He's your boy and he's building a 4 stroke? Say it ain't so... LOL.... I've seen most of this stuff in person...no junk...straight up seller and good guy. Bump...

To be honest, we have a store in Grand Rapids and Walker....and I've drive 96 a gazillion times... There's quite a few truck stops along 96...once you get out of the metro Detroit area...LOL... Yep...holla when you're coming up...always good to meet fellow HQ'ers...

Let's back up... At 1000ft elevation, did you get your crank trued and welded? if not...don't go any further...with that much compression on a stock, non-welded crank, you're sitting on a time bomb. I hope you intend to use full race fuel as well. What have you changed exactly since the bike last ran and was jetted correctly...? With porting only, you may or may not have to go up a few sizes on the main, then a few more for pod filters if you had an airbox before....always better to start out rich and work your way down.

I always recommend an outerwear. They keep a little water off the filter, (NO...they are not water proof) and keep the bigger chunks of dirt and sand off the filters. You will always have to clean your filters...eventually. The outerwears increase the maintenance window big time. I only ride in sand/drag strip with my banshee, and I haven't had to clean/oil my filters in over a year. Over time, the engine running will dry out and suck a little of the filter oil in (completely normal, small, small amounts...) and it'll need to be cleaned and oiled properly to filter air correctly. With outerwears on....it really helps keep the filters clean longer...

I'm a dipshit... I96...not I69. Damn dyslexia is kicking in this early...LOL. It's 10 minutes...if that, off I-96...south. Depending on the size of your group....I've got a place you can crash. I'm 2 hours or so from that track....I can accommodate a few people, as long as sleeping on a couch isn't a big deal...and you don't mind my 2 St. Bernards...LOL... http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?count...esubmit=Get+Map

Ask badassbanshee479. He runs an R6 shock on his bike....probably similar length I imagine...

http://trx450r.org/ Nothing wrong with an R.... Drive slow, live long...ride a 4 stroke...LOL... -
I think it'll be like 35 bucks....that's for T&T and racing. I don't think it's far at all. It's exit 59 off of I69, then it's like less than 3 or 4 miles off the freeway...
-
It's basically 45 minutes or less to the East of Grand Rapids, right off I 96.... C'mon up. If there isn't a race, we'll try to rent the track....
-
I run good old BR9ES in my cubby....2 bucks at your local Pep Boys or AutoZone. If you're paying much more than that...holler. I'll send you a box of 10 for a lot cheaper...think I pay like 17 a box.
-
Bro... Plugs are two bucks a piece... Buy new ones, and go from there.

There's a Sand Drag event coming up on July 14th... T&T in the morning from 9AM to noon, racing starts right after. http://www.bobsfamilyraceway.com/main.htm Who's gonna make it out???

They programmable dyna is just that, a programmable ignition. Here's the best part about a dyna over a timing plate. If you use a timing plate (I use both, by the way, a Dyna and a timing plate) you advance the timing across the entire RPM range. Idle to Peak RPM... If you use a Dyna....you can advance the timing at lower RPMs for more punch, and slowly retard it as the RPMs raise for more over rev... However...a Dyna is triple the price of a billet timing plate. Plus, you'll have to spend 100 bucks on a cable and software to program it...and have access to a dyno and dyno time to tune it in. So....if you're looking for cutting edge performance...and about 500 to spend on the igntion and dyno time/tuning time (and you'll need a laptop too... the I say go for it. I haven't had a problem with the el cheapo cast Ricky Stator plate. Then again, I use the proper screw driver to loosen the pickup coil to adjust the air gap on it, too.... I wouldn't pay nearly 80 to 100 bucks for a billet plate, sorry. That being said...Majic Mike is a great guy to do biz with...honest guy with good prices. He won't steer you wrong.

Sweet ride, hate to see you let it go. I've been itching to build a new bike on a drag frame.... I haven't even got to ride my bike running correctly yet.... I gotta get off these forums for a few days, I tell ya... Nice looking ride, best of luck with the sale!!!
-
Not to take anything away from you...Shayne, I was thinking the same thing. 1.42 60 foot on a stock frame, no wheelie bar.....bikes that run in the 3 second range leave that hard...and sometimes don't even get that low of a 60ft. Would be nice if someone rented Bob's this weekend...I'm ready to ride...period. Either way....4 teens and 4.20s are moving on a 4 mil cub...nice work.

You should beat it. It's a damn fast 4X4, don't get me wrong, but with a ported banshee in a drag race, especially against a big heavy lug in sand, you should win. I would be sure to race best 2 out of 3...hate to see you lose a benjamin cause you almost looped it out or missed a shift. But, if you do that twice...it's on you... I don't know the elevation of Seattle, but if you are anywhere near sea level with 18cc domes, keep the 114 octane race fuel... Do you know off hand what your compression is?
-
That's what you paid him to build your motor for...support. Give him a call...he's done enough motors, I'd bet he can spout that info off from the top of his head....
-
I know exactly what you mean...
-
He's in Midland... About 1/2 way up the state. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searc...MI&zipcode=
-
Nah...I think you should buy mine, save me the time/hassle of boxing them up and shipping them...LOL...
-
This may sound completely stupid...but if Jim told you it's raised 3 and lowered 2...couldn't he just tell you the stock measurements?? Am I missing something?
-
Don't forget grips. When you buy aftermarket grips...that's a mod I do to all my bikes. I think my spider grips made .5 less HP on the dyno than my old Renthal grips....but, what do I know...

OOF Shearer BB Coned/Silenced Pipes 4 sale soon
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I got a good price on these pipes, I just want what I have into them back...no more. I've gotten a great deal on the others as well....After a few weekends at the dunes, and this being my first set of OOF, I liked the two out one side RDZ a buddy or mine had, ...I just happened to stumble across a perfect set I want!!! Thanks alot!!!! -
As the title says...I'll be selling my Out of Frame, one out each side, black, hand built cone pipes, with polished aluminum silencers. You can see a pic of them in my sig, or I can get more pics and as many as you'd like. I bought Chrome, two out one side silenced pipes from a member here, and once I get them installed (I don't anticipate any issues with fitment) I will be putting mine up for sale. These pipes are perfect. I've put about 20 runs in on them. They were almost brand new when I got them. I like the way/functionality of the two out one side... These are hand built coned pipes, not stamped. They were built for a 7mm triple port exhaust motor, but will work with a 4 or 10 mil cub as well (currently running them on my 10 mil) 425 shipping included to 48 states, and that's with a Fed Ex express saver tracking number and insurance on the pipes....no USPS or other shipping game BS. My feedback here is perfect, ask anyone that has bought/sold items with me before.... If I get any requests, I can post up more pics. Keep in mind, until I mount my new pipes (in the mail to me Monday) I will not sell these pipes, I should have the new pipes at my house and mounted on the bike by week's end, so I'll ship out then... Please feel free to ask away any questions.

It's not going to be a HUGE difference, you're only going up 60 some cc's. It'll be torquier...a lil more fun to ride. But, if your 421 was tuned in, and you get this motor tuned in...at a 300 ft drag, you'll probably gain a tenth or two....
