I was thinking about getting this... http://product.samsung.com/event/optin05/sportscam_site/ comes with the helmet cam, and you could have 4.5 gig of flash memory if I remember right (4gig stick and 512Meg Internal)
-
yeah, they're decent clutches. I run 3 toomey springs though, alternate every other one.

mine are 8" as well, and honestly, I've wondered if 10's would be better, or if they even make them......not sure There's a place semi-local to me that has the best deals I've seen on tires/rims. http://www.smimotorsports.com/ It's nice, because I don't have to pay shipping. Even though they don't have them listed, you could always give them a call and get prices that way. www.sandwizards.com has a bunch of folks that are local to winchester bay as well, along with www.windybayrippers.com and www.sandlakeduners.com There's some good pictures/vids/etc on all of those sites. There's just a ton of really good people here in Oregon that are helpful, friendly, and love to ride.

yeah, helluva tire

from your sig, it looks like we have about the same motor. i run a +4 as well and have run the 20's, and they were fun for roosting and playing around, but just didn't hook up for hills or drag'ing. now I run a 21" extreme 10 paddle, and it's a perfect tire. I can still cut it up through trails or roosting, but i got plenty of hookup when I want it. I run 14-41 gearing, and it's just about perfect. plenty of HP for 2nd gear launches when I'm racing, and allows gearing tight enough to always be in the band. I live in Oregon as well and ride winchester and florence. I'm very pleased with my bike. PM me when you're htinking about coming up. Would be cool to meet a HQer.

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband as not in their bed. She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of him. He appears deep in thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of coffee. "What's the matter, dear?" she whispers as she steps into the room, "Why are you down here at this time of night?". The husband looks up, "Do you remember 20 years ago when we were dating, and you were only 16?" he asks solemnly. The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring and sensitive. "Yes, I do" she replies. The husband pauses. The words are not coming easily. "Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car making love?" "Yes, I remember" says the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him. The husband continues... "Do you remember when he shoved a shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?'" "I remember that too" she replies softly. He wipes another tear from his cheek and says..."I would have gotten out today."

HOT ROD VS STOCK ROD (WHAT'S BETTER)
odaen replied to wildbansheeboy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
he might be referring to a hotrods crank. in which case, no you won't gain any horsepower either if it's the stock stroke. they also make a stock stroke long rod, which I'm guessing is just suppose to take some of the angle out of the rod at the 90 and 270 degree points of the crank. I think the crank itself is better quality and is more rebuildable though over a factory crank. -

too much writing.... -
one more thing, be careful not to bend the tips of the needles. it's easy to do

stock carbs, I'm assuming? if so, hold the slide upside down and compress the spring against the cap with your fingers. tap on the slide with your hand and a clip will most likely fall out. this is what keeps the cable end locked in the slide. once that clip comes out, you can slide the cable end out of the notch in the slide. once you have the cable out and there's no spring, take that clip and put it back in the slide so you know how it goes in and can see what it's doing. trying to figure it out when you're compressing the spring, trying to get the damn cable in the slot...oh, you'll know what I'm talking about when you go to do it. the first couple of times, it's a real pain the ass. once you get it down, it's pretty easy.

could also be a size or 2 off on your mains, it's tuff to say which because they both can behave similar. really only shows like that when you're under a very heavy load, which 6th gear can bring in the sand.

I like the version where the man comes home early from work and does the same thing to the boyfriend. Just doesn't seem as mean spirited

stock CDI's can be had on ebay for 50-75 spend 35 more on an adjustable stator plate. you'll be very close to the dyna performance-wise and have a couple hundred extra bones in your wallet for reeds or a head if you don't have them

How the hell do you install A-Arms?
odaen replied to 01bansheefox's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
you may have reamed the spindles too much, because most ball joints have a tapered shaft to snug up on whatever it's going in to keep it from spinning as you tighten it, similar to tie rod ends on your steering stem. -
cool
-
no, i'm not an internet tuff guy. that's the difference between you and me. I'd never say something to someone over the net that I wouldn't say to their face, and if someone popped off like you did, I'd do something about it, end of story.
-
you will have a completely different bike now. you'll most likely need to buy some main jets, because their kit comes with a 270 and 280 main if I remember right.
-
i think it's matoon more good stuff from Oregon
-
a blown head gasket or o-ring if you are running a cool head can also do this. compression leaks from your domes into the coolant system and pressurizes it dumping coolant out the overflow. not saying that's what's wrong, but it can happen

can't wait til school starts again, so the kiddies are in bed by 10:00. you should care, loco, because one of these times you're gonna spout off to someone that, for instance, might be planning on heading to the bhq fall event, and you won't have a keyboard and 2000 miles of fibre optics to hide behind. at that point, the conversation would be properly ended. and the only one making a bigger deal out of this thread is you. way not cool, man. talk like that, you'll be picking up your teeth with broken fingers. he made a pun...a play on words, get it? big and boring...big bore.... I got a laugh out of it.

makes a $35 adjustable stator plate pretty attractive
-
not a prob at all
-
woah, at that point it was a joke. almost thought your original post was a joke too. sorry, I can't get jazzed up about predator's, vforces, or ds650's. i'll drop it at that. i got 1500 into the 80hp, 3k into the bike, and 500 in other minor crap. that's 5k total. and like i said, when someone comes out with a 80hp bike for 5k, I'll be looking at buying one. in an effort to not turn this more south than it already is, I'll let the other shit slide.
-
since nobody else is answering, I'll give you my honest opinion. I've seen roll design arms on here for $400 shipped, same with lone star chromed racing arms (less than 2 weeks ago). $525 + $150 worth of stock a-arms and shipping on top puts you at $700 for some used arms. I know this stuff ain't cheap to buy brand new, but you typicall get 1/2 to 2/3 of new for parts in good shape, often times with shipping included. if you are patient, you can get stuff for even cheaper. you could always try ebay though, pay their fees, paypal's fees, etc. good luck, i know how bad it sucks to sell stuff you bought new.
