  1. I would recommend having the pistons matched to the bore by a reputable builder. Most likely if you need new pistons, instead of just rings, you should have it honed at the least. Not to mention bored if its out of round - which it most likely is. If you don't go that route you need to check the piston to wall clearance for sure.
  2. Where you connecting those tie rods? :ermm: Maybe he meant he's got a set that allows him to "drag" his bike behind his truck.
  3. lmao he's back!! I can hardly believe he even found his old thread.
  4. well TWO of them aint gonna help, pull all TEN off.
  5. You interested in an ltr450?
  6. I believe he wants to trade for a sex swing?
  7. The ports line up?
  8. Blaster pistons? Cut domes? You need a spacer if you dont run cut domes, the porting has to be matched to the 4 mil aswell. Might want to talk to your builder for the specs, not us.
  9. lmao, good luck with that man...
  10. polished motors are always nice
  11. Welcome to the HQ! Just get yourself a Clymers and youll be rebuilding these engines reletively easy. As for the wheelie bar, are you wanting to get into drag racing at a track or what? Having a drag bike and a play bike are totally different set ups, but can be achieved with the right motor/chassis set up.
  12. If its a cast 4 mil 68 mm bore cub you dont need a spacer, just big bore domes.
  13. Im the only one here who likes blue and white/silver I guess... Lots of chrome of course
  14. You gotta post pics of everything if you want it sold man. Those rockets are a KILLER deal and would be gone if we didn't have to read a big jumbled post - most people don't even read posts in the for sale without pictures.
  15. Fuel leaking from where? Got me all confused.... Clutch Cover or not? How in the hell does fuel come out of the clutch cover but no tranny fluid . Pipe was full of fuel? Alky? You can definitely differentiate gas from alky, not like it matters but was the bike purged before you did a leakdown? Floats stick before you pulled off the carbs? What should have been done is this: -Clean the motor thoroughly so you know the "fuel" isn't dripping down the motor making it look like its coming out of the clutch cover. -Pipes off -Carbs off -Spark plugs stay in -Do the leakdown at 6 psi with a new gauge (this way you know theres not a leak under the covers). Let us know how it looks after you use a new gauge.
  16. QUOTE (C&B @ Jul 23 2009, 06:20 PM) I feel youre pain Ive been here. its the fuckin POS plugs that hook to the coils on mine when this happens. Thery are so fuckin loose they vibrate off the sob. check it out man.needle nose pliers fixed that shit You can solder the wires to the spring insert in the cap...
  17. Might as well get it ported while your at it. Don't ask me who you think should port it, that opens a whole can of worms, do a search of the forums for that.
  18. Oh and Pickup coil gap should be 0.015"-0.020" .
  19. He capped in intakes with what? Crossover tubes are a dime a dozen around here you should get one or get a new intake without a crossover. I wouldn't trust them to be plugged.
  20. Spacing can be achieved by tearing up a business card into four sections, loosening up the screws and using the pieces of the card for a gapper, then tighten them down and remove the cards. How have you been spacing? You can use a feeler gauge as well, but business cards are a dime a dozen out at the hill.
  21. No shit, those electrical parts are priced to go fast.
  22. What I was thinking, wonder if hes burning fluid..
  23. The gear has play in it so it can slide out, the gear on the tranny has a little play as well. I think you are hearing your kicker rattle. Need a rebuild kit.
  24. Your shit doesnt even run pablo.
  25. I really like the stock dunlap tires on my LTR450... Shits wears out fast but hooks up awesome.
