Well.. a quality firewall isnt going to be cheap.. I use Sonicwalls or PIX firewalls, but those are probably more then you would ever want to spend. Fixit Rod has a great solution.. just a little Linksys or D-Link router will work just fine.

Yeah.. some of the points in the article were just completly extreme, like regulating the hours at which you are allow to ride on your own property & how big your property must be in order to ride (more than 5 acres).. .just silly shit.

One thing I have noticed.. at least for me is that the more money I make the less money I have... I cant quite figure it out really because when I made less I spent alot more it seems and never was really broke... these days I am always just tapped out.

Thanks for all the help. Just curious though.. I see alba action sports advertises their banshee that comes with FMF pipes,K&N filter, jetting & nicer bars for $5999, why would they be almost the same price as a stock bike? Alba is about 15 min away from me. I would much rather put the stuff on myself (kind of a pride thing), but if they are any good that sounds like a steal. Any ideas why they can charge so little?

Ok, I am set to go and get the shee this next week but havent picked out a dealer yet. There are 5 yamaha dealers next to me and am curious how much a new stock shee really costs. I know the msrp is around 6K, but what does it cost the dealer.. whats their invoice and what can i expect? I really dont like talking to salesmen blind, so any help would be excellent.

just curious, how did you get into that? and is it really worth it? i hear geat things about people making tons of money in it with big operations but i think to have 2 or 3 homes would be awesome. well my grandparents have like 50 units. they got me started about 2 years ago. they helped finance me. i built one and bought another. im lookin to get more stuff but theres not much on the market right now. when i graduate college im supposed to take over some of their rentals. hopefully thatll happen soon. its def worth it if you have a construction background. sometimes its hard to get things done if you dont know people. where i live its not what you know, its who you know. and being 21 i know fuckin every important builder, framer, plumber, electrician in my town. this is key to my success. plus i can do most shit myself. i do conrete obviously, framing, some minor plumbing and electrical and other shit. dont buy single family units. try and get at least duplexes if not 4 or 6 plexes, they are the big money makers. I bought my first rental property when I was 19 and made $95K in the first year off of it, took that reinvested it all in more units and WAM! on my way to ealy retirement. My day job is I am a Network Manager.

Think of it this way... when banshee's stop getting produced they will go up in value... supply & demand. No supply = higher demand. Look at 250R's.. those havent been made in a long ass time but they still hold a high value.

I should have the new shee in less than 2 weeks now (counting the days)... I am thinking that I should go with the FMF Gnarlies Power Packages (or whatever its called from magic racing).... will the gnarlies degrade perfomance in the dunes?

Havasu is the place to go while the water is still warm. But like you said it is a little bit of a drive (4 hours or so).

Well. you could look into Havasu on the Indian Reservation side.. you can offroad right night to the lake and there are some cool trails back in the canyons. I'd double check though because its been over 5 years since I have been there.

Does the green liquid from the gas tank smell like coolant or does it smell like gas? However.. now after reading your first post again i doubt its coolant because you said the bike was running fine when you got it. Also, I would do what Banshee~ said and check the gap.. if it ran ok with the old plug and as soon as you switched it out with a new plug it ran like crap then something may be up with your plug. It can still run with the wrong gap, just the spark wont be correct.

U sure you didnt just drain out the radiator?

Ok, I have heard everyone saying that GPS is the way to go. What are the best models. I know Garmin makes nice ones... so lets have it... price aside what is the best GPS for ATV'in.

What is a good brand/model of helmets... i need a new one and some info would be great. Rocky Mtn has a special right now and was just curious.. just for grins lets say price is no option. I just want a nice helmet.

A while back we were down at a place called Otay near the Mexican Boarder (you ride along the border wall), I was putting around on my '76 CR125 Elsinore, and my buddy had a newer CR250. I hopped on his 250 and went to work riding around for a bit. About a mile a away from everone I found a nice double. Being used to my 125 I just pinned the 250 and was in 4th gear when I hit the lip.... next thing I know I am waking up with the bike ontop of me covered in gas. I felt fine.. didnt think much of the gas, uprighted the bike... kicked it.. fired right up.. locked behind me and noticed that the double was really a triple and my front tire must have hit the 3'rd and sent us both flying. So I raced back to my friends like nothing happend. Now when I get back to then.. they are wondering what the hell happend because the gas tank has a hole in it about the size of a football, and you could see my kneecap (skin was ripped right off my knee). I wasnt hurting at the time, so I thought real quick.. and went to my truck, grabbed some duct tape and proceeded to tape up the whole in the gas tank. We rode for a few more hours, but kept having to patch up the tank because the gas was eating through the tape. Went to Jack in the box, ate some food, * went home... few hours later, i decided to inspect my knee and then rushed myself to the ER. They had to clean all the dirt out and that is probably the worst pain i have ever felt in my entire life!!!! Long story short.. dont be a dumbass and try to do crazyness on someone elses bike.
