welcome. you could take some material off the head to bump your compression up. can advance the timing some as well. a mild port job will also help considerably. pipes, well, Toomey T5's are a very versatile pipe, as are Pro Circuits, and FMF's. Some 28PWK carbs would be a good investment too. good luck with it.

I got a video of my dragging 2 other 4mm's at florence with my old motor. I can't brag about the height of my roost, but they definitely throw it back a long ways. And they hook pretty good too. It's a handful for damn sure though. Couple of more heat cycles on the motor and I'll get to see what it does balls out. It's gonna be scary though, I can already tell.

when I'm just cruising around, i try to keep it in a gear and an RPM, where if I want it, power's just a clutch away. I don't typically ride hard across the sand though, normally am just heading somewhere I will be riding hard. Nailing some jumps along the way.

With a piped banshee, I'd run stock gearing with some 20" haulers, or even jump down a tooth in the front. I've heard somewhere, may have been here, that running a larger front sprocket and going larger on the rear to accomodate it will improve your chain life from not being stressed with such a tight radius on the front sprocket. oh, and the ERT chains from DID are non o-ring, and hold up rather well.

sounds like the bowls are running dry for some reason, and the mixture starts getting lean as it runs out of gas, causing it to rev like that. Do you have an inline fuel filter on it? Maybe a partially clogged fuel line or something. Check to see that yoru pipes aren't burning yoru fuel line and sealing it almost shut. I damn near did that with my old motor. I wasn't careful about the routing of my fuel line and it laid against my pipe.....it was almost ugly.

one more thing, you can PM rocketboy on here. he'll tell you what to buy if you want the beefier street bike clutch setup. think he told me it runs about $50.

save your money. just get a tusk clutch from RMATV and get the ones with the HD springs. run all 6 or alternate them with your stock ones. Worked fine for my 80HP 4mm. Still running that clutch in my 4mm cub. I'll see how it holds up, but will be going to a lockup next summer to help it out.

Well, honestly, my bike is setup perfect for my old motor. I'm probably not gonna budge on the +4 arm, so I'll gear it or run different paddles....whatever it takes to ensure I can launch hard in 2nd, yet be able to keep the front controllable to stay in the gas. I just need a few runs on the motor to get an idea.

+4 swingarm. 14/41 gearing with 21" 10 paddle extreme haulers.

It slides over both plugs. The underside of the piece is cut like 2 sockets to lock the plugs into place. You can pop it off and use it as a wrench too.

I was told that methanol isn't corrosive, but the moisture that it collects is. I also don't know that alcohol and gas will mix well, if at all.

marital problems can lead to depression. i think pills have thier place with people who actually have chemical imbalances that can't be controlled any other way, but most people use them to treat symptoms instead of fixing the root of the problem. your wfe sounds like a stay at home mom, if she's sleeping and picking up the kids. you gotta get her out of the house and doing something constructive with her life. staying at home all of the time, getting fed maury and oprah every damn day would make anybody depressed to the point they just wanna sleep and be medicated. so, I'd start focusing on your wife and get her doing something that will give her more confidence, a part-time job, or possibly some education. hope things get better, man. My internet connection was flakey this morning, and I wanted to write more. I put a couple of heat cycles on my new 4mm cub yesterday, and I just gotta say I'm impressed. The shearers sound like a T5, only deeper and quite a bit louder. I didn't let it rev out at all, but when that motor got on the pipe, it didn't matter what gear you were in, the result was the same, the front wheels came right up in a hurry. I'm not one for wheelies, but I had to have ridden a 4th gear wheelie for 50 yards going up a hill. My stock cylinder 4mm was no slouch. When I first put it together, I dyno'd it at 76HP. Put some different carbs on it, and race gas domes before I tore it down, so it had to be about 81HP or so. This cub motor pulls in 4th like my other pulled in 3rd. I'm very very impressed. Cameron, if you even read anything on HQ, thanks, buddy. You will be building my next one too.
