well thanks for the help. i got it all figured out now.

another stupid question. how far closed should the slides be. because i hooked all the cables and everthing up but there seemes to be a big gap. idle screws turned all the way down. adjusters on carb caps turned in all the way as to put more cable in the slide. so if someone could give me an idea of the gap size i would appreaciate it where as the stock carbs would close all the way

well ijust got the carbs. should i start with the air screws 1 1/2 turns out? the carbs did not come with any initial settings to go by. so a little help is needed

my .02 the 400ex is to light in the front for some hill climbs. i can out climb my buddies ex anyday on my shee.

well they said they would be close what jets do you guys think i should get as extras maybe. get like 2 sizes up and down on the mains as well as the pilots? if it helps right around sea level

when i ordered the carbs they say they are pre jetted for the mods that i have how close do you think they will be?

pipes, jets, air filter, reeds, that should get you started.

do you think the clear cover would hold up in the trails?? also would the lockout be good for the trails ??

so you can use the lock up for all types of riding

anything is better than stock. im gonna see if i can get the pwk 33's. but most likely the pj's besides the idle problem do they work pretty good.

if you start spitting out alot of radiator fluid you might be getting close.

try greasing it. does the axle have any play in it? if it does you might want to get a set of bearings

stock. my stock ones look like that in the box in the garage.

but when they do put a shee in there they are doing a shootout with something that has double the cc's but i guess thats ok because they still dont usually win in the power area just my .02
