alot of stress on that side of the crank because of the clutch. the tz is a very good mod.
  6. quick payment on his end too, glad it all worked out like planned
  7. I don't see a size on it. I'm 5'7" though and pretty stocky and it fit pretty good.
  8. if your disks are just loose in there, I'd think that you could move the clutch arm with your fingers way past the arrow alignment.
  9. most likely you just need to take the pressure plate off and roate it one set of holes clockwise or counter-clockwise. this will let the plate sit flush against the disks. with the disks being loose, i would've thought it would've felt very very very easy at the lever, but give that a try.
  10. what did the clutch feel like in at the lever? did it feel right there?
  11. man, i don't think rocketboy started this thread off trying start a pissing match with FASTOYS. I still don't think that's the motivation here. He just didn't understand why everyone toted the FZR clutch when according to his calipers and observations, the cheapo tusk was ths same thing. I think that he was just giving everyone some info that he'd discovered, in the hopes of saving people some money. If he's wrong, fuckit. His heart is in the right place. My ears are open when people recommend cost savings here and there. Here's a little foreshadowing. I'm planning on doing a dyno run with a stock vs nology coil. If I find out the stock coil puts out the same HP that the nology does, should I just keep my mouth shut and let everyone go out and spend $150 on an aftermarket coil, or share it with my comrades? I already know that if the coils performed identically though, all I'd hear all day long is "that's BS, it made a huge difference on my bike". So, I guess, why should I share any info, it all turns into pissing matches, it seems.
  12. shoot me pics of the spinner axle covers to [email protected] just wanna see them
  13. there are a couple ebay stores that sell them pretty decently priced. like 349 for fronts and 379 for rears.
  14. and are you sure those are lonestar? all the lonestar arms I've seen have been gusseted on the lowers where the shock mount is.
  15. just checked and nada....
  16. I sat mine out in the sun for a good 30 mins, sprayed some wd40 on them, and they went on without too much trouble. It was still tight, but I've been there before
  17. why bump your ad? you don't respond to people that are interested in the first place.
  18. twas nothin, man. just had to sell some blood and semen
  19. true dat
  20. sale pending - Too Many Toys
  21. I'll take $35 and ship them today if you can paypal it.
  22. Nothing to see here.....move along
  23. I put the springs on the pipes, then mount the silencers directly to the grab bar and subframe. Then, go and play with the front exhaust hanger to keep the pipe off the head. Then tightent he exhaust clamp. Never had a problem with my pipes hitting anything.
  24. that complete kit is probably from Cascade Innovations. You'll get what you see in the picture. They've been around for a long time. $1100 does seem a tad high though, but it depends what type of porting he'll be doing. Even so, it would be too much to put into a stock cylinder motor. There's definitely something to be said for buying local though. It's nice to be able to drive over and talk to them if you need to. And you don't have to worry about shipping costs or damage, or the amount of time.
