  1. shoot!!! i got a clymers right here .... its mah bible
  2. was at the local shop i deal with today the service manager is a good friend .. we where talking about pipes bluing, he showed me a bottle of cream called " bluejob " this is for pipes bluing as to mother's is to aluiminum .. he used it just like mothers for aluminum, it straight took the blue off leaving a nice golden color .... it works great but its pricey .. 22.00 for a lil jar like 2 or 3 onces .... just another solution to the same 'ol problem
  3. i had my rear caliper apart this past winter and man those little rubber sleeves are a straight up bitch to get back in .. i used some grease from the mufler and brake shop cause its for brakes lol .. but it was a pain to gettem back together, i slid em on the retaining bolts and used a pick to gettem in place ... had a headache by time i was done but it woked lol
  4. site looks great her is a link for the site i did up for the local race crew, still in the works tho http://atvbarrack.2ya.com/
  5. for some reason pics dont compress as much as other files do. lol yea ftp is the way to go .
  6. man guys i just gotta post on this one. a friend asked me to take care of mechanics on his son's race quad ( polaris scrambler 90 ) so i recomended that we send the topend to jim @ passion and well needless to say the service was totally great and fast turn around time. the lil engine tuned out real well .. we are runnin a pwk28, koso intake and reeds, hetrick cdi, hetrick pipe, bigbore kit and stroker crank .. 103cc on it and to our amazement it took a 185 main and a 55 pilot to get jetting right .. well he rode it plenty and decided to holeshot it a few times ... he left 15ft scratch on cement with each launch and well it out runs thier neighbor's box stock blaster to its topend then the blaster can take it from there but OMG total props go to jim for the totally amazing port work he did to this engine ..... Thanks Passionre
  7. if it is splined and uses a circlip/split ring where the axle nut goes, then you will need the axle nut for the eliminator axle.
  8. the way we send big zip files is with icq, theres no limit on file size(we send 400mb to 1 gig files all the time) and we use winrar for a zip proggie but winzip is everybit a good ...
  9. the addiction begin's !!!!!!!
  10. i just couldnt bring myself to coat a set of pipes and ruin the chrome. i myself do not like coated pipes ... the one on ur 450 looks nice but, man i just couldnt bring my self to do to my pipes what you did to the toomey's ...... LOL i work on a oil drilling rig so a little bit of elbow grease is not a issue and well worth it to retain the chrome on my pipes.... O and theyre talkin about painting the inside of the pipe with hitemp for a insulation to protect the chrome plating
  11. what ur point? is there a better way other than these guys have mentioned?
  12. if your gonna run turbo blue run it 100% ... they rate it at 99 or 100 at the pump. my wife manages a mobile station that carries it and they test it 2 times a week for quality and octane. lol it tests out to 110 to 114 but ive always ran it in the past and its good fuel ... runnin torco now cause its .26gal cheaper .......... and ya your gonna have to do a compression test and go from there, anything over 155psi and +4 timing i would run race fuel just to be safe
  13. serously?????? ... lol ive always thought that 2 strokes love leaded fuel .... hmmm time to go to school on this one .. im runnin leaded torco mach112 LOL i dont wanna go boom I'm sorry... It's been a while since I read up on that.. it's actually oxygenated fuels... and yes.. it builts up deposits... basically oxidises your motor... Mike
  14. that depends on if the race fuel is oxygenated ... oxygenated race fuel will definately give ya better throttle response and a slight amount of hp for ya. where as non oxygenated race fuel is only good if our running enough compression or a bit of timing advance. but remember higher octane does cause the combustion chamber to run cooler, so all in all its up to you if it's worth it or not.
  15. i use mothers on the fatty's too, it helps take the blue to a tan color but its hella elbowgrease to gettem there tho. my vito's pipes are getting a very slight golden color to em and short of tunin it on a dyno my jetting is spot on.
  16. i friend of mine bought one of the redcat 50's for is son thats 6, its a ok 1st quad for a lil one. its cool lookin, like a lil red lt50 LOL. i was gonna get my youngest son one but he is 6 and looks like a giant ridin a tricycle on it, so gotta find him a 80.......
  17. the hole shots don't wear quite as well as the klaw .. but the traction difference is worth it, my klaws have more tread on em and the mxr4's still out perfom them. we ride all kinds of terain from hard packed dirt ( the oval and mx tracks ) to soft loamy type stuff .. but man the klaws are some tuff tires tho, i have had em for 2 years and not 1 flat and they still got good tread on em. but i think the hole shot fronts suck ... they dont last for shit and they suck on steering, the razr mx is a lot longer lasting better steering front at least from my experience.
  18. wrong! i got both ... i got klaws on my 98 and i got mxr4's on my 03 and the mxr4's literally smoke the klaw's. mebe with the -2 swinger it might be different
  19. a few guys around here where using the ac propegs and the pegs was benin' on em, so they finally switched to the ims/ac peg nerf combo. they all like em way better ... i think ac stuff has crappy fit but look sweet.
  20. the stock needle has 5 clip position's ... ur's has 6 .. its most likely a toomey/dynojet needle
  21. im runnin +4deg we didnt dyno it but ya can definately tell by the seat of pants dyno LOL ya sure the keyway isnt in reversed?? lol it can happen ... relube ur chain and give it another go!!!!
  22. as long as the line fits to the carbs nice and snug it should be fine ...
  23. WORD !!
