  1. Yep, you will have no regrets with 15/41 gearing. I just changed mine to 15/41 and like sredish said, I aint going back.
  2. I meant that it fits around a 6 inch diameter. Sorry. I think that it is still about 5 inches to short though acording to my calculations
  3. I am about to take off my flywheel and send it to boonman. Before I buy a strap wrench I want to be sure it is big enough though. Is a 6 inch strap wrench big enough.
  4. Oh yeah have no Idea what snap ring pliers look like. Do they fit in the small holes and pull them away from each other causing it to expand. I dont have any so what else could I use if anything.
  5. Yeah I know man, I'm a dumba**. This is the first time Ive ever worked on a bearing carrier or swingarm so I'm new, just bear with me. If I was more familiar with how it went together then I would know how to take it apart. Thanks Sredish

  7. If you look under the topic lonestar -1 swingarm you will see some pics of swingarm and of a bearing carier just like mine but my brake plate is already on it.
  8. I just got my rad bearing carrier for my -1 lonestar swinger and it came with the brake plate on it. I was wandering first of all if I need to take it off to slide it in the swinger or can I just try to expand the housing with some elbow grease. I know that this is a dumb question but is that why their is like holes and small lines welded into the back of the housing so it can expand?

  10. I remember talking to banchetta a while back and he said that if you cut the back 2 inches off of the airbox lid then you will only be 1/2 hp less than with the whole lid off. I know some people will disagree, but I really just want to know if I have cut mine the way he explained. Does anyone else run lid thats cut. check the pic I posted
  11. Ive found a decent deal on a dyna fs ignition for about 200 bucks. I planned on advancing my timing 4 degrees but Im not sure which is the better deal. I know that I can change my timing for free but I can program different settings with the ignition. Which would yall go with.
  12. Alba action has a banshee flywheel puller but it says that it fits most hondas and other yamaha atvs. I thought that the banshee had its own size. Is this an ok place to get it from.
  13. I just installed mine about 2 weeks ago and yes it is very general that it seemed like it should be harder. I epoxied mine in the rotor holes and I mounted mine on the top of the radiator plastic. I know that this is not normal but I thought it would be nice and I like it. When I have some pics I will post it. But I just was able to ride since I installed it last saturday and I know it needs to be calibrated because I hit 102.3 on the bypass and I know that is off although I am probrably going around 85-88 miles an hour. Thanks for the calibration instructions.
  14. Im sure that any shavings that fall in the holeyou just wash or blow out with air compressor right? And oh yeah, here is something I have never understood. When people say turn airscrew out or in 2 turns I know that they mean turning it 2 revolutions but with the new airscrew how do you know where 0 or my starting point is. When I install do I screw it all the way in then I screw it out 2.5 turns or what?
  15. I am about to purchase the tors eliminator kit to get rid of those hunk of junks. I have seen some pictures of where the air screw goes but I dont remember exactly. Is their anyone with pictures or knows where I can find some to get better Idea. Also, is it hard to hook up the new throttle cables and get them in the right position. I have heard that if it is not setup right then it want Idle or run right.
  16. I know that reeds wear out but what about reed cages. I want to get a set of vforce and their are some on ebay for about 150.
  17. I have a panosonic camcorder but I got it about 2 or 3 years ago. It has digital zoom but it has no kind of computer connections that I know of. I want to post some riding videos on here but I don't know how to get it to work. I'm sure their is a simple way to convert the tape to computer ready but I dont know. Do I have to put it on vhs and then burn it to a dvd and then put it on the computer or what? If anyone has experience or knows how, then please let me know. I got some cool racing videos and stunts on tape of me and other people riding.
  18. I posted a while ago that I raced a rm 250. I just raced him again and it was very close. I had nothing the first time we raced. Now I have sst's, k&n, and 15t front sprocket. He has pipes k&n and I think thats it. Anyways we raced about 4 times. Every time I got him off the line just barely. I beat him the first 3 times. He is a good rider but not that experienced with racing. He was taking off in 1st so I told him to take off in second. So the last or next to last race he started in second gear and we were neck and neck but he was loosing traction and almost running into me. So the last time we raced I gave him a bike head start and he got in front of course but he only beat me by about 3 bike lengths. We raced almost a 1/4 mile on dirt and grass. He never pulled away from me like he did the first time we raced. He started talking junk about how he told me it could beat me if he got traction. I just laughed and said until next time.
  19. I have a 03 with sst's, no lid, k&n, and plan on advancing timing to +4 as well as v-force reed cages and reeds and dyna ignition, and lightening my flywheel. Also not to forget the Noss head with 20cc domes. What should my Hp be at after all these mods.
  20. I have a -1 lonestar swinger that I will be installing soon. I was thinking last night that since the swinger is shorter then the rear shock will sit closer and more upright. If this is true then this should raise the rear up bit shouldn't it? Also I know their are many topics about front yfz 450 shocks but my question is how much higher will they make the front end sit and if they do sit higher then how would it ride with the shee sitting higher?
  21. I'm looking to get rid or my tors and I want to order the tors eliminator kit. I have had a hard time locating a place that sells them though. If yall have any suggestions let me know.
  22. It depends on what gearing you have now. If you have stock 14 tooth then I wouldn't go any bigger than 21MAX. If you have 13 then you might be able to pull like a 22 but whats the real difference if you drop sprocket size but go up in tire size. Go to bluetraxx.com and check out the calculations icon and go to gear ratio. Put your top speed up their and make sure its accurate. Then it will ask for your current gearing and what you plan to go up or go down to. Then it will calculate how much difference it would be. It will also calculate tire size and how much difference and inch makes. But again I can't stress enough how much a -1 or -2 inch swingarm will make a difference and it will be better for many reasons. Sredish and Banchetta and many others told me that a stock banshee vs a stock banshee with a -2 inch swingarm in a drag race then the -2 swingarm banshee will stomp the other anyday of the week and twice on sunday. Not because it is faster but because you hook up so much better. They told me that it would be as much as maybe about 3-5 bike lengths off the line difference.
