  1. ok answer me this then if i have a blowen seal or a cracked case why does only one cylinder cut out off idle? it's a open crank case there for it should affect both cylinders. i guess i just don't understand
  2. I have 2001 bike, i have removed the tor's i have k&n airfilters with no air boxes i run delta 4 race reeds a high compression head, ported and polished, long rod crank, .80 thousands over piston's and t-5 pipes, and here is my question i run my bike 32 to 1. It misses on the left cylinder above a high idle. I've checked and cleaned the carbs, swaped the plug wiresand plugs, checked the reeds for air leaks and it seems to have good compession on both sides and it runs the same. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for the help
  3. yeah i can find the seat foam and cover but not the damn frame unless i wanna spend 200 dollars from the dealer ship...........
  4. i agree you will be safe. just keep the filter's clean and stay away from water
  5. the bike for 30
  6. no it's a kdx 80 they only made them for a few year's, and i need a seat, it can be used, i bought it for like 30 buck s and everything is sweet except the damn seat at kawaski they want 200 dollars for a seat
  7. I just bought a little 1988 kdx 80 and i was wondering if you guy's know were too get any after market parts for it?
  8. i run with no air box, buti have outerware's and clean my filter's all the time. more air more power
  9. you won't gain a whole bunch from boring them out so. i agree just hone them out if possible or just go .20 thousand's
  10. I totally agree, replace it
  11. i wonder if maybe your efi box is bad then
  12. i bet it's either sucking air at your reeds or you have not unhooked your throttle over ride yet cause that will keep it from idling as well
  13. i was sucking air on mine from the boot a while ago and both cylinder's were firing just a lot of back firing and it would not idle. but i would check your carbs for sure
  14. If ya wanna stay low with the money deal, i would just have the head milled down that way you don't have too spend money on a new head plus ya will get a higher compression. but if i were you i would replace the water pump shaft with a high flow one piece one and get rid of the stock one any way's that way you know that your pushing the coolant where it needs too go and no worry's of the water pump fins coming off the shaft like the stock one can
  15. if it's cracked i would say your sucking air, i would replace the boot, one way too find out is run it and then spray a little bit of starting fulid on the boot and if it spike's the rpm or raise it, it has a hole. but too me it sounds like you might not be getting fuel too that cylinder i would check your carb out if it were me
