  3. Its been a while and this forum has pretty much gone to shit. Sloryder,I ended up ditching the cool heads on both bikes to run stock milled heads.I got tired of the orings and cool heads are more apt to leak antifreeze. Both bikes had .030 milled and i ran about 150 to 155 compression with the port job on my bike,I never checked the compression on my son's bike after the port job.Ran great on super unleaded for a couple of years unitl I sold the last banshee.A cool head does make the bike look faster if anything...lol
  4. Yea we still ride about once a month,Holla when you get back and we will hook up

  5. Alot of people run TDR reeds on ported stock cages....
  6. We ran 100LL at 165 psi on my old bike for over a year and had no problems, 190 is probably pushing it... Mark

  11. Close ,he's 14 but as you know he respects the power of the bike, knows how to handle it and he is not crazy on the bike like most kids his age.Good hearing from you,Tell Megan I said hello......... Mark
  12. Long time no see Marcus,Yea we still ride but now its in the mudd.I sold both of the banshees and have two huge 4wds that we hit the trails and do some mud riding with. The brute force that I bought Daniel does haul ass though,it runs pretty much neck and neck with piped 450s and demolishs a stock banshee. Its fun to see the look on peoples face when they see it run.Hows the wife and boy?I bet he's gettin big, they grow up so fast.We need to get together and go ride sometime. Looks like you have a new project if you need any help don't hesitate to hit me up ,by the time I had sold the banshees there wasn't to much I haven't seen or done to them.March 6-8 is the Clash at Sicily island its always a great time and some very ,very fast bikes. You ought to try and make it, if your off work.Nice hearing from you. My cell # is 764-3641 later, Mark

  15. Here is a set that I was running at one time. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...89&hl=CAGES Better than stock but no where near vforce
  16. Just save a little more money and get a decent port job.It will do more than the reeds and head combined. But if I had to choose between the two I would pick the reeds.I was never a big fan of cool heads... Mark
  17. You never adjust the carb sinc at the tors idle screws. You pull the rubber boot back where the throttle cable goes into the tors box on left carb only.Loosen the locknut on top and you can turn the adjuster to raise or lower the slide.I have found the best way to sinc . by eye is to remove the carb boots or pod filters on the rear of the carbs and push the throttle and let the slides fall back down to the bottom and listen and look at how they land. They should both land at the same time and make one noise when they bottom out. They should also sit even before you start. This is the best way I have personally found how to set the carbs without the sinc. tool. You will also have to readjust the idle if you jacked with the tors screws tring to sinc. the carbs. I never had good luck uising the site glass method. Mark
  18. Geckos are a little better than knobbies but not by much.On my first banshee I went thru the paddle delima started with geckos[horrible] then went to sand sharks [rotten] and finally made the jump to haulers it was like a whole different bike.I have also tried paddle brats and they are also a very good choice.I would even say that snows and pro wedges are better than the first two I spoke of.But any paddle tire is better than no paddle tires. Mark
  19. First thing is get rid of the gecko tires and get some haulers or paddle brats. And at 235# I would definatly go down 1 in the front.
  20. Get the cylinders bores measured while you have it apart,to check for egging and piston clearance. If you have stock pistons the cost of rings is crazy....
  21. I have never used it.I have heard of using it but never had the need. Mark
  22. People are always too fast to change the pilots.Put your stockers back in and you will be fine.... Mark
