I agree.. Also not to sound like a ass at all but did you do it correctly? Have seen allot of guys go to do a comp check and only kick like 5 times or something and don't have the throttle pinned.. Obviously stuff like that will put you way off mark.. RIPPEN

I think he was talking about the long travel kit from so cal or whatever.. Reguardless he is crazy.. Nice bike but I have seen just almost as nice and probably twice as fast for just over 5.. RIPPEN

Oh ok, so I missread it. Your domes are whats damaged.. Ok, well then disreguard my first post all together-lol.. I just seen another thread where someones compression is rising.. RIPPEN

I have seen MANY banshee's over the years and have never heard a sound quite like that, ah good ol dealerships.. However you did your part and so I would ride the piss out of it.. Keep us updated.. RIPPEN

The above quote was the post I was refering to.. Be willin to bet thats the side with the high comp and the one that tossed the plug..? All thats where I was commin up with my theory.. RIPPEN

Huh, your far more brave than I.. I run 50/50 on mine at 175 PSI with + 4 advance as per my builder suggestion.. Though Iam sure some people have been fine with what you describe I think its a bit risky considering there are allot of variables that can make or break what your saying.. However to each their own I guess. Other wise the reason I said I would personaly get new pistions is for several reasons. First is I rather pay the 150/175 or whatever now and have peace of mind rather than just running it and thats based on him saying he has small hole or piece missing out of a piston.. If there is visable damage like that I just wonder whats there that may not be easly seen.. IF detonation is what he is seeing I know it can be very viloent and hard on stuff and thats why I said I would personaly be looking to do a new top end. Otherwise if this is incorrect information I apologize and appreciate your correction, guess allot of what I was saying is driven off being a worrie wart-lol.. Looking forward to knowing the outcome as I have never heard of anything quite like this.. RIPPEN

Yeah i was kinda missleading in saying doing a top end and didn't really mean it as the "fix" even though thats how I wrote it- my bad lol.. Was moreless trying to say after the problem is found a new set of pistons might be a good idea.. Otherwise Brandon, did I read that right that you think 207 PSI is not asking for trouble on pump fuel? RIPPEN
-
Not sure how or why you would have compression jump up like that but with you saying 160 PSI cranking comp and 91 octane fuel = detonation or close to it.. Maybe why the plug pushed out and your looking at piece missing out of the top of the piston.. Personaly if I were you I would plan on a top end rebuild and go from there.. If it was detonating hard your pistons could be beat up harder than they look.. Good luck. RIPPEN

Thats the first thing that came to mind for me as well.. The sound of it deffinatly sounds like more of a plastic sound.. First option is like these guys are saying is drop it off at the dealer and tell them to make it better, after a couple days even if you DON"T have a warenty that would be pretty chicken shit to blow you off.. Otherwise I would take a look at that impeller.. Oh and me personaly I wouldn't ride it untill its fixed, even if it is something simple its better safe than sorry.. RIPPEN

Haha, all us dirty nutswingers-lol As said here pics(although maybe helpfull for peace of mind) are not needed, Jeff's work is VERY clean and respected! Good luck on your sale man... RIPPEN
-
Good advice right here, ask Jeff... Reguardless of what a dozen other F.A.S.T. bikes might be runnin there maybe a different pipe that suits you and the porting better.. RIPPEN

One of the biggest problems with drag cars being a stick is consistancy.. You got allot of guys that even if they can turn strong numbers outta a stick car they cant keep it consistant.. The guys that can pull the strong numbers and stay consistant are BADASS drivers and not very common.. Its pretty dumb to argue really which is better between stick or auto for dragging considering the kind of technology out there today for the auto.. You can get any kind of torque converter for any kind of setup, with strong shift kits or full manual valve boddies, with transbrakes and air shifters.. I think of it as similar to the overide trans they do for a banshee, I know I know its different case they use clutches.. BUT I think you get my point in reference to consistancy and it helping to take out the possibility of miss shifts.. As far as playing and the Challenger it would be hands down a 6 speed.. I wouldn't be looking to drag that car, more want to just cruise it around and have fun and thats where the stick really shines.. RIPPEN

As mentioned Iam the newest member amongst the mods.. I have been on this site since Oct of 04 but like some others at first didn't post to much.. Hell, as a average Iam just barely over 2 posts a day.. I help where I can and have asked questions about allot of things through the years.. Also like Loco mentioned there has been a fair amount of Bs'in but thats all part of being a active member here.. To be honest Iam not sure the total relevance of "status" in reguards to post count.. I know of a few members that are screamin through the numbers in terms of post count but I would say they have less "credit" than some of our less active members.. What Iam trying to say is just because you have a smaller post count shouldn't be seen as anything more than that, a low post count.. Speak up where you can to help others out, you got a tough question, feel free to post it, you wanna state just your opinion, do it up. People are much more likely to base a opinion on you with what you say rather than how many times you say it.. As loco mentioned he and Lee are the only ones that can alter post count numbers.. Lee would have no reason to do such a thing and Loco, although quite the asshole keeps straight on that sortta thing.. So trust me brotha, the post counts you see are legit and a product of MANY days and nights on Bansheehq... Ask my girlfriend..lol Happy posting.. RIPPEN

Who is anybody to say how much advertising is to much, to little, to nice, to mean??? The last person who should get flack for it is a good buisness owner.. People say this is annoying, thats annoying well what if what your saying I feel is annoying? My point is people need to realize that some things are just the way they are and its best just to deal with it or ignore it.. Bickering isn't gonna make everyone stop.. Personaly I could care less.. I have seen more and more people throwin around HJR stuff with each day.. Although I have and continue to be a satisfide customer of FAST I think its great Kevin is getting some payback for his good work and buisness ethic.. It doesn't bother me in the least and I totaly understand a person wanting to support those who taken well care of him... Best advertisment there is, is by word of mouth. Just because a few guys have more "support" than another shouldn't earn them a shit storm but instead credit as a good buisness man.. Furthermore just because YOU feel its annoying to see it allot, sorry but get over it.. I cant count how many times I have read something I felt was annoying but I can either make a huge stink about it and get no where or ignore it, and well, get no where-lol.. Oh, on a lighter note, Iam suprised no one has mentioned that Bigred mentions firehead in his sig and Gregrob mentions bigred in his...  RIPPEN

Thats what I was wondering.. Seems like chains are just asking to jack shit up.. RIPPEN

I think turbo's are easly the most underated when it comes to the power adder family.. I never used to think much about them, actually thought they more just for diesels-lol- back in early HS but then I think in my soph or jr year I bought a little Dodge Daytona turbo z that had been cranked up a bit.. I ended up cranking it up more and it was actually really impressive.. I fell in love with Turbo's then cause I couldn't believe the amount of power you could get out of a mild 4cyl. Since then I have been pretty involved with turbo's.. My buddy's had a sb chev in a old willies jeep that had a suck through set-up, it ran damn hard to but we did have problems with fuel puddles and it was kinda hokey.. The goofballs didn't have the bost regulated so we seen around 15-16 psi quite a bit and Iam suprised it held together-lol.. Used to beat quite a few quads up our little drag hill with it.. Same buddy not to long ago put a turbo on his 5.0 mustang.. Thing ripped pretty hard as well and he was keeping it kinda conservative. He has since then sold that and is looking to TT a small block for his 70 Duster.. Hell, now that I think of it one of my more favorite turbo cars ever is owned by a member on here.. THE358BANSH is his SN and here is a link to his site Iam guessin..http://www.the-raceshop.com/ Damn his car is sick! So what you have in store for your SS? Iam tellin you man if you havn't looked to closely into turbo's I recomend you check them out.. They can be kept very streetable and then flat destroy shit at the track.. Here check this out.. Same car Oh and one last one thats pretty sick.. RIPPEN

That won't happen.. Iam way to broke for any of the three.. I just thought your assesment was a bit missleading and exagerated.. Otherwise I agree, it mostly all comes down to opinion.. RIPPEN

Flat out smoke the challenger? Think you have been flat out smokin the greens.. IF and thats a big IF.. If the "maro" does out perform the Challenger I doubt by any streatch of the imagination could you use the term "flat out smoke".. Bet that 6.1 manual with someone who could drive atleast decent would be quite the challenge.. And I TOTALY disagree about the looks.. Unless they have changed the design up once again on the Camaro I don't even consider the looks of the camaro close to the Chall.. The body lines and features used by chrysler were spot on while building this car.. I actually think ford did quite a good job aswell of pulling in the old school look. Chev on the other hand didn't look as well redesigned.. RIPPEN

Yeah exactly, if the carbs are set up and beefed up for boost they do just fine.. I know a guy around here that had a basicly junk yard built small block mustang running T-3 Garrets that made close to 600 at the wheels very conservativly. Very little motor mods, basicly just did what he had to do to get it boost friendly.. Car ripped considering how little was done! Iam a huge fan of turbo's. RIPPEN
