  6. Bruce...that's what I thought too. However, after 1st and initial take off, it runs fine...that's the kicker... However, I agree...that would be a diagnostic step as well...
  7. 1st, please take the caps lock off, it's like shouting on the internet. I've used stock slides on stock motors up to a big 4 mil cub...they're fine. If it's bogging right off idle, it's the slides, pilot jet/circuit or air screw adjustment. Did you get a proflow adapter to secure the air filter to the air box? Without the lid, it won't seal...as well.
  8. Yep...look into the airbox, get a mirror if you can't crane your neck in there. The back of the slide should have a half-moon shape cutout on the bottom.... I'd bet that's your problem too!! Your jetting sounds damn close if not a hair rich.

  14. Damn good point, Doug...never thought of that. I have a year old 110 octane with R50 in it..I know it's not compatible with meth. I'm just trying to get rid of 4 gallons of this dam race gas.... I sure as hell haven't had to cut the grass/weed eater it very much lately with all the lack or rain lately... Looks like I'll be mixing up some benoil and gas for the weekend!!

  16. Don, Ebay will not charge you for an item that got bid on and won by a deadbeat bidder. Keep all of your records, emails, etc., together. Make a call to them...they are actually very, very good with customer service. It happens... Now...the other side of that coin.... Call him man to man and see why he went through two or three confirmation steps to bid on it, then backed out. I bet money got tight or the old lady but the kebosh to that....call him out on it and ask him the "Real" reason why...
  17. Same here JT.... I purged mine too. Honestly....I've got a new routine. I'll purge mine real good at the track (the neighbors will really appreciate this) but then I'm taking off carbs to clean them out and leave them dry when I get home. After you having a circlip eaten by Meth, and seeing the clip land for the needle (needle and seat) on old man John's bike @ Clarksville eaten away.....I'd rather play safe than sorry... If that means I gotta spend 20 minutes in the garage after races to clean out carbs, so be it....I can deal with that...
  18. When there is so much fluid in the motor, it is called hydrolocking...and it's BAD.... That's how cranks and pistons get spit out the side of cases.... And running the carbs out of fuel is another bad one....there goes any and all lubrication the motor had when that happens.

  22. If they were bigger, 39 or bigger...I'd have already picked 'em up. They just simply won't flow enough for my alky 10 mil. Seriously, these are perfect for a strong dune motor or smaller cub/cheetah... And the price is without a doubt a steal. Z...did you post these over on planetsand.com yet? They'll go real, real quick....
  23. 2 into 1 air filter, as in no air box. Put the 340 in, middle clip, 27.5 pilots 1.5 turns out. Lean the main from there...
