    Them little bolts have a bad habit of breaking before you can reach the torque spec.Just snug them down by hand and call it good.Be sure and get the lower clutch adjustment right so you don't have to pull the side cover to redo it.....

    Correct the basket has to come off ,then the shift shaft has to be pulled back some and turned out of the way ......

    The only true fix is the "Holyman kicker fix" It will never rattle again.Just do a search under the repairs and mod forums you will find it.I have done a couple of the holyman kicker mods and all have been rattle free ever since....

    With K&n pods and R&B dune port i ran 360 mains at sea level.It was a little on the rich side...

    320 mains and stock pilots is where you need to be....

    Remove the shifter,turn the bike up on its side.Take and screw couple of drywall screws into the seal a little bit then pull on the screws to remove the seal.Reinstall....

    Check the shift shaft adjustment to make sure the pins on the shift star are centered when its in gear.

    This might be a shot in the dark buts its worth a try.Once on my son's bike basically the same thing happened and the problem ended up being that one of the two wires going to the coil [1 orange and 1 black] the orange wire had rubbed up against the exhaust pipe and kinda melted itself to the pipe.The bike wouldn't start for shit....Its worth a look.     The bog on top end is coming from the 400 mains ,thats way too big. Even on a ported motor thats to big of a main jet.i bet if you start working your way down the bog will clear up...

    I think the 30mm oko's use different needles than bigger keihin carbs.Call carb parts warehouse he can line you up on the needles.The 30mm okos than I ran ,took a bigger pilot than the 34mm keihins that I am running now.I think I ended up with 52pilots on the okos and that was jetted on a dyno.

    I would just stay with the stockers.But if must have carbs, check into the 30mm oko d slides.They can be bought for a very good price.
