If you want to spend about 150 or so on tires or if your willing to spend 150 then I would suggest taking your swingarm and having it shortened by quicksand motorsports. He will do it for 140. Now I know that I have never ridden a banshee with a -2 inch swingarm but all that people who recomend definitely know what they are talking about. I just bought a chrome lonestar swinger off ebay for 350 and that is 1" shorter. Once Install I know that it will hook up better. People say they handle like an indy car too. The closer the wheels are to the engine the better the hook up. With the money you'll spend on those tires I would get my swingarm shortened. But if your heart is set on tires then I would suggest no bigger than a 21" and I would go with kenda klaws or possibly holeshots xct's or xcr's. Thats my .02

Oh yeah sredish, Where did you get the gearing and speed calculations from. From a speedometor or what.
-
I agree with sredish 110%. In stock trim the gearing on a banshee is even a little low feeling to me. With any kind of performance pipes and jetting then it will deffinetly be to small of a gearing. If I was rich I would buy a 15 tooth up front for you because I believe in this mod that much. When I installed I was having to shift less, the pull from the pipes along with the gearing was increadible and it didn't wind out as fast although I have yet to bog down either. I feel that it is a perfect mod for trail riding because thats all I do.

Thinking of buying 2into one carb
williamjernigan replied to williamjernigan's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
does 350 sound like a good price for the whole kit with k&n airfilet with proflow and the airbox. He says that it is only 6 months old -
I have fmf sst's with k&n and adapter plate with the lid off or cut. I have the lid on now but I will soon rejet for it to be off. I am currently running 260 mains with 30 pilots with my dual carbs. I found a 2 into 1 setup though that I want to buy. I was wandering though since it is a completely different setup will the jetting need to be completely different. The guy I am going to buy it from has some extra jets that he will give me but I need to know what my jetting will be so I can tell him what I will need.

I just installed a 15t and it is one of the best mods I have put on my bike so far. The bigger gearing coupled with my sst's and k&n has proven to be a great combo. I have only had it installed about 2 weeks so I have only ridden it about 3 times but man it is like night and day. I can take off in 2nd gear still without stalling and when I put it in 3rd it is like I'm already in 4th because of the different gearing. Nothing but positive things can come from 15 tooth. Less shifting, It pulls better and longer, Super fast top end. I cant imagine running a 16 tooth. I would get the 15 and I promise you will have no regrets.

Yes it is a stock shock

I am going to install my new -1 chrome lonestar swinger in the next few weeks or so. But I was thinking that since I will have all that stuff off the bike I might as well have the rear shock revalved at a shop. Should I do this? I know Ive read that it can make a big difference. I weigh about 160-170 so should I go ahead and get it for about 175pounds in case I gain weight. How should the bike feel after this is done. I mostly ride trails but if I find something I can jump I will.

How do the clear radiator hoses look? I bet their wicked

I have fmf sst's that I just installed not to long ago with the airbox lid on but without the snorkel. I only had 260mains with 30 pilot jets so that is what I installed and it runs good but I know that if I take the lid off or cut it then I will probrably need to rejet to about 275 or 280 mains. But with the weather changing I know I will need to go alittle higher. I am thinking that I will start with 300 mains and work down if I need to. I live in north carolina which is right at sea level and the weather will soon be anywhere from 30 deg to 55 degrees. Doesn't freeze much here. Will I need to change pilots, and or clip position?

Does 160 sound like a deal for a brand new RAD billet alluminum axle carrier. It just has a minor flaw like a scratch or something. Comes with 1 year warranty.

Do I need to just the carrier with brake caliper plate to finish this baby off before I install. Here are some pics of swingarm and of the carrier I am going to get if in fact it is the right thing. I attached a file

Its about time I came accross a good deal. Tell all those other ebayers to step their bid game up. They aint reddy.
-
I was wandering if I could get away with using stock carrier? If you take and drill a hole in center of carrier and tap it and then put a grease fitting in it will it work or not.

I just won a Chrome Lonestar roundhousing -1 swingarm for 355 on ebay with not a scratch on it. I was wandering though will an aftermarket swingarm skidplate will fit and if so then which one. I have heard that you may have to cut the skid plate if you shorten the stock swingarm but I hope that one will just bolt on to this one.

I found a crome -1 lonestar roundhousing swingarm on ebay and I just won the bid for 355 and it is pratically brand new. No scratcher or dents. I LOVE EBAY.

I have an 03 that I just installed fmf ssts with lid on without snorkel with 260 mains and 30 pilots. I plan on getting noss head with 20cc domes and andvancing timing 4 degrees and lightning my flywheel. I have ran yamalube from day one but I know that it isn't the best. Where I live it is hard to get anything else without ordering it. I also have ran it at 24:1 mixing ratio but can I run at 32:1 without sacrificing engine life. Also if I switch oils will it cause problems. I know that you should stick with the same oil but I want some good stuff. Help please.

I was reading my clymers the other day and it said that you could run ngkbr7es spark plugs for a hotter spark. Is this something that any of you guys do or do you just run ngkbr8es?
-
I need to order a jet kit but I dont know if I should just get the mikuni oem jet kit or go with dynojet jet kit or k&n jet kit. Is their a difference? Which do you guys get.
-
I am thinking of having my flywheel lightened but I was wandering if their are any downsides like premeture wear or if it may cause some problems down the road. I dont want to sacrifice reliability.

I have fmf sst's with k&n filter and 15 tooth front gear with 41 rear and I plan on getting a noss head for sure. I migh also go with 2 into 1 carb setup but not sure yet. With the mods I have now and with the noss head with 20cc domes will lightning the flywheel be a good next mod or do I need to have more extensive mods to accomidate a lightend flywheel?
