  1. Great...thanks alot... I cut off both floats and I can't figure out why my alky milage is so poor now....runs great at WOT, but won't run other than that... LOL...just kidding guys... Removing a float has always been a trick... Don...how come you don't run a fuel pump?? Also...I've found gutting the stock gas cap allows more fuel, and I removed both on and reserve screens from my fuel valve, and drilled the hole in my gas cap vent bigger....
  2. Yep, and I'll say it again...LOL. There are things you can do to get it to shift better, the shift pro kit works well from what I hear... Talk to Jeff @ FAST, he can hook you up with better shifting without going the override route just yet. I don't remember the beginning of this thread....do you have a lockup already?
  3. His mother passed a few months ago... Brad has been working on a TON of different projects lately...cars, bikes...etc. His site is down right now... It is tysonracing.com... jankab can get you in touch with him...or possibly help you as well.

  5. I'm assuming you're using fresh plugs and fresh gas.... So..based on your ground crash skills, it's probably time to look at all the wiring, look for a shorted or pinched wire... Bad kill switch/key switch, etc...
  6. How does the bike feel at WOT? Boggy, surging, or perfect. I think the bottom picture if perfect. Just for the hell of it...get new plugs and do it again...if you get a 2mm ring, and it looks as good as the one i the bottom...I say you're fine. What mods, carbs and jets do you have in there now? Temps and elevation as well...
  7. WOW...a little 465 (Not 100% sure on the size...LOL) twin vs. a big sled motor? That's weird pairings.... Congrats on the win!!!
  8. Backfire? Probably lean on your main....have you done a plug chop??
  9. His user name is junk n jewels... Obviously, he thinks these fall under jewels....
  10. If money wasn't an object, I'd have a caracal cylinder...they're unreal. However...I'd like to get a hold of a 20mil DM cylinder.... A little more affordable, that's for sure.... It's a ton of work to get the cranker to fit... Honestly...I'd like to see people start putting more effort into turbo big 4 stroke motors. Tyson's 450 YFZ is bad ass...I'd like to see that on a new 700 raptor....
  11. Just make it real fast...and as you zip by in a blur that'll keep them wondering...I promise you. Pretty/different bikes get the initial stare. Rip down the track blowing everyone away will garner you more attention than Paris Hilton...
  12. Mr_PSI...there are a few stickies...or pinned threads about jetting at the very top of this forum...I think they'll do you a world of good. Not only did you make a good choice of 2 stroke...but a banshee as well...congrats... It's gonna be fun, hide your checkbook and wallet with the wife...it gets expensive real quick...
  13. If you are not disputing what Tyler has said with valid reasons, I can hardly call him a baby.... He's calling you out, and potential buyers deserve to hear your explanation..
  14. $20 shipped for the crank seals and Head Oring kit, and I will paypal you right now. Shipped to 48082
  15. WOW... Apparently they must know about him over on PS too, then...they've been for sale for a while. Thanks for the heads up...Tyler. Too bad I can't go back and delete/edit my posts...
  16. Cheap and banshee don't belong in the same sentence... It can be done, don't waste your time if you're that tight on money. It's all about the prep work, which costs money...and a good quality paint, which costs money... Plus...sooner or later it's gonna chip off. If you want to go ultra cheapo route, wet sand the plastics with 500 then 800 grit, primer them, then paint 'em. And it'll look ok until someone drops a tool on it, you rub a brush, or you do anything pretty much else to it, including a good pressure wash.... People pay 300 to 2K for a good paint job for a reason, and even then it will chip off if hit/dinged/scratched.
  17. My advice? Call Jeff @ FAST. Get his clutch kit. Use 3 heavy duty springs and 3 stock springs. That way...you'll get a better grip than a stocker, but it won't be so stiff a pull at the lever that you'd be looking like Popeye's forearms... I'm on my 3rd year on his clutch. Stock motor with bolts ons, then my 4 mil cub on gas, now my 10 mil cub on alky... It just keeps going....
  18. That was for Strokerace...NOT you...sorry...
  19. Kinda...centrifugal force keeps the clutch from slipping... It is used anytime it's on...you have to take the window or whole side cover off to remove it. Obviously, it's most helpful in drag racing due to the higher RPMs and load... I'd venture to say most people that run a lockup clutch drag race more than just regular trail or dune riding...
  20. I can't see T4 jetting being off that far from T5. This will be close. 340 main, needle middle clip, 27.5 pilots, 1.0 to 2.0 turns out. That's the jetting I ran in my stock motor T5'd bike...same mods.
  21. It has weights on fingers, that as the motor spins faster, it pushes these weights outward...creating pressure on the plates not allowing them to slip, or slip very little (lockout). I'd say once you get into the 70HP range....they're a very good idea. Also....look for an override tranny too....they work well together...
  22. Hell...I'm bored at work...I'll do it for you now. Strokerace...did you get my PM about those pipes?
  23. I agree...but you pay for convenience... Funny thing is, I walked into duneland last October, closing weekend with JT and he paid 2.55 a gallon for meth. like you said, 3.80 is what I paid memorial weekend. But, I just bought a 5 gallon can of VP Meth for 35 bucks...so, it's not that bad...
  24. Dunland @ Silver Lake carries race fuel...btw. Many oil/gas companies have a search for race fuel by your location...as well. http://www.sunocoinc.com/site/Consumer/Rac...ContactRaceGas/ http://www.sunocoinc.com/Site/Consumer/Rac...ap/Michigan.htm http://www.local.com/results.aspx?keyword=...e&radius=50
  25. Damn...I can't believe you haven't sold these yet. Where were you when I was looking for BB inframe pipes? I love the center out for these things...post up some pics for the others... That's a smoking price for Shearer BB inframe pipes...even without Chrome.... Good luck!
