  1. WTF does this mean exactly, explain it in English please. the crossover tube is used to equalize the pressure between each cylinder. since the boost bottle is bigger, it increases the captivity of the pressure. Oh, ok I gettit now, the pressure from the one cylinder goes back through its closed reed valve, crosses over in the boost bottle, goes through the reed valve of the next cylinder to equalize the two cylinders. Makes more sense now...

  7. I bet you've just been waiting for an oppertunity to use that emoticon
  8. Not easily, but, if you're willing to throw enough money at it, anything can be achieved. I've only one question: WHY ?
  9. The hardest part will be getting the ball joints off, to avoid damage to the old ball joints, I recommend using a picklefork, alternatively just knock them out with a BFH. I'm not too sure if the spindles require reaming with the LSR arms, hopefully not. With a bit of creative re-routing the stock brake lines should reach. For setting the camber & caster, go directly to LSR's website and look in the installation guide, it's pretty good.
  10. This is indeed a very popular mod, I also have it done and it works great. I started off with a cooking thermometer, but mine only lasted about 2 rides before the needle fell off. After that I purchased an industrial quality glycerin filled dial thermometer and it's been working great. You have to ensure that the tip of the thermometer is as close to the T-piece as possible to get quick and accurate readings.
  11. I'd say that's in the ballpark considering stock head and elevation, do another test on a cold engine and post back.
  12. PTT, both powder coat and chrome will get damaged from trail riding. I see you're looking at a-arms, well, powder coat will chip, where chrome will peel off, if you know what I mean. I originally had both my a-arms chromed (they came like that), but the lower a-arms started to look crap very soon. (It doen't help being roosted by your buddies KX500 all the time ) Seriously though, we ride through tall grass and double track bush roads with the raised centre and the chrome didn't last too long before it looked like crap. So right now I have the lower a-arms powder coated silver and the uppers still the original chrome. The lowers are starting to look a bit worn with the P.C. as well, but the coating doesn't peel like the chrome did. Looking at your avatar, it appears that you're into trail riding as well, I would suggest going the same way as I did if this is an option. For any other type of riding chrome will be fine...
  13. That just 'bout sums it up!

    women

I have to tell you straight up bro, once a chick starts spouting this line, it's time to move on, don't waste your time waiting for her to "find" herself. You can take this any way you want, but honestly, from where I'm sitting that sounds pretty pathetic, so all I'll say is this: GET A LIFE DAMMIT
  15. Post some pics once you have them mounted!
  16. eMachineshop.com Found this the other day, you design your part using their drawing software, choose the type of machine (lathe, 3-axis mill, lazer, etc), material, finish, tolerances and surface treatment like anodizing or cadmium plating etc, they then machine and ship it to you. If you're used to CAD or the likes you'll find their drawing program very easy to use, I "milled" myself a nice barclamp in about 30 minutes, using 6061 - T6 and anodized it red. Viewed it in 3-D and it looked good! I tried to get a quote and found out they only ship inside the USA , anyway, it's quite a lot of fun and perfect for "one off billet" jobs. Like I said, I didn't get a price for my clamp though, so it might be helluva expensive.
