  1. Absolutely nothing wrong with Bel Ray oil....quality stuff. I used to use Maxima Super M before I switched to Alky. Klotz is good stuff, too... One you switch to to a richer mixture (more oil per gas unit) check your plugs and jetting. Although you're adding more oil to the gas, you're actually leaning out your jetting a hair because more oil per gas flows a hair slower than less. It might not make a difference in the world...but "Racing" oil is really just a PR print. I'm sure it'll be 100% fine for trail riding, etc.
  2. See what it says on the bottle, but personally I'd run 32:1.
  3. Damn your girl has a big mouth. It was a big job....but I earned my blue ribbon eating that pie. If I knock on the door of your house, and mommy lets you come outside to play...I promise I'd make you my bitch... They let way too many kids play on computers in school now a days....
  4. I don't see the problem. Just shift fast enough, you'll never know the difference... That looks nasty....glad it's being taken care of....
  5. Please do a search...it's been covered a gazillion times. Oil type is personal preference.... The average rider uses 32-1 or 40-1....
  6. Do you strictly drag race, trail ride, etc? Porting alone should get the job done...but who has 65 HP 450s?? I'm not saying it can't be done...but it takes BIG cheddar to get 450s in the mid 60s...... A strong dune port, the proper tire, gearing, etc should put them to bed nicely.... IF all you do is drag race, override is the key to victory there.
  7. Shayne...I might be interested in that Red Carrier...might go with my bike a little better. If someone is interested in the arm but they DONT'T want the carrier because it is red, I have a roundhouse carrier that is aluminum in the same shape, 40mm bearings a year old. Help me to help you..... Bump for my bro.
  8. Hell...at 32 that's better than ever. You can buy parts for your bike and not have to decide between Bud Light or the most God Awful, cheapest beer known to man, a 45 pack for like 10 bucks..... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: I recently met up with Odaen for drinks a few weeks ago...he's from Lebanon, OR, and he was telling me all about the shops out there. I was surprised myself. Dave Moore, I think Redline, quite a few others!!! You guys are spoiled!!
  9. If I can help you post pics...let me know. Someone was just looking for some, and I can't think of for the life of me who.....
  10. I've got pipes for him to use at the track. I've told sheefreak (Think that's his name) he can test and tune with my CPIs... Afterwards, Dan can use them as long as he wants. Obviously, they won't fly at the dunes, but at least he can ride the track with them. Evan has RDZ drag ported stock cylinders with brand new pistons, fresh hone. .080. They need a few head stud/threads repaired. He told Dan 200 or 250 bucks. That price was ONLY for Dan. I don't think he can barely buy cylinders for that. That's about as good a deal as you're gonna find. I will hook him up with whatever I have that he may need. I'm sure I can even find him carbs setup for alky to use for now as well.... I wish I wouldn't have sold my 39 PWKs...they would've been a nice backup/loaner set. Between you, JT, Roger, Evan and myself....we'll get him squared away. It's up to him....but if JT can part with his dunable 2-5 to get a 1-5 instead...I'm sure we could help figure that out. I have an extra lockup....just need a cover. We'll take care of our "little" friend.
  11. Wow....you are owned. Nice find Jaxy.... I'm going to see if the ebay guy will take 10.02, a slightly eaten fishstick and some tic tacs I found in my couch cushion yesterday...that's great....LOL. I will throw in some half eaten snickers bars if he ships for free...
  12. Yeah, I'm sitting here speechless yet laughing my ass off, if that's possible at the same time. I don't even have a comeback for that....that's great. Speaking of our favorite punchline...where has Danno Mano Been? Figure it's tax time, he'll be buying up the parts like the rest of us...LOL. Shayne o mac...dropped my parts with Evan just now @ Lunch. He's going to the Chromer Friday with our junk!
  13. Since Shearer have 3 bolts on the silencer can...I'm sure he can make it work.
  14. Yes...DO NOT overtighten the 6 hold down bolts. 7.5 ft. lbs, yes...7 and a half, is all you need. They will snap off much tighter than that. You rotate the tabs on the 3's. So, 12 o clock, 3...6, etc.
  15. Take a look at these, Dave Moore Racing is in OR as well. http://www.davemooreracing.com/leglizer.html
  16. I would like to know how the guy actually running on the corn compensated for the fuel, jetting-wise compared to gas. As of right now, he is the only person that I've read who is actually using it on his two stroke...everyone else is just talking about it and theorizing about it.....
  17. Do you need to meet a DB limit or not? If you do, two real options. Dave Moore Racing makes a "Legalizer" that is quiet yet unrestritive, and Toomey offers a hush kit with a built in spark arrestor...
  18. Clymers manual.... Basically have to remove the right side cover (foot peg, kick start, etc. just to get to it.) Drain the fluid, radiator...etc. A clymers manual will not only have detailed instructions, but torque specs and pictures as well.
  19. The carb tops come with them, you don't swap them out like stockers when you remove the TORS.
  20. I had a guy that wanted to buy my carbs from Kuwait, but had friends in NY and TX to ship them to, didn't have paypal....told him to send a certified check or money order. When it clears I'll ship them.... Wanted to wire me money to my bank and give him my bank account number.... Told him to get bent.... Like NYUK said, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!!
  21. Play with air pressure, gearing or slipping out the clutch to get it to grab a little...and you'll be even faster... You're losing ground spinning the first three gears.
  22. Fix your jetting, not the gearing...you shouldn't foul plugs at any RPM.....
  23. That will help aid in shifting.... flotek on here used to have every other dog cut off and a few other things. He recently went to an override. As good as it shifted before, he will also tell you the override is the only way to go. These remedies are good for 70HP and less trail/dune bikes. Once you start pushing real power....there is no substitute for an override.
  24. I will let him know as well. He is a moderator along with me on another forum... I believe it is flotek
