  1. Dinner...if you're going on the April trip (I'm not...can't) I got your back. I have slip IN style for CPI like. A member wanted to take them, never got back to me. I know they fit in place of stock CPI end caps, might be able to make them work. Otherwise, I have slip OVER style that I've used on Toomey and Shearer silencer. Either way...I've got you covered. I can make sure to get them to Roger, JT...or someone that will be there to get for you. Flags, stickers, etc. are relatively inexpensive....
  2. At least you know it'll be fully tested first hand (and second or third hand as well...) :yelrotflmao:
  3. At or near sea level, you're gonna probably want to add a little race fuel w/ 19cc, probably 50/50 will be fine. It will be a whole new bike. Gonna come out of the hole like a scalded dog!!
  4. An angle die grinder or grinding wheel will work.
  5. Hell yeah...buy it up folks....LOL.
  6. All questions you should be asking Jeff and/or your builder of choice. It comes down to two things, your budget...and what you want out of the motor and your setup. Porting is done on the cylinder itself on a 2 stroke. There are no valves, etc. in the head.
  7. I'd say that's a nice, tight motor. According to the chart by Dave Noss, and these are ESTIMATES...not bible, at 5000 feet on a fresh bore, stock porting, etc. you'll be ROUGHLY at 137 PSI. Give or take -/+ 10 PSI per 1000ft. I think you're ready to rock doc!!! Hell, get to sea level, rejet and get race gas....that would be a whole new animal....LOL. I keep telling Big Red I have the advantage over him, altitude....)

    HOW MUCH $

If you're gonna be using sand stars, I would hope it a GOOD CHUNK of money comparatively to these haulers... I'd take blewbyu up on his offer to swap paddles. 10's would treat you right.
  9. Do a search. MY recommendation is call several builders. See how they treat you, see if they answer the phone and/or call you back. Keep in mind, it's prime season for builders, off season for the northern guys...so, shops are filling up... See how they treat you, how they listen, if they ask the right questions, etc. And of course, pricing. One more thing to consider....support those that support this site. There are plenty of good builders, one that put their hard earned money into this site should be your first call. Otherwise...like most things, this will turn into insert your favorite builder name here thread.
  10. Thanks buddy...I might be able to find a wheel or two cheap..
  11. Yep...chromoly by Tyson, with the bronze bushings, not the plastic/urethane type. Wallace is interested... I'm only selling it to get a rigid for a good price on PS. If he sells it before mine, I'll just run it next year... Nothing wrong with it, just time for a rigid.... Everything on this chassis is a year old (bearings, heims, etc.) Sorry JT....gotta get into the 3's somehow...and we are at a track 90 to 95% of the time!! I can borrow a ride or watch at the dunes!!!

    HOW MUCH $

K&T Triple port on a stock swinger?? HELLO HOUSTON, we have lift off. I think it's going to be too much. I only run 14 extremes on a 14 over arm on a big motor....
  13. Thanks buddy. Guess who's gonna be building me a wheelie bar if I get that rigid..
  14. As long as you don't ride over a ton of whoops, or don't plan on jumping, you'll be fine. OOF pipes are pretty much drag bike stuff...so, shouldn't be too bad!
  15. Welcome all... Special hello to a Michigan Gal!!!
  16. Here's what you get: Lightened J Arm frame PC'd Translucent Red Front spindles and hubs PC'd to match Chrome Tyson light weight J Arms Chrome Tie Rod Ends Lightweight Aluminum tie rods Chrome Tyson Stem (Stem and mounting hardware is at the chromers as we speak) 14 over aero tube no link metal tech arm, Chrome Front and Rear Marvin Shaws Chrome Foot Pegs and rear brake lever (NO Brakes) Not included: Motor, ignition, radiator, carrier, axle or tires. Bascially a complete roller except axle, tires and carrier. 1500 OBO, buyer to pay actual shipping...or local pickup. I'm 10 minutes north of Detroit, will meet within 100 miles if you pay for gas. I can get as many pics as you want, but as said...stem and mounting hardware are at the chromers right now.
  17. Man that was tough to read... They might, a little..... Try the tester to see where you are getting power with the bike running...that's the only way to figure this out.
  18. Don't set him up "too well..." LOL...
  19. What exactly do you need? Cylinders, whole top and bottom end, assembled...drop in motor? And how much are you looking to spend?
  20. 18's and pump gas? Yikes. Get 8 heat range plugs. Put 162 jets in, it'll still be rich. What pilots? Check the dome size....check compression. 21cc domes to be safe with pump gas. Others may say 20...however, be safe...those who tell you 20cc I can promise won't take a dollar out of their pocket to help you if things go wrong... Not that I will, but, I'm telling you to be safe.... I would put 21cc domes in, then check compression with a good gauge. report back with what it reads.
  21. get a 12 volt test light, make sure you're getting power to the switch, after the switch...and to the head light harness. If you get power there...bad bulb or bad ground more than likely...
  22. 1000 won't get you cylinders and the head. Get it ported, well within your budget....and a big improvment. No way you could get a cheetah or cub setup for 1000 bucks unless you stole half the parts you need.
  23. Stock carbs should not be in the same sentence as a drag bike or cub cylinders. Get your stockers ported....cubs are dune/drag bike motors that want to breathe. You'd be choking it with stock carbs...period. You wouldn't put a two barrel carb on a Sprint Cup car anymore than you should leave stock carbs on a drag bike. At the very least, get some 33 to 35mm carbs, free flowing pipes (Shearer, CPI...etc.) and get some port work done. Then see if you like the direction you are going. If you want to build a bike for beating up on 4 strokes, get a dune port on yours, HD clutch, 33PWK carbs, mill the head a little and CPI pipes. You'll beat 'em all day long, if you can ride and can get traction.
  24. 200 to 300, depending on what comes with them as said....
