I know it is a bit hard to do, but try to pull on the choke when you are wondering about your jetting. It will tell you right away if you are rich or lean. If you pull on the choke and and it runs better, you are lean. If you pull it on and the moter starts to sputter and die then it is rich. hope this helps

I have also heard that trinity is not the place to take yur cylinders to get porting done. What I have heard is they will make good power, but the powerband is small and it is then like a light switch, power on or power off.

Will this mod give you a real noticable increase in performance?? I have the boysen 2 stage reeds in mine bike, and was thinking about going with the v-force, but it is a pricey option. Will this give similar gains? thanks Chuck

There should be 2 cables going to the top of the carbs, and there is an extra one if you are using the throttle cable from the bike. It is for the oil injection pump.

When I had my rz/banshee, I used the rz gears and liked it. I always thought that the banshee 1-2 were always a little too close ratio wise.

I thought someone said that you can get exhaust flange adapters from Spec 2 instead of making thm to accept the exhaust pipes. Anyone else heard this??

Hi, thanks for the reply, just checked it out, and they give the part number for the different size main jets but not for the pilots or the air jets. Or if there is a different size cutaway slides for the carbs.

Hi, does anyone have the Yamaha Sock Part number for main jets, pilot jets, air jets? I go to my local Yamaha dealer and all they can do is look up the stock part numbers of what came in the carb when it was new. that does not help when I'm jetting and need different parts than stock. If I could give them numbers then they could just order it and no more headaches chuck

make sure your jetting is on. If it is off, then it will greatly affect your mileage.

Does advancing the timing give more bottom end or more top end? Or does it give more of both?

Maybe the next change, will try the 80wt oil.

What t weight of oil to run in my tranny? Currently running belray 75 weight. Seems to shift fine when the engine is cold but once it warms up, it is harder to shift. Does this mean I need a heavier weight oil? What is everyone else running? thanks

When I wired mine, I got rid of all the extra's(fuse box/kick stand switch/ signal light wires and relays) Also moved the mounts for the cdi so the regulator would mount in the rear. Used a battery eliminator. Seemed to be a little bit of work, but well worth the effort. Never had any trouble with it.

I am curious the type of pipes that will just bolt on to a ra/banshee conversion. The last time I did one, I had to cut and weld the t-5's that it had. Major pain the the butt. Then after that, off to the chromer to get chromed. Would be so much nicer to just get one that will bolt right in. Thinking about builing one again. Any one else out there with one? What kind of setup/pipes/poeting do you have???
