The Trail Tech computers are going for $75 at RockyMountain, that's without all the billet. Not everyone's cup o' tea, but the Garmin Etrex GPS is going for about $78 at Amazon.com, this GPS is waterproof, no installation required, can be used on another bike, car or handheld, and with all the obvious advantages of GPS. It doesn't come with the handle bar clamp as standard supply though, the clamp is $13.99.. Worth a look, IMO the Trail Tech is just a glorified cycle computer... In fact you can also go the cycle computer route if you want, before I had the GPS, I used a CatEye Cordless 2 Mountain Bike Computer, worked like a charm, installation of the proximity switch sender unit was a bit tricky, but it is a pretty clean install with no cables...

I have a pair of long legged inside calipers at home, with the filter removed, I stick the calipers inside the carb to measure the height of the slides... Easier than the window method.

The exhausts on an RZ bolt to the cylinders, it's not too difficult to manufacture an adapter to fit banshee pipes, however, you end up with clearance issues, exhaust against the frame. Depends on which pipe you're using though, not too sure... Need to get the others to chime in here, Meat was doing it, but it's all quiet there now, BenBB's is in progress and I know Minkia had an RZshee, hopefully they'll reply... I'm thinking the same thing here, buy a running bike and drop the whole sheebang in there, no issues with cdi's, flywheels and whatnot.

I reckon you have a serious air leak somewhere, take a good look around all the rubber boots for the carbs, the cross-over tube, choke tube, carb tops etc, shouldn't be too difficult to find.

I've got them, they're supposed to simulate a mild port job, but honestly, my ass dyno didn't feel any difference....

Do a compression test for each cylinder, that should quickly tell you if anything's wrong. It might also be a head gasket starting to leak, if combustion pressure makes its way into the cooling system, it would explain the quick changes in temperature. Good luck man, hope it's not as bad as you think!

I have to agree with sredish on this one, I run Fatty's, K&N, lid on, at 1500ft and I'm jetted with 300-320 mains, stock needle in the middle and 27.5 pilots. You can trust the mechanic if you want, but, for your own peace of mind, do a plug check first thing when you get the bike back home.

I sometimes run 22" Bearclaws, they're very agricultural If your motor has the balls to pull them (they're heavy), they can be used for some serious earth moving.

Meat, I have to agree with ya. I've always wanted one of those, love the new fibre glass, much better looking than the stock fairings. I see it allready has most of the essential mods done allready. Those JollyMoto's must have shaved a ton of weight allready, and the GSXR suspension mods will definetely improve the stockers crappy handling. Some porting and a head cut is all that's needed... Are ya bidding on it?
