Im stupped I would open it up anyway and lube those rusted spots and replace the o-rings just to be safe if your going to put the coolhead back on. wish ya luck!

if your case is cracked or broken in that area you have to replace it

did you maen you got 65mm pistons or +2mm pistons if you got +2mm pistons you have to have +2 rods to run them or they will hit the head

did you do all the work yourself did the correct parts go in rods, crank, to match the pistons. Not trying to sat anything by all means just checking I always use a list so I don't fuck my shit up.

my next idea would to replace the head gasket was the one you put in metal

try pulling the head again and rubbing some oil where the rust is how did that get in there was it raining or humid when you put it together was it aolt of time till you fired it up and noticed the rust

sounds like detonation what kind of fuel did you put in ( octane)

The only thing I can think now is when your idling its not pulling enough fuel to idle take the fuel filter off

check your spark plug connections real good and the coils wires make sure they are tight, does it idle ok?? I am looking at the clymers right not going thru the troubleshooting section you need to get one of these but I don"t mind helping the kids are asleep.
