  1. I love these...
  2. Noob, where exactly is the bolt you're talking about? Is it broken off inside a blind hole or is there a bit sticking out?
  3. Being from Africa myself, I reckon you're American man! What's with this African American B.S. My forefathers were Dutch, same as about 2 million other South Africans, however, there are no Dutch Africans around here, only Africans...
  4. What goes around comes around... Great news!!!
  5. Lukkyphil, I've ordered from James Lucky, Trinity, Alba and Vito's to South Africa. Mostly via fax or e-mail
  6. Click here
  7. HahaHa, fooled yas! This is a Korean P.O.S. that has shamelessly been copied from the R1. It's called a Yamuda K1. Four-stroke 125cc I dragged one the other day from a traffic light with my mountain bike, took the f..ker about 80 yards before he passed me.
  8. Don't know if this is going to work...
  9. I don't have a clue about the legislation in CA, but, my bike is street legal here in South Africa. I have small enduro bike style indicators, no battery. The indicators flash faster as the bike revs up. I bought my bike new from Yamaha and asked them to install the indicators, so not too sure where they took the power from, prolly the tail light power leads. As the vehicle was purchased new from the dealer, it didn't have to go through any roadworthy inspections at the time. I was pulled over regularly in the beginning, but now they leave me alone.
  10. Noob, don't take it so serious man. Lighten up and try to see the funny side of it. Ducman, that was funny dude! Sure brightened up my day
  11. Couldn't agree more, the only time I have an issue with my GPS is if the woods are real thick, and there is no line of sight to the satelites for more than about 30seconds. One can also carry it for hiking, in the car, mountainbiking, etc.
  12. A couple, my old Bell Moto4 is till my fave.
  13. Well done! Besides racing in the race myself, I couldn't think of a better way to spend the weekend. Could we expect some fresh pics on TBZ then ???
  14. Maybe you're getting combustion pressure into the cooling system? Head-gasket leak maybe... Just a thought.
  15. 22" 6-ply Kenda Klaws
  16. The foam filter lovers are gonna have a field day with this. I've run K&N with O/W for 4 years now, mostly dusty conditions and NEVER had a problem. I use the K&N kit to clean and oil. You shouldn't have to oil the inside of the filter. Don't know what to add really...
  17. WTF are "cool jets"?? (Sounds expensive... lol)
  18. BMackKC, I see you're not getting any answers there bud. I thought I'd give this one a nudge back to the top to see if any one has any inspirational ideas. My honest opinion is that the ball & rod are stuck together.
  19. Don't quite agree with that statement. Couple of bearings and a straight shaft,.. should be spinning nicely. Can't say with any certainty what is wrong, not very familiar with a RAD carrier, maybe it comes with some supa dupa lip seals that's creating the drag, or if it uses angular contact roller bearings, maybe the pre-load isn't quite correct. I reckon you should contact RAD and find some answers...
  20. Not too difficult. You need basic handtools, drilling machine and bench vise. Click on "Search" at the top of the page and type in "tors removal" (with an 'a'). I've just done the search and there's a lot of good info available. You have to drill a hole in the side of the carbs for the new idle screws and then tap them with the tap provided, if you're not paying attention the following can happen. 1) You could drill straight through and into the other side of the slide bore. (put a piece of wood in the slide bore to prevent this) 2) You could drill on the wrong side. ( The new idle screws are supposed to face the outside of the bike) 3) You could drill skew. (File the boss on the carb flat and mark with a centre punch first, use a drill press instead of a hand drill if possible) 4) The mother of all f*ck-ups, the tap can break off inside the hole. (Use plenty of lube, go slow and reverse tap direction at least every 1/4 turn, be patient) Toomey has some info on their website, not to sure about the url.

    Bad Luck

Antwa, good to see you're still here buddy. How's the shoulder & arm doing? My bike is stored in my fathers garage at the moment. I made damn sure that everything was prepared properly for storage, lots of advice from the HQ members at the time, so I'm sure it's ok. My Dad kicks it over once in a while, and runs a couple of teaspoons full of Yamalube down the plug holes. All the shiny bits have been covered by WD40 or "Spray'nCook" to prevent corrosion. Unfortunately he has to move it around the garage quite often so I couldn't keep the wheels in the air like I wanted, I resorted to putting the old stock tyres on there for now... Don't know when I'll be back Don't know if you're aware of this site in SA, it's not too bad. www.e-dirt.co.za
  22. Those frames are sweet, North Shore in Canada is famous for their jump and free-ride bike companies.
  23. Compression's a tad low. Backfiring normally indicates a lean condition, both sides backfiring? Let us know all your mods, elevation and carb settings. Looks like time for a fresh top end with those low compression numbers.
  24. Hey, I didn't know you're the other loco, we've heard a lot about you and seen a lot of your exploits. You're the "other" funny talking Loco rider in the "Banshee Headquarters Kicks Ass" vid. : Good to see you posting here!
  25. Best wishes Scott, hope you have a fun day with your family!
