  1. You sure it's not a loose chain and/or worn sprockets and it could be jumping teeth?
  2. I didn't mind the quicker ET up there...LOL. You missed it Shane, my side cover came apart after you left...had to put another one on at 6:30AM yesterday....on the trailer. Always fun.
  3. And get out your wallet...they are EXPENSIVE...but very nice! And much lighter than they look...I think Brady said it was an ounce or two heavier than same length, 'moly... You can't easily put a wheelie bar on it...though, so...figure that in if you must.
  4. Without trying to be an asshole, how exactly does this advance timing?? My ground strap is a tad further down into the dome as well, the spot where the plugs tighten too was machined a few thousands to get a nice flat surface to my stocker head could be cut, Oring'ed and re-cc'd. That would mean my timing is advanced by the plug, the plate and my dyna..... Are you trying to say that because the plug is in the dome further, the fuel has less distance to travel until it's ignited? Don't think that's gonna make a difference... However, it will raise the compression...albeit very, very slightly. Maybe a few PSI at best. I've only run Champion plugs in a total pinch...out in the middle of nowhere... I've run NGK, all different series. EG, EGV, ES, EIX, Bosch, Splitfire, Nippendenso..and even the famed "Autolite" plugs....that were supposedly the ticket. And I'm right back to BR9ES...
  5. We're lucky to have it...considering the East Coast guys have nothing like it. But other dunes blow 'em away.... We don't have nearly the size of land to ride on as other dunes throughout the country...
  6. Ding Ding Ding...round 344
  7. Had a good time out there as well!! Good to see the crowd again. Got home at about 10:30....what a long day. JT...PM brady080 here or PS. He has a RAW, 12 over roundhouse he was gonna sell cheap. Justin made it, enough said.
  8. Nothing like trying to get a bike ready at the last minute...LOL... I got a chain breaker too I'll be bringing, we'll get you covered.
  9. You SHOULD use the kit, with idle screws. You can adjust the idle with the adjusters on top of the new carb caps in the interim...but, you have to be careful...hate to see you turn the handlebars and have it race up on you. Vito's performance sells just the brass idle screws, but you'll need a tap and drill bit...which would come in the kit. Here's how to do a proper plug chop. If the plugs look good after it's done, don't worry about what number jet is in there. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html
  10. Awesome Shane. Can't wait to try my new goodies at Albright either!!!!
  11. Give you credit, you've done your homework. Reeds would be the first thing I'd look at....they effect the midrange the most. If you've tried every clip on the needle...it's something else. You know you need to get rid of the TORS alltogether...and that calls for a new cable as well. New plugs. Check (ohm) the coil for giggles. if the air gap was off, it'd be worse performance at WOT. Look for dumb shit too, like frayed/burnt wires, check for a good ground, bad kill switches. Try the TORS removal and cable first...after that, at least the carbs will be easier to work on.
  12. Dan... I just went from 16/39 to 16/44, I needed two links. I've got a few links of chain....gonna get the toolbox and all my gear ready tomorrow...gotta find the extra chain I had. I Picked up a couple extra 520 non Oring master links as well from Warren Honda today.... Oh yeah...change your sig. You're part of the dark side now...LOL.
  13. I keep it up, I'm gonna be a poor S.E. MI boy too..LOL. I'm really dying to get trip down south. I simply have to meet up with and BS with FAST Jeff. Talked to him a gazillion times...gotta hang out and meet in person. Some day...I'll get down there by your neck of the woods...
  14. That is truly awesome....good for you!!!
  15. If you want to get them back in a reasonable time frame....and get it done CHEAP...call Bob @ R&B Racing. I've ridden a trail ported shee, it's davem06's bike. Nice... I saw his dune port cylinders, they're platinumjasons. Very, very nice port job. There are a lot of guys in MI. A&S, RDZ....but you won't get a better value for your money like you do at R&B. Give Bob a call... I will PM you his number, I don't like posting email addresses OR phone numbers on public forums...just asking for spam email and phone calls.
  16. So...what's the status. The guy was asking over on PS. Did you get the brand new pipes free of charge or what???\\ \ That would be my new best friend if I were you...
  17. Lean the needle out...try 2nd groove from the pointy end. Also throw a 350 in there...
  18. If they did anything every top builder in the country would run them. They don't...tested on a dyno, and they've never proven anything on the track. If anything, the weight will make your intake boots crack earlier...that's it.
  19. Horseshit. I'm not saying boost bottles work, they don't. But a stock crossover isn't going to give you another pony and a half. BS. With pods and T6 pipes, 25 or 27.5 pilots will be fine. 30 are too big.
  20. How long are those runs, Trav?
  21. Going out on a total limb. You didn't put the factory reed stops on the reed cages with aftermarket reeds, did you? Are you using fresh plugs and fresh gas/oil?
  22. I agree with odean. Go 4 or 10mm...7 is a waste... A good 4 mil on gas is a great motor, but...as said, it's great for straight line and WOT riding all the time. 38's will be fine. Some of the top builders in the country swear by the OEM ignition. Just get a timing plate so you can advance the timing, keep the compression in check...and you'll have a rippen bike. And I think once you go cub, any size or stroke, lockup clutch and override are a good idea.
  23. I'm lost...I thought Dan said get inframes for his motor...when did you start looking for out of frames? Dan...buy my pipes, I'll give you a hell of deal.....Tell Dan they're built for a 7mil tripple port motor, hand cone shearers...see what he says. They were built for a motor he built, tripple port OEM cylinder 7 mil. I'll beat that price for you by a ways....and you can run 'em for a day if you'd like.... My new pipes will ship out end of this week...so, I should have them end of next. Don't need the money right now...just let me know.... I'm sure Dan would let you dyno them at his shop.
