What would win between a cr500 with a pipe and ports and a 1100 gsxr through the 1/4

My friend wants to get his banshee set up for 1/8 of a mile drag on pavement. He dropped his rear tires to a 16 inch but still has the stock gearing. If he gets rocket pipes k&n filter and cut the head what should his gearing be. We were thinking of a putting a 15 38 or a 39. Dont know how it would run though with the small tires. Also would a stock bike pull those gears with 16 inch rear tires.

I raced a 600 cbr tonight and beat it through one light pole and a little more. The banshee I was riding was completely stock.

Running a stock cylinder so what shot of nos would be good. Will it hold a 125 pop

I am going to purchase a 86 250r trx monday for 1200. The only thing wrong with it is the left case is busted right under the gearshifter. If you were to step on the gearshiter then it would keep going down instead of just rotating around the case. It has durablue extended axle antifade locknut, brand new holeshot tires and rims with good tires up front. It also has a very nice chrome pipe. Do you think this is a good deal. Also any suggestions as to where to find a left side case to replace the one with a hole in it. Its hard to find a used left case since everyone needs one. Is their any used store or something I could get one for lesss than 250 for a brand new one. Any tips will be appreciated.

I have found a tri-z but I don't know if they are fast. Can they beat 250r 3 wheelers. I have heard that they are easy and cheap to make fast. What do you do to make it fast for so cheap?

I need a 86 trx250r side case that is in good shape and has had no welds or holes in it.

I know that this is a little quad but I was wondering since I have seen so many hop up kits in the mags for it. Can this be made to be fast for a small 4 wheeler. If so then how fast

There is a guy that lives near me that has a 400 sport polaris that says he will take any banshee on and woop it. Can they be made to run fast or what. I just can't imagine a polaris beating a banshee or anyother 2 stroke hi performance bike for that matter. He said he beat a 380 banshee stroker with nitrous but I just don't believe it. Could this be true.

I want to drag a 85-86 250r 3 wheeler that I am setting up. I want to run alcohol but I dont know what the best cylinder and head kit is. I want to get the best bang for the buck.

What would be the best set up to fly drag racing a atc 250r. I would like to run alcohol.

I'm 22 and own a home with a garage about 30 by 45 feet. I have had a 01 blaster and now I have a 03 banshee and 87 tecate 4. I love two-strokes and working on them so much that I have been thinking about opening my own little shop in my garage. I plan on fixing carbs, engines, doing custom work like sandblasting and then painting. Also I plan on buying used atvs and dirtbikes that may have a little problem with them and then fix them and sell them to make a little profit. I plan to give people fair prices and a bike that I know will last and run well. I will be doing it kind of on the side at first but if things work out well then I will do it everyday. Since I plan on doing it on the side I want be outrageous with the price of atvs or dirtbikes. For example, I just got this banshee for 1,000 and fixed the topend and am know selling it for 1500. I know how to solve most problems with two strokes as far as topend of the engine and carbs and other parts are concerned, but I don't know much about bottom ends. I have learned so much from up here and from you guys that I have built up enough confidence to feel like I can fix anything. Have any of you guys had a humble and small start with a business like this and faired well. And if so then do you have any tips or advice.

Thanks I my friend is going to get the atc250r 3 wheeler for sale to so if we buy it together he will sell both for 2,000 instead of 1500 for the 250r trx and 1,000 for the atc. I think that jb weld will work thanks.

No its not were the chain popped off its under where the gear shifter comes out the bottome end of the engine. It is right where it comes out and where it is kind of rounded around the metal. You have to get down low and look under the gear shifter to see it. It is a hole about 1" big. Any other advice.

I posted a topic the other night that raised some contreversy but I was just messing with alot of you guys. But on the real I need some advice for myself as to if I should perchase a 86 250r trx or a lt 250 85. The 85 quadracer runs. I much much much rather have the honda 250r though. It is the 4 wheeler and the frame is good and it has brand new holeshot tires, brand new chrome pipe. It also has durablue extended axle. The problem is the engine has a hole right underneath the gearshifter. If you look right under it then you will see it is kind of rounded around the gear shifter were it comes out of the engine. It shoots out oil when it runs. Can this be fixed with jb weld or something. Or can a left hand case be bought to replace it. Or is that section the bottom end. I can get it for 1200 dollars.

I didn't say that I was buying it I said that my friend was thinking of getting it. I was just messing with the pig thing though. I also have a tecate 4 too. I just don't like sassy mouth mutha fuckers. My friend said atc 250rs are the king of the strip.

Well is a 250r 3 wheeler competitive in drag racing.

I need to know if a 85 250 quadracer will make a good drag bike. Do they make alot of parts for the 85?

Me and my friend just found a stupid mutha f'r. He called my friend and asked him if he wanted his 85 250r 3wheeler back for 1,000. He has a 250r 4wheeler that is a 86 for 1,500 and he has a 85 250 quadracer for 1,000. He told us that for the two hondas he would sell them for 2000 or for every thing 3,000. He is so stupid. The quadracer runs as well as the 250r 3wheeler. The 250r 4wheeler though doesn't. Where the gear shifter is the case is busted so it shoots out oil. I figured for about 200 at the worst it can be fixed. The only thing is that my friend wants to drag race but he's not sure of how a quadracer would do in a drag race. We will be dragging on the road. Can he expect to fly if he runs alcohol and have it ported and bored out. What about a rm250 powervalve cylinder. Will that work.

Yeah, Im tickled pink to find it. I cant wait to get the motor back and try this baby out. The first quad I ever owned was a brand new 2001 blaster. I fixed it up and it wasn't enough. Got rid of it and got a 03 banshee, a real mans bike. But I have always wanted a 250 wether honda 250r or suzuki or tecate. Like you'll said, its such a rare find that I would have even paid twice what I did. But anyways, I will be getting the motor back next week by thursday or friday hopefully. Once I get it broke in I will run it against shee to see how it performs.
