I agree... There is a wealth to those of us who are deeper into drag racing and bigger, better and faster motors and builds. As the HP goes up, so does the requirement of help tuning, specs, etc. There are a select few people on HQ that are this deep....and they are on PS as well. While I'm not fan of some of the past politics of the site, they're not quite as bad as they used to be. When they got rid of sand slingers and instituted resolution center...it was a step in the right direct for what that site wants to be. I frequent 3 atv sites...for different reasons. They each have their good and bad. Greg can't seem to say much without cussing up a storm....that's just his way. Doesn't bother me at all. But...rules are rules, and they crack down on that there....just how the site is. That doesn't take away from the technical knowledge and folks over there. This site has it's bad apples as well, however...it nice to be here and speak your mind at times...too.

Cam.. All he had to do is post a price. He knows better. You know as well as I do, PS is the same way. Either post an asking price, put it on ebay...or don't get bent when you get lowballed. It's not like he's a newbie...he went through this last time he posted a bike for sale. A bunch of posts saying it was for sale, it wasn't done yet...still no price....etc. If I was a mod here, I would've deleted all the BS, mine included, and just put his asking price of 40 bucks in his very fist post.... I think you can agree that's fair.... Just don't come on here and bash the site....that's what really got him in with this crowd. These members are not all hard core drag racers...and have no use for PS. Nothing wrong with that....we weren't always drag racers...either!

I would actually buy genuine Keihin jets...you won't be saving much!

It was up for a solid 3 hours.....wow.

150s to 160s. Pull the head, check the cc stamping on the side of the domes. Post back...at this point...it's pointless to do a compression check. You could have 120 PSI which is fine for stock domes, but...it could have 18 or 19cc domes which would be very low compression at sea level. Pull the head. A properly in tune banshee should start in 1 or two kicks. The longer you wait, the more damage you will probably do.... Put 8s back in it.

Are you kidding me....? I thought Slavery was abolished, we gave Indians all the land they needed to build casinos. I didn't know there were still banshees running wild... Well I'll be....

How that is still up on the site, nearly two hours later...is beyond me.

Does anyone like the Banshee "Raptor Plastics?"
dajogejr replied to NN2's topic in Banshee Appearance
You get a few redemption points because that is a bad ass truck. Just keep the quad close to the truck at all times to equal things out...a little. I'll agree the rears don't look too bad. The fronts are flat out gay....I can't stand raptor front plastic.... -
On a good hooking track, 2-3 are good wheelie gears....LOL.

Looking for a new set of grips
dajogejr replied to 01BANSHEE49660's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I have had just about every grip out....Spyder grips are by far the nicest, most comfortable grips I've ever used. I have a brand new set of some kind of grip hanging in my garage. I will have to look to see what kind they are, but 10 bucks shipped they are yours. Just sitting in my rafter.... -
Wes....time to dump Norton... I've used it for years, I got a trojan that it detected, but simply could not get rid of it. Get NOD32 from Eset. You can get a free, 30 day fully functional trial. I promise you'll be happier. Then, when it's time to purchase....go to newegg.com and get the OEM version. 25 bucks, good for a year, free shipping.... I made the jump about 3 months ago....couldn't be happier. To solve your problem. Uninstall it. Use Norton's removal tool found here, then reinstall it. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...005033108162039

Is the gas on??

Ok, 175 main jets are too big. BR7 or 6 are TOO HOT of a plug, don't bandaid the problem by trying to put a hotter plug in. And you MUST check compression. If the head has smaller domes in it...which, you don't know....and you're running 91 octane, then you could be in for double trouble. Park that bike until you have a chance to check compression with a good, working tester, not a ten dollar auto parts store cheapy. Hate to say it, but you really need to pull that head off and check the dome size...as well.

If he's riding with big red....which I think he is, he's riding at 7000 to 8500 feet. So...that sounds about right. Us folks at sea level gotta keep that in mind...

Hey MG... A nicely worked 4 mil, 7 or 10 mil cub will do what you want in the right chassis, etc. The biggest problem, IMO, is going to be fuel and gearing. 1/4 mile is a long haul....so, you'll have to step up the fuel on these bikes. Fuel pump, large billet bowls....and free flowing fuel valves. This is of course, if you're going to run methanol. You can also get different primary gearing for your crank/clutch that allows you to stretch your gearing even further. Start with a chassis, first and formost. For pavement, no reason not to build a rigid frame. If you're going to build a 4 mil, it's pretty much a drop in and bolt together motor. If you're going to build a 7...you might as well build a 10 mil since the cases have to be trenched....and the price for the crank/cylinders is the same. You'll need an override transmission, lockout clutch...etc. Greg from Whitaker cuts a 1-6 override tranny. However...and I can not stress this enough...with this particular tranny, you MUST COME TO A COMPLETE STOP with the clutch pulled in before you even think about downshifting. Trying to downshift with this tranny while the bike is rolling WILL BREAK that tranny. That will give you the most gearing options....but that tranny is by far the most picky. a 1-5 is not nearly as picky....you just lose 6th gear. That ought to be enough to get your head swimming....LOL.

No way I'm going to make this trip. Sure I'll there memorial weekend, though... Too much to do, not enough $$.

1. I asked to have it moved since the item for sale is already sold, and nothing more productive could come from it being there, only bumping it up near the top when people still had stuff to sell. I think that's MORE than fair for fellow board members. 2. MJ...this site is TAME compared to other sites. You think banshee guys are uptight? Look on some four stroke forums...it's flat out retarded. Honestly, you spend plenty of time on the site to complain about it like that....

Yep...sure do. I was going to get a red brake plate from Evan....but hell, you got it all... You know how much my bike was used this year....and what it's been through. I'm out of work in 30 minutes...why don't you give me a ringy dingy later homie!! Or whenever, I'm in no hurry...it's just sitting in the garage!! -
And the tabs on the bottom frame rail for stock pipes (who uses stock pipes...LOL)
